How long does it take for them to put the $49.99 charge back into your account?

Hi Liz, could you note what the restrictions are on this trial? I just tried and it said it wasn’t available where I live – Washington,DC

My goal this year is to only buy secondhand or rent clothes, so this is perfect. However, it’s nearly IMPOSSIBLE to find the required 8 styles in order to receive a box. A lot of the sizes are out of stock.

Hi Liz,

I did follow the link and it did say free trial. It showed $0 as the charge on the confirmation page as well as on the email I received from American Eagle. When I noticed the $49.95 charge I called them and they said they would process a refund which would take 24-48 hours. Seems like a mistake on their end and not with the link provided, etc.

Hi Lisa,

I just signed up to test this after seeing your comment. On my credit card statement, it shows a $49.95 charge, and then immediately a $49.95 refund. Did that happen for you?

When you placed the order, did the button say, “Start my free trial” ?

Why would anyone rent their clothes? They’re not expensive…

They’re expensive at full price. But if you can snag things on clearance, they’re super affordable. Or like someone else said, the thrift store. But you have to be happy with “last season” clothes. If it’s important to you that you were the “newest” styles, then $50 is probably worth it.

It isn’t working for me. :/ anyone else having issues with it?

Sorry about that! Link should be working correctly now. Let me know if you have any issues.

Ummm $50 a month to RENT American Eagle clothing? You can go to the thrift shop and spend $50 and OWN your very own American Eagle clothing 🤷🏻‍♀️

Forget the thrift shop, you can go to their clearance section! I bought my daughter two pairs of jeans and several tops for under $50 just a few weeks ago!
