CHECK YOUR BANK ACCOUNTS!!! Oh! Wow! Allure CS is seriously ticking me off! I called to skip the July box at the end of June. I waited until past the 20th to update my credit card information. Nowhere does it say that if you do that, you’ll get billed again. Nowhere does it say that you’re getting billed for that month. But, sure enough, I got billed overnight and shipping info too! I called and told them not to send it! Said they can’t stop it? Oh bull! If it sits waiting in the warehouse for days, yes, you can. I was pretty specific when I called. I just wanted to skip July. After all, even though I’ve been subscribed for two years, I’m certainly not treated like a valued, long standing subscriber. So, why should I keep paying for sucky boxes I don’t want. So, the Allure CSR I spoke with last month chose to completely deactivate my subscription instead! Just wow!!! I noticed it today and called. Luckily I happened to write down who I had spoken with the last time. Apparently if you tick certain allure CSR’s by interrupting them because they’re doing it to you or you have to be a bit stern, they just do whatever the heck they want! Now that I’ve looked at my transactions, not only did I get charged for the July box that I did not want, but I paid for it 3 times?! That’s just under $50!!! For 1 allure box that I wasn’t supposed to get or get charged for?! I’m told it will be up to 2 weeks before all stolen funds are processed and returned to my back account?! Oh! I! Don’t! Even! Think! So! If y’all can take it out immediately, you can put it back immediately! I did speak with my bank, I gave them Allures number and I am going to be relentless about this! The bank is giving them until 8:00am EST Friday, if it’s not all refunded except for the charge I authorized for August, they will be reported for fraudulent transactions. I’m going to be looking back at every single bank statement I have…
After over 2 years of being a loyal subscriber, I finally started skipping boxes after April. I got tired of the variations and getting the bottom of the barrel. Plus to hear how well they treat some loyal customers with random free stuff and then new subscribers too??? What do I get after over 2 years of being loyal? This!!! No necklaces, earrings or random packages. Nope. Just screwed over!

I sent a cancel subscription email on June 24 but I was charged today (8/5) for the August box. How do I confirm cancellation of subscription?

Unfortunately, you may need to call them. 1-800-274-1603

Is the Sunday Riley full size?
Because it says it’s 8 ml/ 2 oz which it would be a travel size.

Does anyone know if I resubscribe thru Amazon will I get items as shown on Allure web site (and spoilers)? Amazon shows “Explore a recent box” with completely different products.

Amy

You will not get the new member gift when subscribing through Amazon.

Reply ButtonReply

Leslie

I subscribe though amazon and get the same boxes. They still ship from allure amazon just manages the subscription. I never got my welcome gift though 🤔 but I don’t think you would get it anyway if you’re resubscribing

I never ever received a welcome gift nor have I ever received any of the referral gifts, and I am referring specifically to the Sunday Riley gifts, but I would have gladly taken the OUAI gifts when they were giving those out as well, but instead I recently received a letter stating that I will never receive the Sunday Riley gifts bc they ran out & will not be stocking. The letter however, made it sound like I purchased the Sunday Riley, stating that they would refund me in the form of payment that I used??? I have been a loyal subscriber of Allure for awhile, have gotten family members & friends to also subscribe, but these gifts that they promise are a joke bc I have never received the advertised ones over the years, nor has any of the people that I have referred. If you subscribe through Amazon it does come quicker & you can cancel right through Amazon online as oppose to calling Allure, so it’s easier dealing with your subscription in that aspect.

Nicole

You get it if you resub, they just don’t give the gift if you sub through Amazon. They used to, but stopped doing it 6-8 months ago.

Jessie Mendoza

Do I still get Sunday Riley if I subscribe through amazon?

Reply ButtonReply

Barbara

Simply: NO. If you subscribe through Amazon, you do not get any of their new subscriber gifts…OR the continued good subscriber gifts.

Reply ButtonReply

Dawna

Allure doesn’t do that for all of their loyal subscribers. After 2 years subscribed? Not one thing! I noticed on MSA that people talked about it. I figured at some point…. but nope. Apparently they send some subscribers an annual gift and random gifts. So, after new subscribers started getting gifts, I started skipping boxes. When I call to skip, that’s the reason I give. I’ve gotten some of the worst allure boxes while new subscribers get the 1st batch and gifts. I’ve never gotten anything. So, why should I continue to be a loyal subscriber. Now, I’ve heard of more random gifts here and there…

I checked my Amazon account and it said the order date is August 17.

