Thanks, Amber, for the new info about the Whole Foods 2019 Beauty Bags! In addition to the bags going on sale Friday, 3/29, there will be free bags available on Saturday, 3/30, at 5 locations:

  1. I wish they would sell this o line, because they dont have a whole foods anywhere around me..I dont think they have any in my state yet even 🙁

  2. Do we have a break down what is in each bag?

    • I’m wondering about this too! I can’t seem to find full spoilers online yet, even though the bags are out in a few days. Usually the spoilers are out by the Monday of that week?

  3. Hey just an f.y.i I called a store about holding a bag for me and they were so rude about it saying they had gotten an email about not holding bags. It sucks cuz I have to go there if I want one it being the closest at 40 miles from my house.

Almost tempted to drive the 2+ hours to la to get the free bag but idk if I wanna get up at the hour I would have to be there in order to make sure I’m there to be at least the 200th person in line.

Sucks cuz last year I was able to hold a bag at a different store. They were super nice about it too.

  4. Just to be clear- this free bag will be one of those that will be on sale on Friday?

It’s not a completely different bag? One of my Whole Foods is on the list and I want to make sure that I don’t have to fight the crowds on Saturday morning.

    • Yes, it’s supposed to be the same bags. 🙂

  5. Yes! My WF around the corner is on the list! Planning to buy a bag tomorrow on my way to work and will try for the free one on Sat as well. I loved last year’s bag!

    • You mean next week, right?

    • LOL! I hope you checked the dates more closely before venturing out!

      • Nah people see “free” and “bag of samples” and don’t bother reading anything else.

  6. Haha, no way am I going to try for a free bag. My local Whole Foods was great last year. I’ll just stick with them.

I absolutely LOVED last year’s bag. Hoping I can get the two bags this year.

  7. MSA, why is my comment not posting? It was not inappropriate…..

  8. Lots of Acure in there. Do you guys think it’s worth $20? Also, i might have trouble reading, but they’ll be for sale BEFORE they give them away on the 29th, correct?

    • Yes, that’s correct. They go on sale on the 29th, and the giveaway is on the 30th. 🙂

      • How much will these be when they go on sale on 3/29? Does anybody know yet? Thank you!

        • They will be $20.

    • Nope

  9. I’m in Austin where Whole Foods originated. I was shopping there since the beginning. You would think that Austin would be on the list. Oh well, they’ve gotten too big for their britches anyway.

    • I had the exact thought. No perks for loyalty. Oh well…

    • They aren’t an Austin company since AMAZON bought them out….. so yeah, too big for their britches Literally, as in they are technically part of the biggest brand in the world, lol. Highly doubt Jeff Bezos cares where they started!

  10. NYC is about a 30 min drive for me, but I am not a crowd person and I cannot deal with chaos and that’s why we stay home a lot lol, but I will go to the CT store and buy one for $20. Even if it was a $1000 beauty bag for free, I still wouldn’t go and do it.

    • I live in LA close to downtown, but the Playa Vista store is a 45-60 min drive for me, not even close to being a central LA location. Blah.

  11. Whaaat, no Boston? Grrr

    • Exactly what I was thinking, we always lose out!

  12. I should totally do it. Every month I collect all my empty bottles/jars, etc and add it to the post “Empty Bottles Finished in XX Month” and we provide feedback on every product used. My March bag is getting pretty full.
P.S. I won’t drive to LA, I just rather stop Friday morning and get one bag on my way to work.

    • Is this your blog? Would be interested to read.

      • Lori, this is not my blog. It runs by Russian girl and every month she posts her empty bottles. The readers post their pictures of empty bottles and they all comment how they like the products. The great thing about it that people who share their used bottles from all over the world and I learned about new products there.
I think Liz should do this for English speaking audience.

        • Just recently I was actually thinking how cool it would be for MSA reviewers to do an empties post for sub box products. It’d be nice to get a full review on a product rather than just first impressions. Then, like you mentioned, commenters can list what sub box products they finished, and give mini or long in-depth, reviews.

          • I would absolutely love it if MSA did an empties post for box items! The Sephora forum has one and it is one of my favorite posts!

          • It is a lot of fun. It would be awesome if we can upload picture of our empties. It actually gave me a good perspective how much product I go through in a month and it definitely slowed down my beauty shopping

          • Would love this, too!

          • There is a sub.r.eddit for this. I used to check it out, but I don’t have an account anymore so I don’t bother

          • Svetlana, I was posting my empties on a private forum for January until mid-February (I quit doing it because while I like the idea of it (and I love hearing about other peoples empties), I found after a while it started to feel like “work”, and honestly I really love the satisfying feeling of getting rid of the empty right away than holding onto it until I could write my review), and it was mind blowing to learn how much I use & it’s retail value! It made me think I should get my stash insured! Lol! Fortunately, I don’t pay full price for like 95% of my products, so the value of what I used far exceeds what I actually paid for them (plus some are gifted to me). I don’t feel like I overuse products either, but quantifying it made me think, “how do I still have the inventory that I do??!!”

            oh wait… I know. 😉

          • Luna, I cannot answer on your last post. Yes, it takes time to organize it, take a picture and then write the review. Before, I was throwing everything away, but after I start collecting it for a month, it was mind opening how much I use vs. how much I received. It made me realize I need to slow down on receiving end.

          • I would love an empties post!!! I can never seem to finish anything before moving on to something new. I watch Caroline Hiron’s utube videos on “empties” and they’re very entertaining.

          • I would also like a post of what they use in a day or week or how long it took to finish. I saw people talking about panning lip gloss in two weeks. I never really know how much of a product I am supposed to use and if my routine is too much or not enough. Would be fun to see how people layer items. Still trying to work in the Sunday Riley turmeric oil.

  13. What a fantastic deal… That won’t apply to me. 🙁

Good luck to people who can get it! Enjoy your bag!!!

  14. I cannot even imagine the level of chaos that will be happening in those 5 locations. No thank you.

    • I’m probably going to be in line at the Whole Foods next to Amazon HQ at 6:30 AM… I’m actually kind of relieved that it won’t be happening there, also.

      • That’s funny you say that cause I was thinking the same thing! If the free bags were happening at any of the Whole Foods near me, I would be having quite the dilemma right now… buy it Friday to ensure I get it, or wait and take my chances Saturday morning. At least I won’t have to worry about that!

        • Or do both, and get two bags!

          • Oh, I know! Fortunately, I have two Whole Foods within 10 minutes of each other, and I was planning on visiting both to get both bags 😀
