Ipsy Reveals Are Up for the September 2019 Glam Bag!

Why wasnt contacted that the 10.00 glam bag price went up to 12.75 now they just charge my card w out letting me know the price went up??? Not ok might cancel my order some products I use n are great but I’ve been getting sh**** stuff lately that I don’t even use it’s not even on my profile confusing….just saying 😕

Ok Ipsy, y’all are making some serious bank now. PLEASE STOP USING DHL!!! My Glambag supposedly shipped on the 7th? DHL still shows nothing. I wish they would not even use USPS anymore either. Even they can’t get a package in the right locked mailbox… My birthday gift is now someone else’s…. 🤷‍♀️

I only signed up this month because the bag is cute…I normally just get the GBP. I’m getting these goodies:
– Murad eye gel
– Ofra/MM lip gloss in Sugarcup
– IBY highlighter in Private Jet
– FAB coconut water cream
– Brow Gel in #3

I’m planning to give the eyebrow gel away, and maybe the highlighter. Pretty pleased overall… so excited for the gloss color.

I get two of the bags and one GBP. Both of my bags have the exact same items. That’s the first time its happened. Both bags have:

My bag is meh this month, though I do love the bag design. I am getting:

OFRA x Madison Blush in Ollie Need is Love (overloaded on blush, and this looks orange-y to me)
Phase Zero Eheshadow in Mush-A-Boom (like but got a gray/silver eyeshadow last month, would rather have gotten the purple shade)
Skyn Iceland Icelandic Youth Serum (sure, why not?)

Add-on: Smashbox Studio Skin Foundation in Light 1.05 (always happy for a try-before-you-guy on foundation)

I really love the shade of the Sundays nail polish and wish that’d been an add-on!

I’ve already gotten the First Aid Coconut Water Cream, Benefit Gimme Brow, Coola Mineral Sunscreen, and Murad moisturizer from Sephora Play!.

I hope you love the Lovecraft Bronzer. I purchased the 3 shade pallet as an add-on back a few months back. I was super impressed with the pigment and blend ability. I also really liked the 3 shades which I was able to take advantage of when the warmer months came around and my tone got darker. Enjoy!

2/5 on the glambag samples, though the add on makes this month worth it for me.

Just wondering how they choose the items they put in your bag… because although they obviously aren’t mind readers, every single month, without fail, there are items I’d love to receive that I don’t get (at least you can purchase them now?) and receive items I don’t use and have filled out my profile as such. This month wasn’t TOO bad, the only completely out of left field item I got is the Gimme Brow, I don’t do anything to my eyebrows but groom (tweeze, wax.) I’ve filled out my profile saying that, and yet, here we are. I purchased 4 add on items that I would’ve liked instead of some of the items I received, not in addition to.

This month is meh for me. I’m getting:

Murad Hydro-Dynamic Ulitmate Moisturizer (yay!)
Ofra Cosmetics Ofra x Madison Blush in Ollie Need is Love (don’t need blush, don’t love the orange-looking color)

Phase Zero Makeup Satin Eyeshadow in Mush-A-Boom (like the color but got a similar one last month, never heard of the brand, would have preferred the Velvet/purple)

Added on: Smashbox Studio Skin 24-Hour Wear Hydrating Foundation in Neutral (Light) 1.05 (love trying foundations before I commit!)

Ideally, I’d have gotten the Murad, Smashbox on the first go, that Sunday No. 35 nail polish (why was that not an add-on??? Love it!), an eyeshadow that wasn’t gray (again) and maybe the IT cleanser.

I wonder if that page of products are what you could get in glam bag are the same products you’d get in the plus and ultimate. If so then it looks like we could get full size Ofra x Madison miller blush highlighter or lip gloss! Crazy but that can’t be right because what would we get in the ultimate then? Repeats?

Unfortunately nothing in my bag matches my profile and one item they already sent in my April bag, so a repeat with old stock. No bueno. The bag itself looks very cute though.

