FYI – The last day to subscribe to the Boxwalla August 2019 Beauty Box has been extended to August 10th (or until they sell out).

The theme is 'The Secret Symphony of Skincare':

This August we are excited to feature the magical Heart of Goldcreated by aesthetician, herbalist and massage therapist Ally Draizin who manages to create products that are so gentle yet extraordinarily effective.

Each August Beauty Box will contain three full sized products, including one product that hasn't yet been released to the public. Retail Value: $180

Each August Boxwalla Beauty box will include:

1) Sea Change Cleansing Balm ($44):  An emulsifying balm cleanser that Ally accurately compares to ‘drinking chamomile tea in grandma’s china cups’. With chamomile, fennel, sal butter, morninga, meadow foam seed oil (& more), it provides a special kind of soothing pleasure as you massage it into skin, both day and night (we like to leave it on for 5 or more minutes to let the skin drink in the moisture). It melts into milk with water, rinses completely off, leaving the skin touchably soft, nourished and bright.

2) Sweet Briar Hydrating Nectar ($70): This is a multitasking product that can fit into multiple steps in a routine. A hybrid hydrating serum/light moisturizer (that Ally calls a rose and aloe moisture milk), it works beautifully in the water-based serum step (before oil), as well as a light moisturizer over an oil. You can also use it under the eyes as an under eye gel. It is calming, soothing & hydrating.

3) Modern Love Gommage Gel ($66): This not-yet released product is a ‘gommage exfoliator’ with wonderful ingredients like matcha, colloidal silver, manuka honey, tulsi extract, holly extract and more. You apply a thin layer onto your skin, then after 30s-1 min, you massage it off in sweeping strokes as it peels off in flakes. Wipe off with a wet washcloth and voila! Smooth skin for days!

What do you think of the spoilers?

The Boxwalla Beauty Box is $49.95 a box. Check out our Boxwalla reviews to see what has been in past boxes!

This packaging reminds me of the 80’s and every time I look at it I think of The Wedding Singer with Adam Sandler.

Hands down Boxwalla is my favorite subscription box.

I always think of Saved By the Bell!

I can’t decide on this ! I definitely have too much that i need to use up first, but I could use a new cleansing balm. 🤔

I’m torn as well. I don’t really need anything, especially yet another new serum, but I can’t say I have anything quite like the gommage. I tend to shy away from face scrubs and exfoliators (other than the liquid/spray kind) due to my sensitive skin and spider veins that can worsen with harsher exfoliants. So maybe I can use trying out the gommage as my excuse…. 😄

Not to be an enabler, but if you haven’t tried out a gommage I think this one seems like a great one to start with! I love gommages. They’re quite messy, so make sure to put some tissue or a paper towel in your sink before rolling off the product (and dead skin). That’ll make for a very easy clean up afterward 🙂 When I’ve used a gommage, after rolling off the product & rinsing any leftover bits off my face, my skin always feels super clean & soft… even more so than any typical physical exfoliant. 🙂
