I paused for September now October is looking like a Pass too. I think I’m going to cancel Allure along with Birchbox and Play By Sephora because I’m signed up for Ipsy Ultimate and I just signed up for BoxyCharm Premiums waitlist today. Ipsy and BoxyCharm are my favorites anyways and the amount of products I’ll get from those subs now is already going to be a ton.

Can someone give me the email address 5o cancel with them ? I had it before and can’t find it. Thanks.
I emailed them at [email protected] and they didn’t send me any kind of confirmation, but I checked a few days later and they did cancel my sub.

my vote would be a big nope the way this box is going

I’m genuinely excited for this box; I just ran out of my sunday riley face oil that they sent previously and loved it. Also, I’ve never actually used bum bum cream (somehow), so I’m stoked.

The only think I want is the Sunday Riley☹️ Bummer. The bath salts is the last thing, right? 5 items? Not sure if I want this box.

Jessica
The bath salts is a super lame item. These aren’t the full spoilers yet, however, so hopefully they’ll add another product or two, but I can definitely see why people aren’t excited for this one. If I didnt specifically want those two products I would definitely be annoyed.

I would pass, but it seems that’s not truly an option. I asked to skip August, have a confirmation, then this month I received it anyway, and then I get a notification that my September box shipped. They didn’t let me skip the month, just billed me twice the next time.

I really wish they offering a skipping option like Ipsy. I just canceled my subscription. Wasn’t impressed last few months and October box either.

Before I canceled, I was skipping every other month by calling and being specific about what month I am skipping and what month I am expecting to be billed and my subscription to restart. After reading this, I think I should go back and check my bank statements. Here’s the number 1-800-274-1603

I have finally cancelled through Amazon. Same boring stuff I have untouched piles of. Nobody wants to buy it and I can’t even gift it.

Dawna
I have been skipping every other month, but yesterday, I called and called. I just can’t justify paying $16.48 for a box of stuff I’m not going to use, can’t even give away and can’t even swap it. If a box comes along that I want, then I will call and resubscribe for that box.

I still think Allure is a great box. There is usually one hero item which covers the cost of the box. However, I think it makes much more sense to spend $21 for boxycharm of $25 for GBP. If only allure is a $10 box then it would be a no brainer.
I still check the spoilers for the hero items. If a really good one pops up, I am willing to pay.

So I called in to Allure yesterday to discuss the Model Co Eyelight in St Barths that we had already received in our May boxes. I was told that there will be multiple color options sent out but no one who subscribed in May will get the St Barths again. If we do get it, to contact them and they’ll send out another color.

Oh, cool. Relaxing bath salts.
I got a bottle of Kneipp body wash years ago.
That stuff was the bomb.
Noe I have a good reason to give the tub a thorough scrub.

I really don’t want Brazilian Bum Bum creme. In October.

Well, I did it. I called and canceled. They did not seem surprised nor was I offered any incentive to stay. I was asked why. My response was that I am not happy with the contents of the boxes this year, the curation and variations in boxes. I have not been treated as a loyal subscriber, so I see no need to stay a loyal subscriber when something is no longer cost effective for me. I’m making some changes in my life and in my budget. Allure did not make the cut. I will definitely continue to watch for future Allure Beauty Box spoilers and when and if there is one that I can justify as cost effective for me, I will gladly call and reactivate my subscription.
It’s not that this isn’t a decent box, it just isn’t for me. I’m looking at things from several directions here including how long I have been getting beauty subscriptions.

Looks great! I received my August box yesterday so I’m guessing I’ll get the October box by Christmas. 😂 I love this subscription as I recently started to wear light makeup again. Plus I’ll take all the skincare I can get.

I’m actually hoping that I can order this box before it sells out! Don’t really care about the Eyelites, but everything else looks great!

I haven’t heard of these boxes selling out.

Right? There hasn’t been a single GBP spoiler for October so far and I rely on those to know whether I’m gonna skip a month or not.

I am loving the spoilers so far! I was dying to try the Brazilian Bum Bum cream, and Sunday Riley is always good to receive, I’m not exited about the eyelites are not bad but I don’t use them as much as other products. Love the idea of the bath salts I don’t have a bath but for soaking my feet will be great! So far so good! 😍😍

Bum Bum is a little like crack, never do it the first time and you won’t pick up the habit. It’s heavenly, but essspensssive 🙁

Valerian root already smells like feet.
Reply
Ragan
It does for sure smell like feet in cat toys. But I have tried bath products from that brand before and it is not bad there. I think because there is less and it is in a blend.

Wish it was a bigger bag! I got excited until I saw the size. I love bath salts and foot soaks.

I cancelled. For $6 more I’ll get boxy with 5 full sized items. Allure became a junk box

Agreed. Im kicking myself for not cancelling it sooner than I did in August. I joined when they had the Sunday Riley CEO n hasnt been a “great” box since. N that was last October I think. Lol. They are really at the bottom of the heap thats currently available these days.

Same as me loved getting C.E.O. oil full-size, but every other box has not been great – my $10.00 promo box is up in November and I’m cancelling , can’t justify spending $15.00 for this box at all .
Charlotte
Seriously?
The only thing I want in this box is the Sunday Riley. I hope it’s a decent size. I’m going to be annoyed if it’s a tiny sample size I could have gotten from Sephora for free.

What size is the mini? I can’t find any information about it.

Oh nice, how big is the mini and where can I purchase it? I could not find it on SR’s website or Sephora.

Charlotte
I don’t think they actually know it’s worth $10. I looked and couldn’t find that information anywhere.
Sherly
Totally agree with you! This past few months I really like the products I’ll never try otherwise like the aromatherapy night mask 175 dollars, I’m glad for that sample.

You said it. I personally like mini sizes because it helps me determine if a product works for me before I commit to a full size.

After my $10.00 4 month per box promo is up this October I’m leaving allure , don’t feel I want to pay $15.00 for this box , dislike half the stuff in most of there boxes last 3 boxes , this one is decent I guess … for $10.00 . Need to put that $10.00 from this box and Sephora play $10.00 to IGBU 🙂
But I will be back when they offer a great promo like they did full size SR CEO oil with sign up , so I won’t be gone too long until some great promo comes back to allure that always snags me 🤣

Salena
Omg that’s a promo? I’ve been paying $10 for 4 months but I thought that was just my price? I need to cancel ASAP if that’s the case because I really don’t think this box is worth $15 for me. I want the Sunday Reilly cream but that’s about it and I’m sure it’s only a sample size. Does anyone know if it’s a sample size???
Reply
Lynda
Chances are it is not full size. Full size is $65
Your Friends @MSA
Hey Selena, awesome question! According to their website, the Sunday Reilly cream comes in 1.7oz size.

I’m happy – this is still a good value box. Except they sent me the St. Bart’s in May, so I hope I get the other color this time.

Nope. I’m done for now. I’m redoing the budget and looking closely at what I spend money on and wether or not it’s going to actually benefit me or not. Lately, Allure just isn’t cutting it for me. I definitely have other things to spend the $16.48 Allure costs me. I will keep an eye on Allure, but, for now, I’m just ready to cancel.

Whoa I like this box!
If I get eye shadow in gray, it will be the perfect box for me!

And that makes this box a No. I might have tolerated the ugly repeat eyelites, but I don’t do bath or foot soaks and don’t want to be wasteful. Money saved
