Huh. So… my box has shipped, but I still can’t see what was sent with it. It’s still telling me “We are prepping your box.”

Anyone else getting that?

Kc

Me too!

Laura

BOOOO the skincare box is sold out

I really REALLY wanted that.

Especially the cloud serum

Julia

If I can’t get the “skincare made easy” kit, I’ll go with the Jane Iredale. 🙂

Does anyone know which if any of the curated boxes will be available to purchase from the shop? Last month I was disappointed that the ‘good’ box wasn’t available for purchase.

Laura

Ooh, I want that skincare kit. What sold me is that cloud cream. I have some (a friend got me a nice kit for Christmas) and love it, so it would be great to have it in a travel size!

Hope there’s some left by the time I can select.

Box #1 looks more my speed than #2, but alas, more mascara. I have no use for the stuff.

I like the products in box#2, but I just purchased the Nail Refresh Kit and received the same nail polish. I’ve received the sample choice items in previous boxes and I have most of the products in Skincare Made Easy Kit.

Marissa

I’ve never been enticed to purchase Birchbox, but the design of the May box caught my eye! I was checking out their blog and all of the products from curated box 2 are from female-founded brands. AND as many of you were wondering, the Smith & Cult nail lacquer is FULL SIZE! 😀

Lauren

I’m choosing box #2. I’m super excited that Birchbox finally provided a box for makeup lovers. I’ve been writing in reviews since ‘15 that I really wanted them to make a makeup oriented curated box. At least once a year. Lol And, I’m so happy that they’re bringing nail polish back. I’ve been with them since ‘13. And, I’ve only received nail polish twice. My welcome box and the Nicole Richie curated box from summer ‘15. And, as far as I know BB hasn’t placed nail polish in anyone’s box since ‘15.

Reply ButtonReply

Lauren

Also, I can’t help but wonder why BB hasn’t had a celebrity made curated or limited edition box put together since ‘17. Reese Witherspoon was the last.

Reply ButtonReply

Julia

Maybe she was plenty. 🙂

Belle

Skincare made easy = 9 products!!!

I love box #2, but box #1 looks good too!!! Until… I counted 9 in the skincare box-lol.

BB should add this option:

Purchase an additional curated box to ship with your pick at a discounted price of $8. That’s half off! This offer only available to our loyal subscribers:-) Limited quantities available.

Emma

Well, I love that beauty protector spray and I will pick it as a sample choice almost every time they offer it, so I am picking it again.

I purchased the skin care made easy kit over the holidays… my favorite item is the bioderma micelle water, but I don’t need another kit. And I don’t wear nail polish, ever, so this Ace will also not be selecting that box. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Courtney

The kit as my first choice if not then box # 2. 😊

Reply ButtonReply

Belle

Wow! Nice boxes 😉 Box #2 for me! I’ve been happy with Ipst & Bb. So glad I cancelled bc.

Julia

Really happy with the changes Birchbox has made. But just to be me, here’s a sarcastic prediction:

In customizing the June box, we’ll get an option to swap out for the “A Toast to the Host” box.

Alicia

When can I resub so that I receive the May but NOT the April?

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

If you want to have the opportunity to do a sample pick for May’s box, I believe you’ll have to subscribe prior to the sample pick dates (25th for Aces & 26th for non-Aces); this means that you will be getting an April box (typically one they dub a “favorites” box or something along those lines). If you wait until after the sample pick dates or after May 1st you’ll get a May box, but again it’ll be a “favorites” box. Basically, whenever you sub (or re-sub) your first box is usually a “favorites” box. That’s been my experience anyways. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Correction… if I recall from when I’ve resubbed after the sample pick dates, but before the 1st of the following month, I still got a “favorites” box for that month (in this example, April), but for the following month I got a surprise sample box that included products that were spoiled for that month since I didn’t have the chance to do a sample pick.

Nikkim

On box #2 is that a full size Smith and cult and full size beauty blender? Wowwee! That box does look worth 15 to me and I never thought I’d say that

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I sure hope it’s a full size Smith & Cult! That’s what’s making me want that particular box! 😀

Reply ButtonReply

Dani G

Me too! In fact it’s the only reason I will be choosing that box. I’ve tried everything else in it and most products in the other boxes. I resubscribed to Birchbox for 3 months just to see if the changes would make it more appealing to me but so far it’s looking like the same products they’ve sent out again and again. Oh well, the Smith & Cult polish looks great! And maybe June will be more exciting.

Christin

Is that a full size beauty blender?

Reply ButtonReply

Delainey

Looks like a mini comparing it to the size of the other samples.

