  1. Hard for me to pass but both foundations are for oily skin and they don’t carry my shade. They skip over mine in these 2 foundations oh well

  2. Its active! But I realized, I still have the foundation from the last time I did it….and the blush. Then I’m getting the eyeliner for $5 from FFF….and I have the big pro glow pallette, and they’re offering the small one, so it’s not worth it this time ….lol

  3. I’ve only done this once and by the time I finally got my box, it was all wrong, somebody’s else picks with my packing slip. Looking forward to trying it again though.

  4. I don’t need it but I certainly want it. I’ve done it twice and it’s fun to pick out what item you want from each category. As I recall, one time they sold out fast of some items but then restocked later in the day. It’s definitely a good way to try out their various formulas of concealer, foundation, etc. and their bags and brushes are always nice.

  5. If they would let you include two, even just 1 full size skincare item I’d be all over this. I Know I wouldn’t use the foundation so I’d choose it in a family members color and gift it for Christmas along with everything else. I don’t wear makeup, when I do it’s minimal, Tarte doesn’t really Have a whole lot of skincare BUT! I’ve been Dying to try their Knockout tingling treatment paired with the H2O moisturizer! It doesn’t come in a travel size, and after all the acne products I’ve tried, over the years, I’ve finally learned to sample things for a While before I purchase full size. I search for it in bundles and boxes, even just samples of it, so I can see if it’s worth it or if I need to go a different direction. But really this is a great deal for the price I’m having a hard time not purchasing just for the Christmas gifts I could get!! 6 full size Tarte makeup items to give as gifts for less than $70? I’d be sold. Thanks for the comments guys.

  6. Why the asterisk on the promo? Does that mean shipping is not included or something?

    • Might be a ‘while supplies last’ asterisk

  7. Does it open at midnight or a specific time Wed morning?

    • I read that it’ll be going live at 7am EST.

      • Oy, that’s crazy. I am so not getting up at 4am for this. Especially after election night…

  8. I think it’s worth it. Sells out very fast every year.

  9. I got this once and almost got it a second time.

When I was finished assembling, I realized that I only really wanted one or two items and I was better off just buying what I really wanted. Even though it was theoretically a bargain, it really wasn’t a bargain in terms of the cost per item of what I wanted.

I’ll check out again out of curiosity but I suspect that I will just pass as for $63 I can buy one or even two items I really covet.

  10. For those who have done this before, what are your thoughts? Is it worth it? Is there a way I can find what the best color for me is in the foundation? And what do you ladies think of the shape tape foundation?

    • Honestly I did this almost a year ago and I only used maybe two of the products. Most weren’t good 🙁

    • I did it last time and the value of the kit is outstanding for a full face of make-up. That being said, I do wish I had known which of the choices available would work best for me beforehand. Use the foundation matrix on temptalia.com and type in your closest matching current foundations. Also, the Tarte site gives decent shade descriptions fair-light neutral, etc. I picked the Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation (love and was told is my best color match by a close friend), the Maracuja Creaseless Concealer (disliked- too thick and almost a shortening consistency, has been rereleased since), a self sharpening pencil liner (meh), Amazonian Clay Bronzer/Blush compact (liked), Gifted Amazonian Clay mascara (liked), Rainforest of the Sea Drench lipstick (stupidly picked an extremely deep color but loved the formula), I also chose the mermaid scale bag(very cute, larger than an Ipsy bag). Last year the kit options didn’t include Shape Tape Concealer. I have dry fall/winter/spring skin, but oily skin in the hot AZ summer. Depending on products available, I may get it again.

    • I’ve used 2 of the products almost daily for the last 6 months, 1 weekly and the other a handle full of times. I haven’t used the Lippie and mascara and that’s only bc I’m on overload. I would definitely get again if my shades were available.

    • If you know other foundations that work you you can check out findation. You just plug in a couple foundations that already work and they give you matches for other brands.

    • I definitely think it’s worth it. It averages out to $10 an item. The bag is really nice quality too.

I would go to Ulta and test out their foundation to figure out your color or just use a foundation matcher online. You can put in what you currently wear and get suggestions.

The matte shape tape foundation is better than the other, imo.

    • It is a good idea . . . but I ended up not using the products. Like the last round, I ended up only really ended up using maybe 2 of the 7 items. I have other brands I favor over Tarte for eye and lip products. The foundation I selected online ended up not being the right shade for me.

That said even if you just use 2-3 of the 7 items, it might be worth it. The brush is always useful and unused items or the bundle can always be gifted.

    • I have both the Shape Tape and Amazonian Clay foundations, and IMO the Amazonian Clay blows away the Shape Tape!!! The Clay is my holy Grail of foundations. I decided to try the Shape Tape during 21 days of beauty at Ulta and I used it twice and was very up happy with the results. O wanted to return it, but never got around to it. Idk how to explain it, but I guess it looked kind of gritty and cakey…I never have a Problem with the clay though. I apply it with a damp beauty blender and it looks so smooth and it covers perfectly!! Hope that helps.

    • TOTALLY worth it. Shape tape concealer is amazing. Have not tried the foundation.

    • I threw mine away. Worst product I have probably ever bought. I know many love it but it emphasized every bad thing on my face and broke down horribly, around my nose and between my eyes. Total waste of money for me.

  11. I’ve been checking multiple times a day waiting for this announcement lol. I’ve never gone for it before, always on product overload, but after a long beauty sub break I finally need more. I’m ultra fair, so if those shades sell out before I get it, I’ll be waiting another 6 months 😛

    • Melissa how do you discipline yourself to take a long sub break?? I have so much product but I get fomo when I look on here for the spoilers and I tell myself that’s too good of a deal to miss. Haha and now I have so much stuff even after giving to friends and family. I need to be stronger…and just not get on here so I can’t see what i’m missing. November is the hardest though with all the great deals for black Friday. Maybe starting the new year I can make a resolution to take a break. 😊

      • I’m in your club Kristine. 😌
