The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review

The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Information Sheet Top

Here is the info sheet for the items included.

The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Purlisse Perfect Glow BB Cream Front

Purlisse Perfect Glow BB Cream, 0.34 oz – Estimated Value $8.50 (buy the full-size version for $35)

I am a big fan of BB creams. Here in South Louisiana, anything heavier than light-medium coverage is going to sweat right off my face thanks to our lovely humidity. I thought this did a good job of evening out my complexion and giving a subtle glow, and it didn’t feel greasy on my skin. I would like to get on my soapbox for a second and say that even though this has SPF 30 in it, you still need to be layering a sunscreen underneath for actual protection – the amount of BB cream you would need to use to get the full SPF protection would be way more than you actually would want to wear. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Grande Cosmetics GrandeMASCARA Front

Grande Cosmetics GrandeMASCARA, 0.13 oz – Estimated Value $15.48 (buy the full-size version for $25)

I don’t know how else to say it: this mascara was awful for me. It clumped like crazy on my lashes, and I definitely didn’t get the “extreme volume” promised in the description.

The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Selfie After Purliise BB Cream and the Grande mascara Front

Here I am wearing the Purliise BB Cream and the Grande mascara. If you zoom in (please don’t) you can see that my lashes are clump city. The lipstick I am wearing is Bellapierre in Envy from my Naturisimo Blooming Gorgeous Discovery Box (review coming soon!).

The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Neostrata Repair Exfoliating Wash Front

Neostrata Repair Exfoliating Wash, 1.3 oz – Estimated Value $12.38 (buy the full-size version for $40)

This exfoliating cleanser provides chemical exfoliation thanks to maltobionic acid (a PHA), but it also has a soothing botanical blend thanks to ingredients like cucumber, chamomile, aloe, rosemary, and rose. This should be a good chemical exfoliant for sensitive skin, and the sample is generous enough to find out if you really like it before committing to the full-size.

The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Leonor Greyl Bamboo Shampoo Front

Leonor Greyl Bamboo Shampoo, 1.7 oz – Retail Value $19

This is a pricey French haircare brand I have never tried before, and this nourishing shampoo is designed for long, dry, and thick hair – check, check, and check! I can see why this is such a luxe brand; this is one of the better shampoos I have tried on my curls, and while I don’t see myself paying for the full-size I will be hoping this brand pops up in more beauty subscription boxes.

The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Priori LCA fx130 Eye Serum Box FrontThe Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Priori LCA fx130 Eye Serum Front

Priori LCA fx130 Eye Serum, Full-Size! Retail Value $69

Oh, HELLO expensive eye serum worth more than double the cost of this box. I was a bit dumbfounded when I saw the price of this eye serum because the packaging is a bit unassuming for a $70 eye cream. This has an adaptive formula that is designed to give your delicate eye skin the support it needs for whatever your skincare concerns are, and the ingredients list includes things like caffeine and their proprietary blend of lactic acid and vitamins A, C, and E to promote cell turnover, hydration, and antioxidant protection. This has a hybrid balm-gel texture that didn’t feel greasy or heavy around my eyes, and I use this in my nighttime routine to try and prevent any signs of aging around my eyes.

The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm FrontThe Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm Open Top

Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm, 0.5 oz – Estimated Value $8.52 (buy the full-size version for $60)

I have tried this cleansing balm before, and while it is nice I think there are more affordable options out there. That being said, using this is definitely a luxe experience that melts away any makeup on my skin and leaves it feeling soft and supple.

The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Orlane B21 Extraordinaire Youth Reset Box FrontThe Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Orlane B21 Extraordinaire Youth Reset FrontThe Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Orlane B21 Extraordinaire Youth Reset Open Top

Orlane B21 Extraordinaire Youth Reset, 0.25 oz – Estimated Value $62.50 (buy the 1 oz version for $250)

I love subscription boxes – I have been slathering on a serum worth $62.50 without any idea just how much this bad boy costs. This is made with 21 amino acids designed to help rebuild your skin and fight the signs of aging, and while in the jar it looks like a lightweight moisturizer, I have been using it as a serum. Using it leaves my skin soft and smooth so I will enjoy this sample while I have it.

The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Jurlique Rose Hand Cream Box FrontThe Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - Jurlique Rose Hand Cream Front

Jurlique Rose Hand Cream, 0.5 oz – Estimated Value $7.41 (buy the 1.35 oz version for $20)

I love Jurlique, and my skin loves their products. This hand cream smells like a bouquet of fresh roses, and it is nourishing to my skin without leaving them feeling greasy.

The Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - SiO Beauty SiO BrowLift 1 TopThe Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - SiO Beauty SiO BrowLift 2 TopThe Beauty Report Stop The Clock Box Review - SiO Beauty SiO BrowLift 3 Top

SiO Beauty SiO BrowLift – Retail Value $29.95

These appear frequently in boxes produced by The Beauty Report, and they are the one product I cannot get behind. To use you would apply them at night and wear it while you sleep, but you can’t apply any serums or lotions because then it won’t adhere. I love my skincare routine too much to go without it in its entirety for a night, but your mileage may vary with these patches that are designed to reduce wrinkles and can be re-used up to fifteen times.

The Verdict: I was so excited to see that New Beauty came out with these limited edition boxes – I have really loved every single box they have produced! The Stop The Clock box wasn’t my favorite of the bunch (more so because anti-aging isn’t a big concern of mine, rather than the quality of the items sent), but you can’t deny this has an incredible value. Value-wise, I calculated a total value of $232.74 for everything, which absolutely blows the $24.95 cost of the box out of the water.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you sign up today? Yes, as of publication, all three boxes New Beauty recently launched are available for purchase. Learn more about each box here!

