I’m glad you are enjoying Ipsy – but I feel like I need to point out that this bag was advertised to be at least a 250.00 value – and it is not. One product valued at 40.00 doesn’t make the box a good deal – when the rest of the box is full of cheap, low quality filler that doesn’t add up to the promised value. Just because they have allegedly nailed your boxes in the past, doesn’t give them a hall pass to over promise and under deliver on this Ultimate box launch.

So I’m going to completely disagree ,I love ipsy and glam bag ultimate, I find you can never have enough face and body products.I think Ipsy offers a good value for money and a good product choice .The only criticism I have is that they could pay a little more attention to the actual products you use on the beauty profile.Apart from that I don’t think any other subscription box offers the quality of Ipsy and I’ve tried most other subscriptions. At the end of the day it’s all down to personal preference, for me Ipsy is the best.

I’m disappointed too, but here’s my thinking….I got the Murad cleanser, which I will use, and that RV alone is $40….everything else definitely values higher than ten bucks. The value is there, they’re just not picking good brands except the one “hero item” (Murad or Farmacy)

So wait, did other subscribers get to pick from all of these? I only got to pick either Murad or Farmacy. Would like to have been able to pick the Huda palette instead of RealHer.

Mary Degraffenreed

I think Ipsy is spreading too thin and becoming tacky trash. i cancelled all Ipsy last week and this lets me know how right i was.

Evelyn Carrion

I’m not impressed with this Oct Ultimate. These items look like trial size, those Huda pallets are repeats from previous Glam Bag plus. I think Ipsy thinks that they can blow BoxyLuxe out of the water…not with this Ultimate. Try harder😳 I cancelled my Glam Bag plus because of the delivery issues I was starting to have.

Just caught a glimpse of what I will be receiving in my glam bag ultimate and I am pretty pissed off that I’m actually paying $50 for this box. There are 2 items in the Box that I’m familiar with and can backup their value. The rest of the items are honestly low dollar crap. I’m getting cheap sheet masks (which I never use) which are valued at 1.99 and an eye shadow single valued at 4.50, cheap looking make up brushes and Betty Boop blush. Honestly from what I see the $25 Box has an equal value to this Box, and we are paying double.. Furthermore if you get 5 full size items for $25 in the ipsy plus, shouldn’t we be getting 10 full size items in the $50 Box ? Honestly you would even do better getting the plus and the regular glam bag and possibly doing an add on or two. Sorry for the rant, I just work really hard for my money and I feel like I’ve been completely taken advantage of by ipsy.

Evelyn Carrion

I know… I canceled my iPsy Glam Bag plus because the Boxycharm $21 most of the time out weighted the Glam Bag plus.. plus the shipping was starting to be an issue.

I’ve gotta be honest. I was not thoroughly impressed with the Ultimate Products either… HOWEVER!!! I’ve been wanting to purchase the Farmacy Green Clean 🧼 for some time now and it retails for $34.00. I picked it as my customization item so I’m for sure getting it. So in all perspective, o DONT mind paying an additional $16.00 for 7 additional full size products plus 4 deluxe samples… ESPECIALLY when I have 3 girls ages 11,12,14. All of them would LOVE to get their hands on the stuff I don’t want. I love beauty subscriptions because I can easily afford to spoil myself and them as well!

**Update** replying to myself here… so I said I’d be OK paying $16.00 for 7 additional FULLSIZED items… not 7 crappy products they threw together and are just claiming to be full sized. I asked for a refund. They gave me 800 pts , enough to pick a full sized item from the rewards page- IF you can call it that. It’s AGAIN a bunch of CRAP we’ve already received and items I literally haven’t even opened. No I don’t want doubles as an apology. Besides, if that’s the case, where a
Is the other 7200 points you’d still owe me? Outcome? I canceled Ipsy and signed up for a 2nd body charm box (you get an additional Tarte palette when you sign up right now and I’m hoping for the Clay Play). Plan is to upgrade that account to premium for $35 a month when the waitlist opens up. Then I’ll have a Boxy, Boxy premium and Boxy Luxe. Ipsy, you officially ticked me off, was only a customer since June of this year….

I just posted pretty much the same thing. The value is very good, they’re just not picking great brands/products and too many repeats. I have hope they’ll improve as they go along like the regular bags did.

The Ipsy FB page had a live video the other day (still up) with more spoilers. The GBP is larger, solid black with a small red Betty silhouette and the same sequined back as the GB. No mention at all of the GBU bag. They had a Trestique highlighter and some others beyond what we see here. So maybe there is hope. I didn’t pay a lot of attention because I already canceled/skipped everything.

I nevergot customization email from Ipsy. Didnt know there’s customization. I am very annoyed. Makes me enraged I want to cancel, especially after seeing the spoilers. What a waste of money.

Does anyone know if those of us who are getting both GBP and GBU will be getting two of the bonus mascaras (due to the bag issue), or will we only get one. I got an email saying that it would be included in my ultimate bag, but said nothing about my plus bag.

I am really hoping they are keeping the gems of the ultimate bag under wraps. However with so many people cancelling I would think they would do some damage control and post more spoilers if they had them. So I will most likely cancel ultimate after November spoilers and just keep my plus bag.

I wonder if they have some Sunday riley hidden for those of us that stuck around. 🤔

I would really think they are keeping something under wrap as well. The bag is suppose to be valued at $250.00 plus. Most of the spoiler in round #2 seem to be sample size or a very low retail value. I am really hoping for the best.

