No ‘regular’ November box yet.

Target has released more Holiday boxes- Target Your Skin ($14.99), Good Clean Fun ($9.99, natural products) and Let It Glow ($14.99, masks).

At these price points, none are really calling my name.

I wonder why they raised the prices so drastically? Back in spring when they offered four boxes, they were $7 each, and the mask box also contained five masks. The other boxes were actually 7-8 items each, and I don’t remember any of them selling out instantaneously.

I am guessing these will all be on sale eventually.

I know that some people like Target boxes for the “discovery” factor and to receive/try things that they otherwise wouldn’t buy.

I’m not one of those people. I buy them purely for value. I want to receive things that I know I will use and that are a good monetary value. None of these, save the Dermastore box, provides that value. Honestly, a box of five small hairsprays at $3.00 each? At that price per ounce, I’ll just buy what I want at the salon.

I have an extra $3 off $15 or more… expires tonight. (11/5/18)

Target Promo code: NJG9WGJLKMCNDMK3

Enjoy!

Is the dry shampoo box worth the price?

The sleek pallet was so tiny last time and this looks like the same one. Makeup for ants. I couldn’t even fit my brush in the pans. Just an FYI if that wad the selling feature for anybody. Otherwise the Boots box looks great.

Missy

I guess it didn’t. Okay I’m not sure who goes shopping on black Friday, but Target stores will have all theses beauty boxes (dermstore not included) plus ALL other brands beauty boxes BOGO. That’s a pretty good deal. I’m gong to wait till black Friday to get a few of these.

Reply ButtonReply

Enid

thanks for the heads up!

Reply ButtonReply

Missy

Did my comment about black Friday post lol? This is so confusing to post something

Reply ButtonReply

Missymalay

Not sure who goes black Friday shopping, but I was looking through Target’s black Friday ad and they’re going to have ALL their beauty boxes BOGO. All of theses boxes (not the dermstore) plus all other beauty gifts sets are included. I was going to get a few but I’m going to wait and do the BOGO.

The Dermstore one was sold out by the time I took out my coupons last night. But I wanted to try one more time and I was able to order one first thing in the morning (EST). The order went through with coupon, so hopefully I am able to receive one. And it looks like the $7 monthly box would launch tomorrow or so.

Mary

Are they not going to have the regular Beauty Box this month?

Reply ButtonReply

JMM

I must have finally reached total maximum product overload as I am not even tempted by any of these. 🙂

Dawn

😂 I was only eying the dry shampoo one for my daughter but I can’t stand it when they don’t list the sizes. I’m guessing it’s well worth the $8.99 though?

Reply ButtonReply

Emilia

Meh. I got the Dermstore one yesterday – now that’s a box!

I bought the Shea moisture box because I love that curl cream. I’m not going to buy the curly hair care box until it goes on sale maybe because false lashes are a pain. I am glad that they at least separated out the two hair care items I least like, hair spray and dry shampoo, into separate boxes so that I can avoid them completely.

And even finding these boxes on the app and the website is really difficult. Why make things that you want to sell difficult to find target?

I wonder why these boxes are all variations on hair care. Some of us are particular as to what we use on our hair and at this price point, it’s not that easy to spring for samples that may not work.

Last year, they had a variety of boxes available at a lower price point and those interested me more (I’m still working through some of the samples!).

I agree this is a disappointing selection. A whole box of dry shampoo?! Dry shampoo is the #1 item I’m sick of getting in sub boxes…the only time those come in handy is camping trips and even then they don’t really help clean my hair. I don’t understand why these are so trendy. Since I have a shower to actually WASH my hair, I have been giving all of the ones I get to a friend who makes up care bags at the local shelter for homeless women.

Tara

You shouldn’t wash your hair everyday. I use dry shampoo on non hair wash days to absorb the oil but still shower everyday. I can never have enough dry shampoo. We all like different things and the sub world can never make us all happy.

