Ipsy Add Ons – What Are They + How Do I Get Them?

Did you know ipsy is now offering Add-Ons every month? These are additional products you can add to your glam bag subscription. (And starting in November, Glam Bag Plus subscribers can participate, too!)

Here's everything you need to know:

Add-Ons are available for 24 hours so plan accordingly! The November Add-Ons will be available starting at 6 AM PT on November 2nd.

Even though you have 24 hours, make sure to shop early! October was the first month ipsy offered Add-Ons, and many of the products were sold out by 2 PM PT!

Glam Bag Plus Members can add-on too. Starting in November, Glam Bag Plus members can access add-ons too!

You have to reveal your glam bag spoilers to gain access to Add-Ons. To access add-ons, visit ipsy.com or the ipsy mobile app for your monthly Spoiler Alert. Once you complete the Spoiler Alert, you will see a selection of products that can be added to your bag. Select the products you’d like, confirm your order, and the products will ship with your glam bag

You may choose up to 3 add-on products per month. These items will be added to your glam bag or glam bag plus shipment. And shipping is free!

The Add-Ons will be a small selection of products, some of which are from that month's Glam Bag assortment. For October, ipsy offered sample-sized products at $3 each. Future Add-Ons may also include full-size products.

Well…. I set my alarm for 6am so I would not miss out on the “add on” products. I added the items & when I went to submit the order I got an error message over & over again saying there was a problem charging my card. But yet the Ipsy monthly payment just went thru fine yesterday. I know for FACT there is no problem with my card. Been using the same card for years now. So disappointed I can not complete my add on order.

Hi – so it was 0330 CST on 02 Nov, when I noticed the add-ons are already available for purchase and some are already sold out (which tells me maybe they’ve been available for a while). I purchased one add-on and I got the confirmation email from Ipsy a few minutes later. So hopefully this helps and others can get in on the add-on action sooner than later! 🙂

Is everyone able to purchase add-ons? I am subscribed for the Glam Bag Plus. I wasn’t offered add-ons last month or this month. I did the spoiler reveal and it never offered it to me.

I’m curious as to whether ipsy Plus will still follow our opt-outs. My account says don’t send me blush and highlighter, so that should mean I don’t get the Tarte cheek palette and would get the eyeshadow palette. I hope.

I ordered an add on item and never received it contacted ipsy and they said I never ordered it. Which I did. ridiculous.

One add-on I got was First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, a 1oz tube that retails for $6. I LOVE that stuff! My bag with add-ons came sooner than my other bag with no add-ons, both in the middle of the month, when I usually get my bags. I’ve got my alarm set for 6am tomorrow, and I’m hoping for some of those Huda lip glosses, I love all the colors shown except one, and that’s unusual for me!

I love this option and I cant wait to see if there is anything I wasn’t to add on for November. I added on the MAC lipglass in October and it was in my bag with the rest of my items.

Yes Buyer beware, I also added on last month and didn’t receive my bag until yesterday. They stated that it was taking so long due to the add-ons, thats fine except my bag finally came and my add-ons weren’t in it. I ordered the bum bum cream and a shape tape, instead i got a slimglass brush and that was it. I’m actually surprised i got a bag at all..Ridiculous..I’m not risking it this time.

Me too. Got my bag yesterday, I added on shape tape, mac lipglass, and bum bum cream. Only the shape tape (in a darker color than I chose) was included. Lame.

My October bag is due to be delivered today. I bought ad on’s also! Hopefully they get all the kinks worked out. Why should buying extra items push your bag back 3 weeks? I’m hoping that I get all the extra’s that I ordered.

Facebook account deleter here due to privacy concerns.

Why is IPSY pushing their add ons via Facebook only? Are they that desperate for ads? They have millions of subscribers.

I can’t get off the waitlist for the Ipsy Glam Bag Plus because of the Facebook issue. It keeps me held back because I won’t sign back up.