I’m hoping it will come sooner, but I guess we’ll see.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

The date you sign up for Amazon will be date you are billed every month so if you want box sooner cancel and resubscribe sooner in month.

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

That makes sense.

At this point, I’ll probably stay with that date.

The only reason I went through Amazon was because Allure said my card was expiring on 8/1 and if I couldn’t get them a new number by 7/15 I was SOL.

The card’s actually good until 8/31, but I should be getting a new one in a week or so. I will probably refresh Allure when I activate, but keep Amazon until I’m sure Allure’s up to speed. It may mean 2 boxes in either September or October, but that’s okay.

I just wish the Allure site would show order dates like it used to. And send email when it ships LIKE THEY USED TO.

Tomorrow Smith

Liz, do you know what size the Sunday Riley is for the new subscriber gift?

Yolanda

It says it’s 8 ml

Amazon has now removed the reference to the July box. Past box images are now showing. I ordered August! I love ❤️ full sized eye cream in a $15 box! I’m also excited about the water cream and makeup eraser (it’s a great item to place in a gift basket).

Do resubscriptions receive the new subscriber bonus gift?

Reply ButtonReply

sevengrace

I have de-subbed and then re-subbed through Amazon and did not receive a gift. Only the first time I signed up did I receive one.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

You won’t receive the new member gift through Amazon.

Kristin

I have the same question!

Reply ButtonReply

DawnS

Just caved and ordered, first box I have liked in several from Allure so fingers crossed I actually get the Sunday Riley!

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

Damn…I was going to skip all the fuss and order through Amazon this time and Allure just had to put out the SR retinol as the subscriber gift.🙆 I’ve been trying to swap for it for months now, guess I’ll be signing back up through Allure. Lol

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

Amazon still shows July box anyway. Hope that changes soon I only order with Amazon.

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

I checked my Allure sub on Amazon and they’re showing the order date for the August box is the 17th.

I’m not sure if that’s because it’s the date I signed up on, but we’ll see, I guess.

spoon baby

glad to be skipping this box. I hate every single product I’ve tried from laritzy, as well as amorepacific and their seemingly endless subsidiary brands – for me their formulas are always overfragranced and underperforming. After the circus that was the mini makeup eraser cloths, i’ve got no fomo on that, or on the mystery lip product. I just have too many products and certainly don’t need to be adding any of these, plus i rarely use masks. didn’t mean to rain on anyone’s parade if you like this box, just my OPINION

Reply ButtonReply

Sammee

Not the most exciting box ever but I’m not mad about it. I’ll probably use everything except the water cream. That’s if I get a lip color I can use.

Reply ButtonReply

Dawna

The skincare items are the only reason I’m not skipping again.

Reply ButtonReply

Nancyisshopping

Liz, the link to the Sunday Riley with sign up is not working.

Reply ButtonReply

Barbara

August looks to be a great value and incredibly practical (for me). l not only use every single item, but I actually really needed another one of those eraser cloths. The CARGO lippie looks to be a great color for my summer glow (watch I get a bright red or weird color), the eye cream is always needed, the face cream is something I use many times a day, the ERNO LASZLO eye masks will be added to my constantly diminishing collection, I can always use another mascara (did I just say that?) and as for that highlighter….well…umm…I think I must have a friend who can use it if I can’t think of another use other than the face.

All in all, a great box. I’m a happy girl😍

Sil

Am I the only one who is always torn about this box? Their curation of products can be really great but their shipment/fulfillment and their customer service is awful!

Reply ButtonReply

Kris

You most certainly are not alone….I have the same mixed feelings about this box!

Reply ButtonReply

Nat

Easy pass. Not impressed. And lipstick says color may very. Can’t take the chance of getting another color that doesn’t work for me

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

Amazon is still selling July. Check the box description before ordering

Reply ButtonReply

Barbara

Jacki: I believe the box they’re selling should be the August box, not July. I just checked my sub and this is what they say: “Allure Beauty Box – Luxury Beauty and Make Up Subscription Box – AUGUST – 2019 Box
Sold by: Conde Nast Subscription Boxes $15.00”:

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

Just ordered. I hope I get August. Maybe I should call Allure and ask.

Reply ButtonReply

Jacki

I’m sure buying from Allure directly is fine. If you order through Amazon, the July box is still being sold. Amazon does have a one-click order cancellation in case you ordered the wrong box there

Jenn

I’m really excited for August.. aside from their dodgy customer service, their boxes are always worth the $15, at least to me!!