JuJu

Or even a nice body care box would have been preferable to this. Or (something I don’t think they’ve ever done before) – nail care.

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

Yeah, why no makeup box or skincare?

Reply ButtonReply

Cynthia

The Dermstore-Target box was all skin care.

JuJu

Oh, I didn’t realize the hair styling box is all hairspray! And that’s not a good price for five samples either, considering the current sales on Ulta (with a much bigger variety).

Yeah, so that’s a pass for me, too…

Will see what the regular Target beauty box this month has to offer.

To Target and other box creators,
Please stop trying to give me false eyelashes. No matter how easy you claim they are to apply, I’ve been there and done that. No thank you. Full stop.
Sincerely yours,
A beauty box lover

YEEEESSSS!!!

These are pretty expensive, so I’ll only be getting the hair styling box that’s not included in the post above. I wonder, btw, why I can’t find any of these by searching for “beauty box” on the Target site?.. They don’t show up by going to Categories –> Beauty –> Beauty Boxes either.

With dry shampoo I can probably assemble my own box with all of them I’ve received from beauty boxes, and in the curly hair box I am not interested in those over-the-top lashes, and not sure what tea tree oil has to do with styling. The smell alone would be a huge no-no on my hair.

Also, I still remember that Curls Blueberry Bliss Cream from an earlier curly hair box they curated, and the bottle is hard plastic that cannot be squeezed, and the product is too thick to come out on its own. I never did get to try it out.

Still on the fence about the SheaMoisture box…

Reply ButtonReply

Amanda

I do love Shea moisture, and I live anything that makes my hair curly my favorite was the aunt Annie’s curl sample in one of the boxes I got, Shea is expensive so I actually like this box ,and tea tree helps to keep from lice I’ve heard ,I’m not sure if its for hair I have to read on that more but I thought it was just an essential oil for a diffuser lol, the dry shampoo one is kinda ridiculous they give you one in almost every box so now there’s one with all the brands I heard a bad review on the love beauty and planet because I just bought the full size shampoo conditioner and face mask I read the review on dry shampoo and they were iffy, to find them type in holiday beauty box

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

You should definitely check out the current sales on the Ulta site, they have travel sizes of all the expensive hair care brands for $3 – you can create as many of your own beauty boxes as you want! 😉

Juls

Do these replace the regular monthly $7 boxes??

Reply ButtonReply

MissBailey

I don’t think so. A search of “beauty box” on the Target website shows new products. Last month, the box went live on a Tuesday. I would look for it tomorrow.

Reply ButtonReply

Aarjullor

I just got the dermastore skin care kit, and the holiday hair shampoo/styling kit.

Reply ButtonReply

Lori

I’ve seen boxes in store too.

Reply ButtonReply

Annette

The dermstore one was just available…if you didn’t get one check!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Cyndi

Thanks for mentioning this, I tried to get one last night and earlier this morning and they were sold out.

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

Thank you, I was just able to snag one!

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

Liz, looks like there’s another one called Big Hair Don’t Care with all hair sprays. 🎉

Reply ButtonReply

Jt

Any word on the beauty advent? Saving for that!

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Some stores currently do have a 12 Days of Beauty box for $19.99. It seems like they’re releasing the boxes in waves online, since they still haven’t shown the mascara, skincare, or sheet mask boxes some stores already have (for $14.99 each).

Reply ButtonReply

Alex

The Let It Glow box is available online now!

Meagan

If you just search beauty box on the site now, there are also new products showing, so I’m guessing the new regular beauty box will be showing up soon.

Reply ButtonReply

Em

Looks like it will be a good one too! I use or would like to try all of those products. Just hoping the Hask shampoo and conditioner aren’t only packets. I know we just got shampoo/conditioner samples last month, but I travel a lot for the holidays, so it would be nice to have a couple extra travel-size items.

Redhed36

I think these would make nice tree fillers. They are easy to wrap, decent size, and I’d think they’d be appreciated.
