I grabbed one even though I already have the Hourglass mascara and Tatcha cream. I decided to unsubscribe from all beauty boxes after December for atl least a year. Stocking up.

Nope nope nope. I got three boxes lately (two 40 and one 50) and the sizes was sooooo small. No more. No matter what brand they put in it

I have mixed feelings about the new non-sub Play boxes. At $25 I’m definitely not gonna buy this one without knowing it will have something I really want. However, there is something to be said for a $20 box where you know everything you’re going to get instead of the $10 gamble with regular Play. The 40’s box was a big win for me. I already use Good Genes and Luna daily so they more than paid for the box with the other three products and cute case as an excellent bonus. I ended up loving the Tatcha water cream and I really liked the Caudalie eye cream which was 1/3 full size and worth more than the cost of the box. So while I’m probably not going to buy this one (despite the super cute bag) I’m still considering cancelling my regular Play box subscription and buying these boxes periodically when I know they’ll have stuff I want to try.

I see tatcha water cream, hourglass mascara and Tom ford perfume. Givenchy should be in there but not sure what else. I’m sure I’ll give in lol.

Those skincare boxes are really nice that you see when you click the link above. They also had a bag with an orange top of canvas type bag that was nice too

As much as i like the little puffer bag, I was so annoyed over them picturing the La Mer eye concentrate in a small jar with the applicator and then sending a tiny tube, and everything else in the box being smaller than a sample from Sephora or a department store that i got in the car and returned the last box.

Small jar+ applicator is the full-sized version. Besides, tubes are better for creams.

The La Mer lasted me almost three weeks

$25 for an $83 value isn’t a super great deal to me, especially without knowing what is in it. For now I will hold out, although I do like the bag!

I know most people didn’t like the last one, but I loved the La Mer eye cream so much it felt worth it to me. I also love the mascara, it’s been in my travel bag since I got it.

I’m gonna get this bag too. The puffy bag is cute and I like that it has a wrist strap!

The La Mer and mascara were my favorites too! Definitely made the last one worth it

My eyes looked amazing! I really want more of that La Mer but it’s soooooo expensive.

I fell for it last time but I won’t be falling for it again!

Not falling for it again! Hey Sephora….put those samples to use in our regular Play boxes why don’t ya?

Jen

Sadly the bag is the most exciting part of this for me😐👎 Compared to other subs in this price range it’s juat not worth it. But I still Love Sephora❤️

I might get it, but I don’t understand how we can get boxes like the Beauty Report fall box for $29.99 with free shipping and get all the great full size products (and yes some travel size,) and then Play! puts out a box for $25 with 5 or six tiny samples? Hmmmmmm?????

Courtney

EXACTLY WHAT JILL SAID. The Favorites sets and other Sephora offers are way more exciting to me than Play. I’d much rather go into the Rewards Bazaar and personally select the exact samples I’m interested in, and use my cold hard cash to buy larger sizes.

Your right! I would rather do that too…..I would think Sephora would at least put one full size product in there to sweeten the deal a bit. Look at it this way….Ipsy Plus is gonna be 5 full size products for the same exact price!! I know it’s Sephora and it’s supposed to be “luxe” brands in this, but I am not gonna go and spend the money on these “luxe” products afterwards, because they are way too expensive for my wallet. Yea, it’s nice to try them, but why tease myself lol. I will stick with Ipsy Plus, Beautyfix, Boxycharm (luxe), and FFF (add-ons). Also, the occasional special edition box like Beauty Report. I am totally satisfied with those choices for myself and most of everything is full size and a great deal! The tiny samples just don’t do it for me. I subbed to Play! for about 3 months and the only thing I liked was the cute little bottles that are now empty, but they are cute to keep lol

Liz, my first thought is I love the puffer bag. I scroll down and that’s what you wrote. Great minds think alike!

Lol! I was going to comment that I loved it too but I was afraid that made me a dork so i didn’t. I didn’t even notice Liz’s comment because i was so smitten. I’m glad I’m not alone. 😉