This is shady as heck to me and is changing the good feelings I’ve had for IPSY.
That plus the fact that they were supposed to send me 2 Oct. boxes I paid for and I have ZERO.

Ipsy expects us to spam everybody we know. That is what makes me upset. I do not have Facebook and I don’t want it! Facebook is too negative for me. Then the data breech made me decide to delete my account.

I was able to contact customer service and ask to be removed from the waitlist, because I don’t have Facebook. You may want to give it a try. No experience with the add-ons yet.

The only way I want OFF the waitlist for the Plus bag is to actually GET the Plus bag. 🙂

I’m also still waiting to get off the Glam Bag Plus waitlist and I too balked at posting to facebook and whatnot. I kind of just don’t care anymore. They don’t want my money? Ok, fine. Honestly, I haven’t seen any contents since the spoilers for the influencers’ bags that I really want so, meh.

I have never had to share my bag on Facebook. I just set it to no (or off, I can’t remember which) and then I see what’s in my bag.

You have to share your glam bag on Facebook to see your spoilers then you are also able to see add on .

you just have to unclick the Facebook button

I’ve never actually shared my bag on Facebook to see it though. When the notification pops up there is a slider, I move it over to “off” for Facebook and then proceed to show my my glam bag.

Thanks to a glitch I have had for few months now I cannot access add ons. I will see share to Facebook to see spoiler screen I share to Facebook and it still says share to see spoilers!! I am not able to actually see my spoilers on app or website until review products option comes up. Way after 24 hour window. Yes I have emailed Ipsy both when it happened months ago and last month when I realized I can’t see add ons. Yes I have tried all the tricks to try and fix. They are ” looking into it ” Maybe it is for the best I heard several horror stories about it.

Share to Facebook never works for me either — just one more thing about them that made me angry this month.

I ordered the Derma-E Serum and Bum Bum Cream as add ons, paid $6, and only received the Bum Bum Cream. I also didn’t receive my October bag until today- Oct 31st because of the add ons. So, buyer beware they are clearly still working out the kinks.

I received my bag on time, but I think I was fairly fast about picking my add-ons (just two of the shape tapes in different shades) so maybe it depends on what add-on item was chosen.

I got my bag yesterday and it was missing the brush I ordered. They said another would be shipped shortly. Apparently (according to their email) it takes longer to get your bag when you order add ons. They c eaten your bag and then they open the bag to add your extra items. That’s why they were late and looked like they had been opened (they had).

I received my bag on October 30th and didn’t receive the one add-on item I had purchased! I emailed CS and they said they were sending it out. I’m guessing they have some kinks they need to figure out with this new feature!!

They do that when you get point items too. It’s always been like that, where they open it back up for those items and tape it back. Plus it gets delayed.

The same thing happened to me…I paid $9 for 3 add ons and only received 1 with my bag. Also received it very late on October 30th!

Same thing happened to me. I added the bum bum cream and also the Murad vitamin c wash and received only the bum bum cream. Cs sent me an email explaining that samples go fast, but I had paid for the add on. Still haven’t received a refund.

CS claimed they will send me out a Derma-E Serum. But I seriously doubt it, esp since someone else on reddit was told by CS that they had sold out of the serum.

I love this idea. Props to Ipsy for adding so many new enhancements to the “ipsy” experience. I’m looking forward to seeing what they introduce in 2019.

I used to be subscribed to ipsy but I just started to get the same thing over and over so I ended up canceling it.

This is a brilliant way for them to clear out overages and leftovers. I added a product last month like that, and really enjoyed it.

I think the add ons available may vary by individual preferences/bag. I don’t remember all that were available to me in October, but I was able to purchase a First Aid Beauty ultra repair cream add on. (Perfect size. Great for travel!)

I LOVE this idea! It’s almost enough to make me resub. Hopefully other boxes will jump on the bandwagon quickly. I know Birchbox does this, but only for full size and often, overpriced products. I’ll be watching to see how this plays out…
