I would love to see the Miracle Box reviewed especially if it is reviewed while boxes are still available.

China is no longer product testing on animals

Yes, they are. The new methods don’t go into effect until next year. And even then, there’s no guarantee that all companies still won’t conduct animal testing. See info from the Humane Society International.

Also, this is just for post-market testing. For example, Tarte, L’oreal, and other companies that sell their finished products in China won’t have mandatory testing starting next year. However, China will still require any products that are made in China to be tested on animals.

I had it in my cart, info filled in, then saw $8.90 for shipping. I’m out….

Please google the website “The Cruelty-Free Kitty”. It will expose the ugly truth hiding behind the beauty industry’s lovely facade. I recommended this site in particular because it does a fabulous job of calling out the misleading companies. There are lots of other sites that will give you the unvarnished truth as well.
Taren, you’re quoting from a product’s own website. I would suggest doing a little research beyond what your brand says and what your brand REALLY does.

Punkykiki you should start your own website. As a fellow animal lover I always look for your posts because they are so incredibly helpful. You should definitely share your wealth of knowledge with fellow animal lovers! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction with the cruelty free kitty website!

Anyone here Fromm Buffalo, NY? There’s a local high end retail shop here called Tony Walker Co. they’ve been doing boxes similar to these for sale in their stores (huge events lines down the side of the building every time) and their proceeds all go to a local hospital.
My point is that Tony Walker makes the Bogavia, Pure and Fresh and Modern Luxuri brands, wondering if this is them trying for a bigger audience?

I am from Buffalo and have purchased similar boxes from Tony Walker. It seems like the Bogavia products that they put in the boxes are always within a month or 2 of their expiration date.

Would love to see thia reviewed… Love to get something when something is donated to a good cause! Especially half or more of the price!

The donation is very generous and I always feel like I want to support companies that ‘give back.’ There are enough things here that I think I will enjoy- like the mini candle and ridiculously expensive perfume- and find useful- like the vitamins and Konjac sponge- so I’m going to get it.

I love that $20 will be donated, but I’m not tempted enough to purchase the box.
When MSA asks if we want to see the box reviewed, I mean I guess it depends on when it it is reviewed. If it is reviewed while there is still time to buy it in case some items really stand out in the review, then sure. But reviewing a sold out box isn’t really that helpful, unless it means that we can list unwanted items on the swap site. I’m never quite sure what the advantages are to having a box reviewed. Absolutely I want regular sub boxes reviewed, but sometimes 1 time boxes and things like boxes that you can buy at Walmart I’m not sure about.

Ugh, so I decided that I *was* tempted enough. So if I want to swap anything, will the box have to be reviewed?

Luna
I don’t know if the swap rules have changed since earlier last year (back when the forum existed and I’d read a lot of the swap threads), but I know back then that if MSA posted about a box’s availability it was fair game to swap the items in it. For example, like the items in Sephora Favorites kits were swappable even though MSA never reviewed the boxes. Maybe those same rules still apply?

Kiehls Creme de Corps Sample – RV $11

Modern Luxuri Beauty Sponge Set – Rv $29.90
Also 1.7 oz of that creed perfume retails for $295. No idea how big the sample is, but dang.

I have 2 sample vials of creed perfumes, they smell awful, but my husband likes it. He has expensive taste so he can literally smell the expensiveness.

I adore your phrase! “Smell the expensiveness”. I’m adopting this phrase! Thank you!

I’d totally order this but can’t use my card until I get a new one and they don’t take PayPal.

Tempting, but 8.90 for shipping makes it less tempting!

I don’t see the Jane Iredale lipstick in the photo (squints hard).

It’s on a card so it must not be full size.

I have that same card and it contains 3 tiny blister samples of unusable colors (for me). I think it’s a bit of a stretch to count it as a product rather than a bonus freebie.
Julia
On a card? Argh! Forget it, then. Thank you, Zo, for explaining.
Melissa
Some items I’d love to try but sadly the inclusion of Kiehls & Caudalie – both animal testers – immediately make it a no go for me. Otherwise I’d be looking at the sizes & other specifics a bit more but would definitely be considering it.

All I did was Google the question and cut and paste directly. “We at Kiehl’s do not conduct animal testing on our products or ingredients, nor ask others to test on our behalf, … In 1989, our parent company, L’Oreal voluntarily stopped using animal testing for the evaluation of its entire range of finished products.”

If they sell in China – they do test on animals then. Do they sell their products in China?
