Ipsy Reveals Are Up for the May 2019 Glam Bag!

I really wish the Bobbi Brown lipsticks would have been available for add-ons….I got the lip balm instead.

Really like all the picks & monthly bag! Gbp was a miss for me.

For all those who got IT concealer. That’s definitely a leftover product. Light shade was avail last mont in some bags & as an addon but sold out quickly, ipsy must have a lot of leftovers… I would’ve been upset if I was receiving it as well 🙁

I am pretty peeved with Ipsy right now. I am caucasian, my skin tone on my profile has been listed at “light” for 3 years. They are sending me the IT bye bye under eye in “warm deep,” which is obviously going to be unusable. I emailed ipsy care and they told me to blend it to make it work. For me, their personalization has been off since I started filling out the “Improve Glam Bag Products” section of my profile each month and since they started with the pre-printed cards. What has everyone else’s experience been with this?

Hope I get another shot at those Bobbi Brown lipsticks, they are gorgeous!

Only my second bag with Ipsy but I’ve been pretty satisfied so far. They keep getting me with those Add-Ons though! Always hard to narrow it down to just three! 💸

I’m getting my first ever Ipsy bag this month and I’m stoked! I’m getting:

Every month I think it can’t get any worse and then it does. I won’t use a single thing they are sending this month and it does absolutely no good to fill out the profile or do the reviews. It’s like they just grab a bunch of random stuff and throw in there and it is the same kind of stuff every month in the same ugly shades. Why can’t they ever send nice dark eye shadows instead of rosy sparkly ones that nobody I know will touch?

I have been getting nothing but awesome bags from Ipsy so far this year! So, this month being a bit of a dud for me is fine. It’s like once in awhile, Ipsy throws together a “here! Just try something different for a change! Please?!!!!” Glambag. I have noticed that this happens about 2-3 months a year. The items I’m getting are not duds at all and a younger me would have been ecstatic! I will probably only use one item but I did add on 3 sample items. I’m loving that option!

I’m getting:
-Ofra Versailles lip (don’t like the color, hoping it’s very sheer at least. I keep getting tannish lip stuff which I would NEVER use, though almost any other shade is ok with me)
-Pixi H20: ok, I’m sure it will be good but not exciting
-SLMISSGLAM brush: I rarely wear eyeshadow but the brush is adorable and I’ll give my other to my daughter and keep this one
-Pretty Woman polish in platinum: Yay! Something I might have chosen. I hated the color they sent last month. I put any option but pastel for nail polish and they sent me pastel. Yuck
-Charcoal nose mask: I am old. I don’t have acne. I don’t need these at all so whatever. I’ll guess I’ll let my kids have them

ADDED ON:
–Buxom in Clair: Love lip stuff and hope this isn’t too pink but love plumping stuff. Excited to try
–Hemp lip balm: I wish I had researched this better. It has a bunch of mineral oil etc but you can never have too many lip balms, esp in the summer in New Mexico
–SR Good Genes: PSYCHED on this one

I am getting the exact same products in my bag as the one you shared in the post.

I cancelled my regular glam bag after the reveals today. I think they’re purposely not giving me what I would want in my bag so I’ll buy it as an add on, so I might as well just cancel the regular bag and do add ons.

I’m not super thrilled with my last 2 ipsy boxes

I got:
1) the bad gal mascara: not super thrilled, been getting a lot of mascaras even though I checked off no on the survey. I guess it’s always nice to have backup mascaras since they dry fast
2)bellapiere powder: Eh I guess this will be good for travel purposes
3) Lord and Berry lip crayon: This color looks too bright for me, I’ll likely give this away
4) R+CO Shine lotion: I do like getting products I would never think of buying in my ipsy bag, I’ll try this one out I am always looking for ways to have better hair
5) Biorace hydrating masks: I like masks I got them in my last bag. I always use them.

overall not super thrilled with this bag or my last one, I’m just glad I didn’t get another brush this time

Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with my May bag, much better than the disastrous April bag (even the bag itself was broken!).

This month, I got:

Buxom lip gloss: this wasn’t a preview item, and was a nice surprise. I like this brand, and the medium pink color looks very wearable.

