Really disappointed with Birchbox today. I was $78 away from ACE. So, I carefully selected items for my CAD order so it would total more than $78. My order was over $80. I immediately checked my loyalty status. Birchbox said I am $4.21 away from ACE. That is just plain wrong. Not much customer appreciation in my opinion. Sent them an email. I’m thinking of cancelling.

I don’t have an active subscription anymore but because you still get to keep your points even after you cancel (for 6 months I believe) I used them all and took advantage of the free shipping today!

I actually got a really good deal with this using the points I cashed in this month. The Erno Laszlo Detoxifying Cleansing travel set is 30% off which stacks with the 20% off site wide. I threw in an Acure sheet mask to hit $35 and got the mystery sample pack. Total after discounts was $22 and then I cashed in $15.50 in points. So ended up being $5.86 shipped for all. So if you have some points in your account, it’s a good time to cash them in.

I was also hoping for more, but it reads like it is a month of sales, so maybe we have to be vigilant to find what we’re looking for at the price we want. I probably won’t be vigilant enough to catch much, but some people likely will. And for them, hooray! Also congrats on nine years, Birchbox!!! Looking forward already to your ten year birthday.

Do Aces not have a 3-month, 6-month, 12-month commitment like non-Aces? I wanted to subscribe to an annual subscription for the free beachwaver but I’m afraid that that ship has now sailed (although I suppose the $10/month might make up for it).

Yes! We did get points in prior years. Last year they gave ACEs $10 in points and $5 for everyone else. I’ve been with BB since ‘13 and ACE since Dec. of that year. And, this is the first year as an ACE they didn’t handout points. Pretty disappointed!!! Hoping they surprise ACES with a 48 hr $5 in points sale. Because, come to think of it… I think they have only done that once this year.

I only found 2 bogos on the entire site, an amika hair mask and a marcielle mascara. Also pulling the limited editions that were in the sale section at 30% off out and making them full price again is not cool BB

I noticed they pulled those kits out of the sale page too. Disappointing. Only the “Workout and Go Hair Kit” kit remains. It’s nice that the 20% stacks automatically with 30% off Sale items. That’s makes the “deal” about 44% off for ACEs + can still select a gift with purchase item (for CAD there are some full-size GWP items)
The kit has a baguu, shower cap and mini brush for about $21. I have too many items like those to pull the trigger. I don’t see stellar deals when compared to last years black Friday. I think just have to be patient and not hover too much on things I don’t necessarily “need”.

So far I am underwhelmed. 20% off a $35 purchase? They run something silimar on a regular basis.
I want that coral kit, but not paying $42. Make it $25 with free shipping and I’ll get it.

I caved on the coral kit. And the smooth hair kit, which I think is new. The value seemed worth it for me with the discount. I will be disappointed if it moves over to the sale section for 30% off!