  1. I love the emma hardie moringa balm, but I am out and it is too $ to purchase again. I disagree that there are not products that will reverse aging signs just a smidge. That Skinceuticals c e ferulic. The stuff that smells like ham, is amazing. It has helped improve fine lines an unevenness. The Sunday Riley A and the much cheaper Ordinary retinol went to work even before the ham stuff. When I was a teenager, Noxema, Ponds and Clearasil were “skin care”… I tanned with cooking oil when we were out of Coppertone. Sunscreen was a factor 8. And K-Beauty was not even a thought… My daughter is 18. I preached to her weekly to please embrace my enormous and ever-growing stash of products. I should be saving for a Quicklift, but I am addicted to subs.

    • What a mess of bad grammar I just posted. Waiting for the daughter’s car inspection… a month late. I wish I had extra funds for this box. It has some great items I haven’t tried. I agree about the forehead strips. I have too many steps to replace them with just one all night.

  2. Great review Jessica! I love your PSA on sunscreen 👍. I layer 3 SPF products (The wonderful TIZO sunscreen from the Spring Report box, a primer or BB and setting powder. Have you tried Yadah’s cleansing balm from Facetory Luxe? I’ve been loving that one too and it’s only $20!

    • Yadah has replaced my other more expensive cleansing balm. I love it

    • Thank you! Just ordered the Facetory Best of Lux Plus box that includes a full size Yadah’s cleansing balm for $28 using MSA20 code – excited!!! Been looking for a good cleansing balm and I’ve tried a yada product before and really liked it 🙂

  3. Went to buy it right away! Thank you!

  4. Great review. I got this box but have only used the hand cream and the eye cream so far. Going home today to slather that expensive youth cream

  5. I really loved this box, but I am older than you by a few years. I had to order a second one. I thought your lashes looked beautiful. I enjoy your reviews.

    • I thought Jessica’s lashes looked pretty decent too! I think this was my favorite box of the bunch as well. I don’t really have any major signs of aging yet, but I still love using anti-aging products as more of a preventative measure to keep things at bay.

    • Another vote here for how beautiful Jessica looked with that mascara.

The point about these anti-aging products is to PREVENT. There is really no “repair” once the damage is done, despite manufacturer claims. Slather them on, ladies!

I am definitely heading over there now to grab this awesome box. I also second the “meh” reaction to Sio silicon patches (I sweat in my sleep and they detach) and the “tinted SPF products are useless” chant. I’m very fair, and you can’t use them on your neck, chest, and arms because they will stain your shirt, so another (colorless) product must be used anyway.

      • Yes!!! I’ll be 40 this year, and fortunately I started early enough with using anti-aging products to prevent, not treat. 😉

        • Wow! To be 40 and have no signs of aging is awesome! You’re doing the right thing being dedicated to prevention. I wish I had gotten more serious about skincare sooner. I did start wearing sunscreen daily at age 16 but unfortunately I thought spf 15 applied once in the morning (other than when I was at the pool or outside for a lengthy period) was sufficient. I’m 43 now and looked pretty young up until about a year ago. It sort of came all at once. MAJOR hyperpigmentation and lots of fine lines on my forehead and around my eyes (especially when I smile) and 2 odd major creases on my left lower cheek. I’m guessing most of this is from driving in the sun for years and years without sufficient protection because it’s all significantly worse on my left side. I also got to see an image of my face that measured sun damage years ago and it was frightening. That’s when I realized how little my daily spf had done for me. I got my act together after that but it appears I missed most of my preventive window. I choose to believe some products can and will help at least a little bit. I can’t afford any surgical or other professional intervention so I will keep trying out products! Thank goodness sub boxes make it so much more affordable to try so many different things!

    • Jessica’s lashes do look incredible and I do love that brand as I received in another box. Finally got a change to try the Emma Hardie cleansing balm. I loved this box. Totally agree on the mask. I tried once and even though I am older and definitely use skin care products for that purpose. I find this mask trying. Even with no product on my forehead, this did not stay put, my oily t zone laughed and it rolled off my forehead … but great find. Thank you for review.

      • The British beauty box has a full size Emma Hardie cleansing balm (3.5 oz) and a full size Emma Hardie Midas touch (1.7 oz) and a lot more. If you check Instagram you’ll see the whole box or it’s on their site. It’s $65 and a quarterly box.

        • What British box? Thanks Anna May. Usually it is Luna and MSA who has me parting me with my coins…. lol

          • They have a website just google British beauty box. They also have the full contents on their site. You can use code THEWRINKEPHOBIC for 10% off too. Here’s what was in the box.

          • It’s also on my IG neversaynever_23

          • I posted a long comment with info and hopefully it will be approved soon.

          • Lol!!! I’ve heard about this box (it does look great!), but since I saw it mentioned somewhere else first, I didn’t feel right sharing it with MSA. 🙂 I try to only let MSA know about things I’ve stumbled upon that I haven’t seen anyone else mention anywhere else. 🙂

          • Luna,
I’ve sent the info for the box since finding it but it’s never been posted here. I don’t feel bad for sharing a good box. I found it on their Facebook.

          • That’s weird. I wonder why it hasn’t been posted about it. It seems like a great box that I think a lot of people would like. 🙂

Oh ya… I wouldn’t feel bad either. I would have totally shared about it if I had found it on their Facebook too (not that I would have seen it there anyways since I don’t have Facebook. lol). For me, I was just thinking in terms of when I see individuals mention new boxes in the comments on here or a forum I belong to. Like with the BBB box, I had first heard about it on a forum, and since it wasn’t a “discovery” I had made I chose not to share it with MSA like I do with other boxes I come across through browsing or through the obscene number of emails I get. Lol!!! My apologies if my comment sounded like I was implying something else. 🙂