Doing value calculations, what they’ve just shown is right around 250.

Thank heavens I cancelled!!!

Soooooooo disappointed Ipsy!

Really, another black liner? This is crazy! I could take up calligraphy with all of the black liners I have from Ipsy.

One great thing about all of the black liners, is that I will be using some pretty pricey products when I do my little cousin’s Halloween face makeup.

I see I’m not alone in canceling based on these “spoilers.” Realher, then more than half repeat items? Ipsy, what are you doing?!

I was just getting the glam bag but decided to go for the ultimate bag as well. I was super excited thinking the first bag will rock but now I am not sure what to think after the spoilers. When is the cut off to cancel the ultimate or is it too late for October?

$50 for this. I will stick to the plus.

I canceled the day after I signed up.

I had to contact Ipsy 2 times because it still showed as if I was getting the Ultimate.

✴🤷I’d double checked to make sure it says not active.

I think Ipsy’s over- extended themselves as my GBP was really lame last month.

I cancelled every bag and box I had a subscription for, which was a lot of bags.

I don’t regret it for a second. ‘)

I loathe Real Girl cosmetics.

This is not exciting at all.

I would like to see the bag. Has anybody seen the bag that comes with this?

Sure. It’s the Betty Boop eyes bag that was spoiled last month. Each tier will get the same BB bag. You can find it on the spoiler link in MSA for October Glam Bag.

I thought plus and ultimate had the same bag but it was different from the regular one.

I’ve loved my ipsy gbp sub since I signed up and when ultimate came out I jumped on it. It seemed like a great deal if we were to be getting the quality products we have been getting. But seeing these spoilers made me finally just cancel.
I was on the fence too due to the Boopening but I was thinking that even if it’s just one or two products from the Boop disaster it still wouldnt be horrible, but it is.

Realher is not appealing in the least. I just received one of their palettes from another sub box and cancelled that sub right after that. Not impressed. The HUDA palette isnt appealing to me. I received a HUDA palette from gbp, the mauve obsessions, and didnt like it, so I dont want another in a different color. I dont know anyone to give them to, so that’s not an option for me.

Maybe November will be better. 🤷‍♀️ If not I can take that money and save it or put it towards something I can pick out myself.

Canceled Ultimate and paused Plus. None of it is exciting and I’m happy to save the money. Hoping for better in the future as I love ipsy.

While I expected the ultimate to be a mix of GBP & regular glam bag…. this was a poor month to launch a $50 a month subsciption when it’s one of the most underwhelming months across the board. Usually in my gbp theres a few hero items I’m hoping for , but this is the first time I felt the urge to pause. It’s not exciting for spoilers of a new subsciption to include repeats mixed with a few mediocre peoducts…topped with cheesey collab no one wanted.
If any subscriber has been receiving either of their subscriptions the past few months they have received the majority of this. $50 a month needs to impress people a little more .

That isn’t true actually. I haven’t received any of the products spoiled and I have been with GBP since the beginning and the regular GB for a year and a half. I have the mauve version huda pallet but that is it (which is different than the colors above).

Not everyone gets the same variation every month. I am excited to be able to try out the Murad this month in the ultimate as I didn’t have a variation with it last month in the GBP. The value of one item almost covers the cost of the box.

Anything I get that I don’t like or won’t use I share with my sister and friends. Makeup that I don’t particularly care for that my friends wont like I give to my friends little girls for play makeup or their teens. LOL they call me the makeup fairy 🙂

Elizabeth Carcone

Just canceled. Not paying $50 for something that isn’t exciting.

I did not cancel Ultimate (but I did pause Plus). I haven’t been with Plus for that long so I don’t have any of these products. But I just didn’t like any of the spoilers at all for Plus this month, and some of these Ultimate products are things I’d like to try. Yes, I was also expecting something more spectacular for their first month, with some “wow” products. I think their decision to go with quantity over quality may be the issue. $50 divided by 12 is just $4 per product. I think the reason BoxyLuxe seems more impressive is that they have fewer products but better size and “wow” (Sunday Riley Tidal Cream). But when you go with fewer products in an expensive box, there is the risk of sending something that person can’t use (like the curling wand that was sent to my naturally curly head by Boxy), so suddenly a 6-item box is a 5-item box. I may cancel Ultimate after this month, but I wanted to try it at least once!

Soooo glad I never subscribed! I had cancelled my regular Ipsy years ago, have received a few Plus bags (hated most of the items) and finally deleted the app yesterday. This Ultimate trap screams desperation to me. Their CS is appalling to boot.

I decided to stick it out this month and see if there’s something good not being shown. I was hoping to see more brush sets & maybe some nice quality setting sprays, lip oils, etc. Something more worthy of a $50 box and not less than what I could get in 2 GBP subscriptions. I think many are disappointed that the bags are all going to be the same too. Maybe they should have held off until Nov. to get a little better prepared. That being said……
I have loved nearly everything I’ve gotten in GBP since day one when it launched last year. That’s over 60 products since a couple of bags had 6 products instead of 5. Out of the over 60 products, there have been 4 that I couldn’t use, which I passed on to my daughter. I do my reviews & update my profile every month. Since then, they are nailing my bags every time including color matching foundations, blushes, lip products, etc. They are also sending me the items I get to choose each month. That is FAR More than other sub box companies are doing. And their customer service team is Amazing as well as their IT staff that makes this all possible…especially things like setting up the site so we can pause ourselves without cancelling if we need to.
Thank You Ipsy ❤