The only thing with Murad which I don’t have dark spots , but I read up you have to consistently use it .. nothing happens overnight.. the minutes you stop using it ( say your bottles gone) you would have to re purchase another since once you stop using it hyperpigmentation reappears . So it’s just like a bandaid or quick fix. Kinda gets you hooked on paying full price for the item . I researched it. And read reviews . So no FOMO here .

Well, after not being too happy with last months GB & GBP ( I actually canceled GBP, I wasn’t impressed) I feel this month will be better, I’m getting :

Smashbox foundation (although I feel I’m getting a darker tone even though my quiz states I’m fair, not light)
Coola moisturizer (don’t want more moisturizers but ok)
IBY highlighter (love highlighters!)
Ofra blush in the peach tone ( actually wanted to get one of these)
The rose gold nail polish (seems pretty although it seems like one I’ve received before, hope it’s different)

I also got as add-on an ofra liquid lipstick ( I love them!) and a Lovecraft bronzer (wanted to try it out, the name got me)

Love what Ipsy selected for me – that Bro’s Gold polish is beautiful! – and I got five add ons, a splurge!

i’m happy with my bag…as long as I don’t get nail polish i’m happy…

Love the bag, but overall items are pretty lame this month. I only got one add on too.

I’m very happy with my bag this month:

Smashbox 24hr wear Foundation in .3 neutral (So excited for this! I got a tarte? foundation in July but they sent a different shade than the one my bag was supposed to have and it was way too dark. Then they sent a replacement and it still ended up being a different too dark shade. So I’m happy it’s a foundation (yay!) in a brand I like for primer and foundation (yay!!) in a shade I can use. (yay!!!)

Sundays Nail Polish in No. 35 (denim blue): I’m also very excited for this. Nail Polish is one thing I always hope for from Ipsy but have only gotten twice? – and one of those times was a gloppy unwearable neutral. I’ve been hoping for some adventurous shades. This fits the bill, and I don’t have any dark blue shades so I am interested in trying the color out.

OFRA x Madison Olli All you Need is Love Blush: IPSY has really turned me into a blush addict. I like trying many different shades without having to pay for full size blushes – samples last a very long time, as well! I get blushes pretty often through IPSY which I’m fine with. The last blush I got was pastel pink and not a good shade for me, but with the new customization I was able to rank pink lower than the other colors. So this ‘terracotta peach’ shade sounds perfect for me. Also, it doubles as a great eyeshadow base shade!

Coola Mineral SPF30 Sun Silk Crème: I’m always up for a sunscreen, and the current one I’m using is near out. I have a lot of samples from various boxes to get through, but I love that little ones like this will fit in my purse in case I forget to apply in the morning.

IBY BEAUTY
Highlighter in Private Jet: IPSY sends me a lot of highlighters (I even had to opt out for a while) but I do like them. They are great for dotting on the eyes as well and I love trying the different shades. IPSY once sent an Estate purple highlighter which is my all time favorite. This shade is a light golden peach which sounds like a perfect shade.

It’s rare I get a month where I love every pick! Initially I wasn’t going to get add ons, but in the end I did pick up the A Beaute Fatale Matte Luquid Lip in Tuff Luv and the F.A.R.A.H. contour brush.

Ipsy is now $12 and not $10 , they bumped up the price

Sadly this is probably the worst bag I’ve ever gotten from Ipsy! Last month was not good either but this month especially I didn’t get good products at all. The add ons are ok for this month but there’s really not too many good brands that I recognized. I did add on a few nice ones though so I’m happy about that! Hopefully next month will be better. 🙂

I’m happy with my bag this month. There were only 7 products that I was interested in and I some how lucked out and received 5 of them in my bag, so ofcourse I added on the other 2.

I can’t complain this month. Getting another awesome fingernail polish shade, lipstick, 111skin eye gel(sounds so refreshing), lilac eye shadow(I have green eyes), and eye brow gel.

How many others got the item that corresponds to their birth sign in the September beauty horoscope article (on the ipsy main page) in their glambag this month?

I cannot believe that in my two glam bags, I am getting the SAME madison miller lippie (can’t recall if gloss or liquid lipstick) of all her products this month.

Ah, well. I added on one other lip gloss and the IT redness cream.
