MOA created natural skincare products, made in England, inspired by old herbal folklore and with a sprinkling of magic! Our hero herb yarrow (Achillea Millefolium), is shrouded by tales of folklore and can be found beside hedgerows all across the UK. The miraculous powers of this humble herb have been used for centuries to heal and repair. Named after Greek hero Achilles, who legend has it, used it to heal his soldiers’ wounds after battle. Our original product The Green Balm continues this age-old tradition of using yarrow as a healing herb and this calming, multi-purpose balm can be used for all manner of skin ailments. MOA products are cruelty free with carefully selected organic and botanical ingredients to improve wellbeing and to practice a simple, yet effective daily skin care ritual. We do not use petrochemicals (mineral oil), parabens, SLS, phthalates, fillers or artificial fragrance and our newer products are all vegan. Achieving a product which works in harmony with mother nature is important to us, therefore we try and source as much of our packaging from the UK using recycled board and printed with vegetable inks, each product is considered mindfully and consciously.

  1. I’m just curious really what makes one bamboo washcloth $9, I just bought packs of 6 & 8 and I’m genuinely curious?

  2. Anyone know how the MOA stuff smells? Is it herbal /antiseptic or Floral ? I’m worried this stuff will not smell good

    • Hi Misty, I’ve seen you asking about this brand in other posts, and I’ve been hesitant to respond, because I have used The Green Balm before, but it was a while ago, and for the life of me I can’t recall how it smelled! (truth be told, I used it for my cuticles, so I don’t think I ever really smelled it) But what I can say is that to me it didn’t have an off-putting odor as I’m sure I would have remembered that. I do recall making a comment about the balm when the brand spoiler was made, and I think someone had replied that she had used it in the past, so hopefully that same person can give some input to your question. 🙂

      • Thank you Luna! I appreciate it 😉

    • I was the one who posted. I’d say it has a very light minty sort of scent. I think it’s pretty subtle and definitely not medicinal. Hope that helps!

  3. This will be my first box and I am excited! Does anyone know when it ships? I’m trying to make the switch to more organic skincare and this subscription should help introduce me to some new, high quality brands.

    • I believe they typically ship around mid-month. I’m thinking that because I know I’ve usually received a few of my other sub boxes by the time I get my Pearlesque box.

      • Thank you! How does this sub compare to other natural/organic skincare subs? Any other recommendations?

        • Pearlesque has always been one of my most favorite green beauty subs. When thinking of the products they include, I’d compare this box to other boxes that feature only one brand like Beauty Heroes & The Detox Box. However, Art of Organics & Boxwalla are also known to occasionally only feature one brand too (I think Boxwalla has really been leaning toward this lately).

Out of all of them though, I feel this box is most comparable to The Detox Box only because they tend to focus on mid-range to higher-end brands, whereas I’ve always felt that the other boxes lean toward luxe green beauty brands. There is definitely overlap though in featured brands between all boxes.

Some other green beauty boxes I like, but typically include multiple brands are Botanic+Terre and Maple Blume. Mintd is also one of my other favorite boxes, and I think they fall into the clean beauty genre too.

One box that I’ve also enjoyed is Petit Vour. They’re a sample box though, but I really like how they feature a range of brands with different price points from drugstore (like Andalou Naturals) to luxe (like Mun Skincare).

          • Thank you so much for the detailed reply! A few of those I’ve never heard of so I’ll definitely look into them. Petit Vour sounds really nice to get a feel for different price ranges, although getting some of the more luxe brands feels like such a treat too!

          • You’re welcome! 🙂 Ya, since I’m now in product overload, but yet don’t want to kick my sub box habit, I decided to narrow down my boxes to basically those listed above because I wanted to keep the boxes that make me feel giddy inside when it comes time to unbox them & use the products. 🙂 The only exception to the list above though is Petit Vour. I love that box(!), but I really want to halt receiving sample sized items in boxes for the time being, so I cancelled that a couple of months ago with misty eyes. (oh, but I am still subbed to Sisley, so there’s an exception to my no sample rule 🙂 )

  4. I signed up yesterday with the coupon. I researched MOA and they have great reviews. And there’s such a good mix of products this month. I can’t wait to get my box!

    • Me too, can’t wait!
