You should get to pick three and a smaller item like stickers.

When customizing the box, if all you wanted was polish, you would get three polishes (and probably have enough value left for the cat decals too.) There will be add-on options where you can select from further polishes (usually for $4.99 each but sometimes trios and sets get discounted.) There will probably be a ‘box upgrade’ option where for more money you can get all the colors. If you only like one or two colors in the collection, you can also ‘swap out’ for a different color from a pre-selected list.

Alternatively, you could probably get both nail treatments in the box or one nail treatment, one polish, and the decals. (Though if you have your eye on a more expensive makeup item, I’d suggest swapping the nail treatment out for a higher value item and then just grabbing the nail treatment as an add-on – I think around $8.99 for those.)

If you’ve never subscribed and use the code POLISHGIFT, they will also send you a free box of 12 polishes. The colors are random, however my free box did have a good variety of colors and finishes (matte, shimmers, glitters, and colors ranging from classic to adventurous.)

My first box was the September Box and I swapped the beauty item out for a Cushion Complexion (concealer) and got two other polishes in my box (Aubrey and Shawn #Shine.) I bought a mystery trio of polishes for $11.99 that turned out to be a pretty sheer turquoise and sheer purple and a pretty glitter topper, as well as a couple other polishes for $4.99, so I got another free polish for having three add-ons.

I didn’t end up continuing with the sub as the colors are nice but for me the formulas are very hit and miss – some are just too streaky/gloopy to wear. But, I’ve also found some polishes in the mix that I love, so it was worth trying out.

Even after all these years Julep is still one of my favorite subs. I love that I can skip whenever I want and I really love some of their skincare and lippie products.

Johnny is such a good black nail polish! It’s actually smart of them to feature it in October instead of trying to recreate the wheel with an unnecessary new black.

I got the black polish (Johnny) in a past box and really liked it. It is the truest black I’ve come across in a polish and if I remember correctly, applies and wears very well.

I’ve been skipping my boxes lately because of overload, but I may need to get this just for those black cat stickers!

OK, these are way more my style than last month.

Heather

Is it weird that the only thing I’m interested in is the uber-black polish?

Cyndi

Not all all, I’m resubbing for the black polish and cat stickers – so cute!

Me too! Those are the 2 items I really want. Lol.

Aerie

It’s already a thing, not sure why it’s part of the “new” collection. It’s a meh formula though, not one of their best.

Yeah, I figured. But its the only thing that looks appealing to me in this lineup. It actually has 4.7/5 stars on their site, which is quite high in comparison to a lot of their other polishes.
