Please, please, please my beloved sub box world…NO MORE WATER BOTTLES! Regular sub box subscribers already have plenty and if not you can buy them at reasonable prices pretty much EVERYWHERE. I’ve been eyeing this sub for a while and the free gift makes it more tempting but this first spoiler is a real turn off no matter what it’s made of. Now all they need is a scarf and a travel candle and some hand cream to really round it out. 😄

A water bottle doesn’t exactly scream “revelry!” to me.

Their website says made of Tritan, glass like clarity, no BPA.

Not glass. Their website says made of Tritan, glass like clarity, no BPA.

Are those bottles made of plastic?

I wondered the same thing, so I checked on the website. It says things like “glass -like clarity “and “BPA free “which translates to me as plastic. Bummer. Just because they haven’t discovered the next BPA like horrible thing in this version of plastic ,doesn’t mean that plastic is what I want to drink out of. Too bad.

But ! I also want to say that I love this sub! I was surprised/disappointed to see the plastic water bottle , but I usually love almost everything they send and it’s just one item.

Tiffany

The Estiva website says it is made of a certain type of BPA free, high temperature tolerant plastic called Tritan.

Tritan has been found to leach synthetic estrogens, worse than BPA. The manufacturers of this copolyester keep suing and badmouthing laboratory scientists who investigate it. Just FYI.

amber

According to their website’s product information, yes, they are made from Tritan plastic.
