  12. I like this. More than anything else, I REALLY applaud the creativity surrounding the inclusions in this box. They have a knack for including items we haven’t already seen 20 times over in half a dozen other sub boxes. After all, how many swell/corkcicle bottles or shadow palettes can one girl own??!

    As a result, their inclusions are often a little less universally appealing but I think the uniqueness outweighs that. In the end, I think this is the perfect example of my ideal sub box inclusion: something I likely never ever ever would have purchased for myself but something I just might end up loving and wondering how I ever lived without it!

  13. aaah! i suggested this item in their survey. I’m not sure I want to resins rube at the higher price point for it though. I’ve also had shaky luck with their electronic items which are always cool but kind of prototype and largely unsupported (earbuds, tesla lighter).

  14. I really want to love Breo but I’m so currently irritated with them! I JUST received the 2 Fall boxes on Tuesday and I had paid for them during the beginning of September!! I’ve been a subscriber since their first box and although I enjoy the boxes for the most part I find their “error” inexcusable! Sorry…I’m just still salty over their “error”!! I currently have NO use for a charcoal grill with snow on the ground and temperatures hovering around 30 degrees!

      We apologized for the oversight but hoped the apology, expedited shipping and the extra gift i personally placed in the package on top of the box somewhat made up for it!

  15. It’s a cup of coffee or tea. Drink it. Don’t take 30 minutes about it, and temperature won’t be a problem. Or get a $5 travel mug that goes anywhere with you and keeps the stuff warm for a while.

    • With you on that one. I must be missing something…we need an app and $80 for a cup of coffee now? Yikes. Love my coffee, don’t like it getting cold, but…yikes.

      Let me present you this idea…

      I am already subscribed to Breo. I drink a lot of tea and coffee. I sometimes get busy or forget about my said tea and coffee. What if…and listen to this…

      What if I, a Breo subscriber, get this mug included in the box and enjoy hot tea or coffee even when I forget to drink it after I made it like an hour ago?

      Yes, I could use my thermal mugs but what if I could use this really cool piece of technology to make my life even easier???

      • You know those things that you set candles on and it heats them up so you don’t have to light them? Yea, that’s for your hot drinks, to keep them warm. Or there’s this really cool piece of technology called a microwave lol

        • Not sure about the poster above, but those plug-in warmers are banned at my work because they are considered a fire hazard.

          • Honestly, I have no idea. Nobody here uses them. If a drink gets cold, get a freshie. But the people here drink coffee like it’s lifeblood so I doubt anyone ever has a cold cup haha. I don’t mind when my tea gets cold, still tastes good and I don’t like coffee. As for banned items, we aren’t allowed space heaters because of that same reason. So the company bought us electric blankets. Somehow those are allowed, even though I think they’re more likely to catch fire. Oh well!

        • What’s a microwave? 😂 City-living doesn’t come with the counter space.
          Point is, it’s a cool piece of technology that will make some people’s lives easier. People used to ridicule the idea of microwaves back in the day 😉

      • kate, you hit the nail on the head. yes, other things may do the job but this is a really cool piece of technology. And even though I don’t drink hot items I can see the coolness factor here.

    • I work on the phone with customer service. Sometimes we get super busy with back to back calls and I can’t get to my coffee. I’ve tried the wax warmers and it makes the cup too hot to pick up. I do thermal mugs sometimes, but nearly always lose the lids when my kids do the dishes. I’m attached to a phone with a headset, so I can’t just get to reheat or get a fresh cup until break or lunch…so this is perfect and practical for my life, lol.

  17. Love the red box! I only drink iced drinks even in cold weather. Not too keen on a high RV item I’ll never use.
    This will be the first item with the “extra” for 5 and higher box subscribers. Very curious to see what that will be.

  18. I gifted a Breo sub to my son last Christmas and he loves it!!! He’s the only coffee drinker in our family so this will be great for him. I love that red box!!

  19. I’ve had issues with nearly every electronic that’s come in a Breo box. I want to love them, but at this price point, these products haven’t been warrantied. The worst were the earbuds. 2 boxes; both pairs are useless.
    They mentioned that I needed to make a claim within 30 days…which didn’t help since one pair was gifted well after the 30 day mark…
    In any case, they both crapped out; One was its just a few weeks of use, the other after a month or so.

    The “Ember” looks to have great customer service but only if purchasing directly.
    “Please note, the 30-day money back guarantee only applies to purchases made through, and does not apply to purchases made through third party retailers.”

    Complaints with Ember seem to be the porcelain chipping off and contact points that break. My coffee mugs get a ton of mileage…so this spoiler could go from a hero item to frustrating zero item, for me, like the earbuds (and scale and speaker). That’s a tough call for an expensive box. I love my yeti tumbler…hot coffee for hours..

    • Indiegogo shut down the crowdfunding for the alien earbuds after numerous complaints so not surprising yours broke down.

      • Yes…I called them out before for all the indiegogo items…I won’t even buy directly from indiegogo anymore. So many scam manufacturers from China…delay upon delay, no warranty and no replacement…

        I love breo but would like to see a comprehensive warranty on electronics/gadgets. This prevents me from resubbing…($400+ lost revenue since I haven’t bought last 2 boxes…one for me one to gift)

    • Indiegogo shut down the crowdfunding for the alien earbuds because of so many complaints so no surprise they didn’t last.

      Did you make contact with us about any faulty items? I personally handle shipping out the replacements or making it right if the manufacturer fails to do so. In regard to the alien ear buds we did have quite a few subscribers (about 5%) that had issues which we either replaced with a new pair or provided a comparable item. We can’t help if we aren’t made aware that you have an issue, please always reach out if that is ever the case and I promise we will do our absolute best to make it right.

      • Hi Chadi,

        I reached out and we spoke on the phone. Then when I emailed a follow up (months later when no replacements were sent, as promised per our conversation), the other person who answered wasn’t so gracious. For what it’s worth I gave up. I was feeling like I needed to “beg” for what was promised…or like I’m a problem customer….I basically dropped it because it’s tiring after several iterations/time…about the same issue, etc. ..

  20. Yes – 2 more spoilers and I’m down – I had to pause my subscription for a minute cause they weren’t giving me something I could feel 😂😂😂, but I’m tempted to come back.

  21. I enjoy coffee, but I just can’t wrap my brain around an $80 mug… Definitely a first world problem to have coffee get so cold we need a Bluetooth and battery powered mug to get through our day. Kudos to Breo for finding an innovative product tho that I’m guessing most people do not own.

  22. Very nice! My only complaint is that it’s only 10 oz…I like my 16 oz cup, but then my coffee never gets to sit long enough that it goes cold. I’ll probably gift this to someone with a less-pronounce coffee problem.

    • Your post made me laugh out loud! I’m in the same boat as you…a 10 oz coffee mug is more like a shot glass to me!

  23. I love this spoiler! I’m an annual subscriber and love this box a lot. One comment I would have is that this doesn’t ship until the 2nd week of December meaning it is hard to say if it will be delivered in time for Christmas (especially with how delayed packages can get around that time) I wish that they would ship for current subscribers the first week of December. I would love to have my items in time to possibly gift them for Christmas and not have to worry about it being delivered while I am out of town for Christmas. I think that the second week in December is a poor planning choice for shipping.

      For those currently subscribers or planning to subscribe by December 9th they will have their box between Dec 11th-19th if they live in the continental United States and most in Canada depending on the customs process.
