The Summer 2019 CAUSEBOX is available for pre-order now! FYI - CAUSEBOX typically releases a product spoiler within about a week of the box announcement.

CAUSEBOX is a quarterly subscription box that features brands and items dedicated to doing good all over the world. Many featured brands donate a portion of proceeds to charities and/or may employ local artisans, use ethically-sourced goods, etc.

Use coupon code 10WELCOME to save $10 off your subscription! (Regularly $54.95 a season.)

Here's a look at the featured artist for the Summer box:

As part of our Artist Residency Program, we flew Antra in from Australia and road-tripped with her across Southern California from desert to summit - we wanted to understand the woman behind the art.

Wow! Based on the comments, I may be the only person who loves their artist-in-residence program! Don’t get me wrong, I like spoilers as much as the next girl but I always appreciate the care Causebox gives in profiling their artists and releasing their spoilers. It feels very deliberate and not rushed. Causebox is a great compliment to my other annual sub.

Betcha that hat in the first pic is one of the spoilers. Hope not, but wouldn’t surprise me…

I’m excited about the upcoming Causebox! I’m use to the wait for spoilers, but generally it’s worth the wait.

My only issue with Causebox is that they ship the pretty boxes without any kind of covering. So by the time I get them they look and feel filthy and have to throw them out.
Causebox, if you’re listening, I’d gladly pay a couple more $ to have it shipped in a poly envelope or something!

Kay

They’re reversible – if you fold them inside out they’re good as new!

The mail carrier wrote my house address number on the side of the last one I got. 🙁

Pusheen shrink wraps their cute cat boxes so they look pretty good up arrival. Maybe causebox thinks extra packaging is environmentally unfriendly? But if that’s the case, why have a pretty box with a high gloss picture? If the box is nice, we are less likely to toss leaving less of a carbon footprint.

It seems most of you missed where it says that Causebox normally releases the spoilers a week after announcing the box. It’s right under the “Hello Summer” pic. Patience is a great virtue to have. I understand you’re all excited to know what’s in the box, but some of your comments are just not nice. I appreciate the fact that they help artists and enjoy the artwork.

Yes! Thank you for not feeding into the negativity, it’s not going to kill anyone to wait a little longer, and there’s no reason that causebox would need to release their items at the same time as FFF or others

Amanda

Thank you Lori!

Why does everyone have their panties in a twist? Causebox is an entirely different company from other boxes. They have their own time line, not associated with what FFF or other boxes do. Calm. Down. The art review is a count down to spoilers starting next week.
Patience won’t hurt anyone, lol. Promise!😉

This is why I love causebox and still feel like it’s different from a lot of the others! They focus on the experience, not just a great deal on a box full of stuff. I think the artist residencies are awesome!

Right? I appreciate that they are trying to create relationships with their artists!

This box is cute I Like the blue one but more concerned what is inside the box No more towels, brushes, or water bottles

Hmmm. Kind of mixed on the whole box design thing. Yes, it’s on brand for Causebox to spend money supporting a female artist. On the other hand, it’s a lot of money and waaaay too much focus on some cardboard that many of us drop straight in the recycling bin. On balance I’d rather have another item or just drop the price a few bucks.

Haven’t seen any spoilers out of Breo either.

I was really hoping that Causebox big countdown to a summer reveal wouldn’t just be for box design but here we are… again. I’m honestly curious if there are a large group of Causebox subscribers waiting with delirious anticipation to see the new box design. Do people actually sub because the box itself is cute? Because based on MSA comments it sounds like people would like to see an actual spoiler. And by midMay a lot of people’s sub box money is likely already destined for another box that has shared some actual spoilers.

Here we go with Causebox acting as if the box art is a spoiler. *Spoiler Alert:* Its not.

Spoiler: our box looks like Birchbox’s latest box design, except our people are on floaties

CauseBox and Happy Rebel are driving me nuts!
I need spoilers people!

And like someone else said, please no brushes, towels, sunglasses, or water bottles. Feel free to do another kimono though. I’m still sad that I missed out on those.

It seems like so much of their time and money is wasted on promoting and courting the box artist when it should be spent on the products INSIDE the box! You know, that people are spending their hard earned money on?? 🤔🎁 I mean it’s a pretty box but it’s still just a box! 🕵️📦

The Soring box was horrible.

Lorina

If there is one pair of sunglasses, a hairbrush, or a TOWEL in this box, it’s adios, Causebox. You wait this long after all the other players and it had better be worth the wait!

Andrea

I really do not care much about the outside of the box. I care much more about what is in the box.
I feel like it was a huge waste of time and money to fly someone in from Australia, rent this old van, hire a film crew, and take a road trip.
All I want is a spoiler of something that is actually in the box. I hope it is amazing after all this effort to decorate a box.

The artwork on the outside of the box doesn’t add a lot of personal value for me, either. I do think that sponsoring a female artist in residency is on brand and on mission for Causebox, though.

Lorina

As a person who knows a lot of artists, I think she probably would have preferred to receive the money spent making the video instead of to having to waste time on all this PR work. I hope she at least was able to use it as a free trip home to see her family.

Reply ButtonReply

Amber

So an artist would prefer to just have someone give them money instead of giving their work exposure? I’m sure she got paid for this as well, but what’s the point if nobody ever sees your art?

Amy

I 100% agree!!

Reply ButtonReply

amber

An artist residency isn’t for you. It’s for the artist. I’m sure she would disagree that it is a huge waste of money, and I’m sure she’s excited to have her artwork being displayed on a large scale.

Reply ButtonReply

Crystal

Amber-I agree! The box is giving her a chance to display her art. People seem a little self-absorbed at times. Where would the world be without art?

DeeCee

Oh come on…, spoilers please 😊

Reply ButtonReply

Christy

Not helpful, Causebox. We want to know what’s in it – I’m not paying $55 for macrame plant hangers.

Reply ButtonReply

Rachael

I agree! They’re the worst with spoilers
