Got mine today. The bag is nicer than I expected, perfect size for brushes.

Macy’s is probably my favorite department store even though I don’t have one near me, however, I feel like I expect more from them than what I’ve seen in these beauty boxes. Perhaps because some of these things are samples you can occasionally get at the store, or as large as they are I think they could afford better, or maybe it’s the $15 price tag for samples. I realize there’s the normal $5 credit but still, Sephora Play is $10 a month and the samples are just as good. Even Ipsy at $10 a month. Idk I think Macy’s could and should do better box. I feel like they just jumped on the bandwagon but maybe in the future, after they see people are serious about the items and will cancel, then they’ll up their game.

Looks like Macy’s likes to copy ipsy. The bag looks a lot like ipsy bag for September. I do believe I even received a Calvin Cline Perfume sample from ipsy too.

And what do you mean “likes to copy Ipsy”? When have you ever seen similarities aside from the eyes on the bag?

This is nothing even similar to what I got from Ipsy……

Does anyone know how long the coupon lasts? Does each one have an expiration date? TIA!

The coupons are good for two months. The expiration date is different each time, but it’s around the end of the next month after the box comes out.

Did anyone else not receive their box yet? I keep forgetting to cancel this box but finally did right after getting the email that they billed me for October’s Box. For those who want to cancel, remember to do so before the 10th of the month prior to the next month’s box.

I’m so irritated with Macy’s! First of all, they NEVER charge you the same time every month. Once in a while it’s around the 1st or 2nd but more often than not it’s the 27th or 28th. And god forbid you don’t have the money ready because they DO NOT warn you, they just cancel you! No email to give u a chance to rectify. And now I tried to re-sign up after seeing these spoilers, on the 28th of SEPTEMBER! I’m told I will NOT receive the Octybag but will start with the November bag! So why did they charge me already then?!?!?!? So not happy right now!!

Great info for us who were thinking about subscribing! Thank you! I will not be subscribing to this box if they treat their customers cards like this.

A company not counting on the customer having $15 plus tax in their account does not equate poor customer service.
Use a credit card.

Why am I being charged for this bag 3 days before October? Is this how it always is?

Yes. You still may not even get one delivered and then you you have to call your bank to make sure they refunded you.

This particular EL eye product is a good one. I’ve got the best of the best, and it really does do a great job. Apparently, these are some of the companies that I’ve enjoyed in the past that now fall under the umbrella company of Estee Lauder: BECCA; Clinique; GlamGlow; Bobbi Brown; LaMer [oh, I miss you Meteorites, boo]; Tom Ford [pains in the chest]; M.A.C.; Aramis; Aveda; Jo Malone; Origins; Aerin; Bumble and Bumble; Le Labo; Rodin; Kilian [feeling a little woozy]; DKNY; Kiton; Too Faced [this company is EVERYWHERE, TOO!]; Tory Burch; Smashbox; Donna Karan; Tommy Hilfiger, and Michael Kors…plus, more I think. There’s something about roaming the great halls of the big European stores, and the fun ones like Liberty London, that it never feels right with ownership exchanging…even if the formulas remain the same for a while…it seems like something always changes. Apologies for the wistful post. The products are all extremely nice, and it looks like a great bag. Still not regretting cancelling my subscription, though. 🙂

Estée Lauder owns EVERYTHING! I used to work for them! Lancome is not owned by them, I also worked for them……I wish my last name was Lauder!

Oh my! Ester Lauder has a monopoly on the beauty industry. Too many products that fall under the same overall think tank. Wonder if that limits the creativity involved in the creation of each product. Makes the discovery of new products a bit boring.

I actually like that Macy’s occasionally sends cologne samples. It makes me feel a little better about spending money on a box if there’s something I can share with my husband. lol I also love Estee Lauder skincare, especially the ANR, so that’s a win for me!
My eyes have become increasingly sensitive lately so I’m not sure if the eye products (aside from the Purity) will work for me, but that’s a personal issue and nothing against the products themselves. Overall, I think this is a good box/bag!

I’m actually really interested in this bag. The bag itself is super cute. I love the ipsy sept bag that is similar and am loving this one – the color and shape. Very excited to try some of these items. Missed out on August bag I really wanted, was eh about Sept bag, happy about October bag.

This will be my first Macy’s box, and I’m excited.
I really like that each month has a theme and–fully admitting I’m only just (in my 30s, yikes!) getting into the make-up and skincare game so my knowledge is likely limited–that 5 out of 6 of these are brands that I know and otherwise would buy.
I’m also really appreciating the equal balance of make-up and skincare that Macy’s seems to put in each box. Although I’ll agree with Jamie, the perfume is useless to me, but hopefully I can give them to friends/family.

Its ok, i’m in my 30’s too and fairly new to the skin care scene. 🙂 I dont really do make up beside mascara so I love all those samples. These beauty boxes are great for learning about products and being able to try them without spending tons on buying a bunch of full size products.

I’m similar, I rarely ever wore any make-up at all, but as my career got going I did finally pick up a very minimal routine of powder, eyeliner and a lip. That’s still all I really do, but I am trying to branch out and find other colors and styles. The trial sizes are also fabulous for me because I travel regularly for work and the samples are so much easier to fly with.
That said, I might’ve gone a bit subscription box crazy… I signed up for Brichbox, Ipsy and Macy’s all at once two weeks ago. Here’s to being late to the party–glad to know I’m not the only one!

Hmm, literally nothing that interests me this month…
Good, because I wouldn’t have been able to subscribe for this box anyway. 🙂