Reply ButtonReply

AmandaM

The beauty blender is the new blush-sized blender – “The size, which is smaller than the original beautyblender® but larger than the mini, delivers just the right amount of product”

Reply ButtonReply

Christin

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

Jules

Yes! They are seriously stepping it up! Glad I resubbed.

Reply ButtonReply

Paula

While the samples aren’t unique, the value looks great!

Anyone know if the beauty blender in curated box#2 is full size or a mini/sample?

Also, I cancelled in march…if I resub today will I hey May’s box?

Reply ButtonReply

Paula

Oh I see from other comments that I’d still get April. Anyone know if April’s curated #1 bix is still available? Also – are some of the older promo codes still valid?

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I’ll definitely be trying for curated box #2, but since I’ll be on vacation next week, I won’t be on my beauty/sub box game as much so I wouldn’t be surprised if I forget about early sample pick day until the evening which is when I’ll probably get a chance to scan my emails (and MSA 😉 ) and I end up missing out on it. My 2nd choice would be the skincare kit, then curated box #1, then the Kiehl’s Ultra Repair Cream as my sample pick. Well… at least I have plenty of nice options to choose from if I miss out on anything 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Oh! And I love the box too! Didn’t Ipsy do a similar bag like this a year or two ago?

Reply ButtonReply

Xtina

Yes they did where you could color in the bag with markers they sent too!
Have a wonderful vaca Luna (take me with you?!)
we will miss your comments lol 😘

Nat

This box is starting to look better than Allure

Stephanie

#2 is first for me!!!! A perfect curation.

Reply ButtonReply

Miranda

We can choose which curated box? I cant find where in my account to do so. Help!

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

Picks open on the 26th @ 4pm ET.

Reply ButtonReply

Miranda

Thank you ladies! (I’m a bb newb)

D

We can’t choose until next week.

Reply ButtonReply

Samantha

If I joined today would my first box be the April or May box?

Reply ButtonReply

Marion

I think I’m gonna let it ride & get 6 surprises. The curated boxes (& kit) just have too much stuff I wouldn’t use. While I wouldn’t mind receiving any of the sample choices, none of them excites me.

For those who were unhappy with the size of the Wander lip oil last month, know that this Jane Iredale is pretty teeny. I’ve found it difficult to apply in the past due to the size of the sample.

Reply ButtonReply

cindy

I got the curated box with the TPSY lip oil & it is fabulous. I’d never even heard of lip oils before, much less this brand, but I highly recommend it. Plus the sample size is darn close to full size. Surprise new product for me! Did anybody else get it in their April box?

Xtina

I hope you get good samples or ever new samples. I wouldn’t do the sample choice agian.
I did that for April and they sent me a foil packet conditor and shampoo (that I’ve already sampled before) along with eyeko eyeliner (agian I’ve sampled before) and the face rejuvenator in box one spoilers (ALSO SAMPLED BEFORE)
I reached out Bc my sample for the lip oil was completely empty. I mean just air. They didn’t have anymore to send and offered to put some points in to help shop for a full size one. (Those are $21 so I’d be spending $14 to finally “try it”)
They also said they will be sending out past samples so customers can do this (I’m copying now pasting)
“This month, we did include a few products that you may have sampled a while ago—we’re trying this out to let subscribers give products another chance. Anything you’ve received in the past should be a strong match for your profile, so if that is not the case please let me know.”
I then proceeded to reach out agian And that rep argued I only received one previous sample but if they scrolled back (the past 5 years not just this year I’ve been subed they would see I have gotten 4 of the 5 items in my box and another foil packet shouldn’t count as a sample.)
I made sure to take that out of my beauty profile (where it says as a bonus 6th sample would you like a foil packet) and I’ll only be doing curated boxes moving forward.
On top of that I told them I don’t like those samples hence why I’ve never bought them in the shop and I have made MANYYY purchases and they don’t fit my beauty profile 🙄
They didn’t respond and I’m not going to argue anymore over it. The points they added is only about 1/3 cost of a box- so I’ll still be putting in $10 of my own to get the curated April box to “fix” this situation so Im deciding not to. The reviews don’t count anymore for added points otherwise I would review etc.
Anyway if you’ve been a long time subscriber they really don’t care what they have sent you before so I’d make sure you really don’t want the curated box first or any other option before gambling to get foil packets and old stock samples 😡

Here’s lookin at you, curated box #1 ;]

It looks like there’s also a mascara in the first curated box.

I can’t imagine that the aces won’t scoop up all of the kits (9 samples?!) but maybe not when Oribe and Amika aaaaand Vasanti are in one box.

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda P

As an ACE and long time subscriber, I’ve already received almost every item in all their kits. You have a shot 🙂