Neogen clay cleanser: looks interesting, and I think the clay will help as my skin gets oily with the warmer weather.

Beauty Crop bronzer: this should be okay as long as the color isn’t too dark.

La Chatelaine hand cream: shrug. It’s a small 1/2 oz hand cream. It’ll go in handbag and come in handy, I’m sure.

Bellepierre powder: this is the only item I am disappointed with. This brand, I feel, it’s really crappy in terms of quality. I probably won’t even pass it off to my friends.

since this is the first month I have both the regular bag and the plus bag, I resisted adding on any additional items 😝

My bag is an absolute joke, I’m usually pretty cool with my bags being bad but I might be done.

Laboratories Filorga Time filler absolute correction wrinkle cream. I don’t have wrinkles… I guess I’ll hand it off to my mom.

Oryza nude shimmer & contour eyeshadow

Marc Anthony hydrating curl cream… I don’t have curly hair >:(

It cosmetics bye bye under eye in 42.5 warm deep. This is what really gets me. I have fair skin it’s usually the lightest color in a brands range. I’m so confused as to why they’d send me this when my profile says fair. Wtf?

Estate cosmetics lip icing in drip. This is the only thing I might use.

Has anyone else ever been given a color that’s not even close to their skin tone? I understand they don’t follow profiles completely but this bag has two products I can’t even TRY to use. 🙁 What a waste of $10.

NOT IMPRESSED WITH MY $30 BAG.. My 3x $3 add on’s are worth more than my whole bag. It seems like since they updated our profiles, everyone’s bags are hit and miss. Usually my Ipsy is dead on winners, $60+ and this month is like, what the EF – this is all “NO’s” on my profile.. Also, I haven’t been impressed that they don’t give us any info when adding things, so we have no idea what size we’re buying. Only to find out later its a $3-4 sample we paid $3 for.. WOW thanks Ipsy..

My bag:
-Pixi skincare (brand I HATE and they know it) 12 ml $7 sample
-BellaPierre finishing powder (also a brand and product on my “don’t send it”) 6 g but price unknown bc they don’t list the size on their site and its the only place it’s sold. My guess is $5..
-Biorace sheet mask x 2 – (sheet masks are in my “sometimes”) $4 each and they don’t sell them anywhere.. Lovely.
-BareMinerals Spray – (in my “sometimes”) $2.80 sample SMH…
-SL MissGlam brush – this is the only product in my bag that is a “fav”. Happy to get that at least even though its only $6-7 brush.. (from the 5 pc eye set that is $40)

I feel a little let down by my bag. I did get 1/3 of the items I said “yes” to in Improve Glam Bag.

– ORYZA shadows (I HATE the colors!)
– Farah brush (I usually don’t mind brushes, but ipsy’s been sending this brand a lot, & every single time, they feel & look so cheap)
– Estate lip gloss (actually I’m stoked about this… love their highlighters)
– Alterna caviar hair stuff (I can’t deal with caviar as an ingredient. No, thx. Also, I’ve had this sample before in other boxes.)

I’d love to swap for the Pretty Woman Royal Fantasy nail polish & the INMO eye shadow.

I do have a question – when I first clicked to view my Glam Bag, it had the same products, except it showed I was getting the OFRA lipstick in the color Versailles and the Naked Cosmetics Loose Pigment in Naturally Nude #02. These are the colors it shows on the Facebook Post and also the colors it shows if I click on a different item in my glam bag and scroll down to the bottom of the screen to where it says “Also in your Glam Bag”. However on the main Glam Bag page, it has the colors listed in my list above. Does this happen to anyone else, where the color options are different? I would much prefer the colors shown on the Facebook sneak peek, but I have a feeling I will get what is shown on the main page as this also happened to me last month with a nail polish showing two different colors depending on where I looked. I wonder if I emailed them with screen shots if they could ensure one one of the color options.

Ipsy has been doing a phenomenal job with my Glam Bags, I love it!, and if my Glam Bag Plus isn’t better next month I’m dropping it.

Hallelujah Ipsy finally gave me an eyeshadow shade that’s not bronze! I’m getting the Estate shadow in green, Goldfaden moisturizer, rose gold blush brush, Buxom lip, and Pretty Woman nail polish in Platinum. A well rounded bag.
