Birchbox was one of the very first beauty subscription boxes—we’ve been reviewing it since 2012! Each month, subscribers get a new mix of 5 beauty samples, such as makeup, skincare, haircare, and fragrance items. Birchbox lets you choose whether you’d like a box of items picked just for you (incl... read more.

I am a frequent flip-flopper for Birchbox and I like this one.

I hope this is one of a few curated box choices or a random assortment. Bc, I’m not feeling this box. I’ve received both hair products in past boxes. Currently own the Don’t blow it. And, I don’t need the SPF bc I bought Birchbox’s summer bag LE. And, received a full-size spf in their late Jan. LE. So, I’m set. However, wouldn5 mind seeing the other 3 items in a curated box with 3 different items. And, I’m not sure/ ready to gamble on going with a non- curated box choice. Lol

I hope this box is either one of a few choices or a random assortment. Because, I’m not feeling this box. But, it’s because I’ve received both hair products in the past. I currently have BB don’t blow it. And, I don’t need the Spf bc I bought BB’s Limited Edition summer bag. So, I’m set. However, wouldn’t mind receiving the other 3 products. And, lastly not ready to gamble on receiving a non- curated box. Lol

For everyone saying they’re bummed this isn’t a drawer box. This could still turnout to be one. Because, last month SA spoilers pre- the Birchbox choice reveal didn’t say anything about June’s being a drawer box. And, if you look at that spoiler you can’t tell it was a drawer box. P So, fingers crossed that we find out it’s a drawer box the day BB reveals sample choice.

i hope this is one of a few curated box options for July or a random assortment. Because, it was super cool to find out the June box spoiler was one curated box out of 5 choices. So, hoping for the same this month.. because, I’m not feeling this box. Tried both hair products. Currently have the don’t blow it bc of their recent hair kit. I don’t need a spf because I bought their summer bag. However, wouldn’t mind getting the Kiehl’s even though it’s a repeat. And, I’d like the MAC lip and benefit brow. So, if those 3 ended up in the same curated box with 3 other items I’d choose it then. Fingers crossed!

So far, I haven’t been very impressed by their “changes”. I’m giving them a few more months to see where they’re going, but they need to go someplace.
At $10 a month, they used to be in competition with the Ipsy Glam Bag (more makeup) and Allure (who seems to also be going thru an identity crisis). At the $13 to $15 range, they’ve put themselves in closer competition with slightly higher priced boxes where for just a few $$$ more you can get FULL sized products.

Tried it, wouldn’t mind trying it, probably too pale, probably too dark, tried it, tried it. LOL.
But I am an Ace (so it’s only $10), and I looooooooove all things fruit themed, so as long as my box isn’t crushed, I think I will be happy.

I’m interested in trying both of those hair products.
Definitely not interested in anything from the mlm company BeautyCounter.

Whats mlm? What don’t you like about BeautyCounter? Just wondering since someone recommended it to me as a safe skincare line during pregnancy/breast feeding. Thank you!

I made the mistake of being surprised this month and it was a total bust! These spoilers are not doing for me either.

Love the contents but I have many subscriptions & won’t add Birchbox unless they go to the drawer box full time. Having a different sort of box would add that little bit of special that I need to add another subscription.

Back to the regular boxes 🙁 I liked the pull out one better.

How can you tell it’s not a pull out box? That was a really nice surprise!

I agree. The pull-out box this month is so much more useful than the standard one.

huh. how… familiar looking. I wonder if we get a bunch of choices again this month?

That’s what I really need to know. Specifically, will they be offering one or more curated boxes since I always like them WAY better in terms of value (full size(s), and items I’ve never tried. I also really loved the pull-out box style. When they increased the price by 50% they promised to make it worth it. In my opinion I feel that they’ve done that the last two months. I’ll be incredibly disappointed if that was one if those Boxy-style bait and switches to keep customers and attract new ones, and now they’ll go back to tiny, repetitive surprise samples. On the one hand they’ve pretty much always offered at least one curated box every month, although I liked the recent ones much better. What concerns me is I’m pretty sure they spoil the curated box(es) at the same time they release the individual item choices. That worries me.
My 3 month sub ended last month. I was seriously considering renewing, but only if the curated box or boxes will be the norm from now on. Especially if they offer at least 2 curated options AND keep the pull out drawer type of box. If they do those things they are definitely delivering on their promise to back the price increase worthwhile. The only other suggestion would be to have more curated boxes in their inventory. It’s often pretty obvious which box is going to be super popular. That means if you can’t drop what you’re doing the minute choice opens, it will usually be sold out.

I would love the Beauty Counter Sunscreen!

Me too! And the box is pretty. I’ve received three of these items before, but wouldn’t mind a nail polish instead, hint, hint…

Everything looks good. Some repeats, but honestly I wouldn’t mind to get that R+Co conditioner again.
