Way too expensive for samples. The only advent calendar I’d pay $100 plus for is the Body Shop which I really want. If you guys want to watch unboxing of Advent Calendars check out Eltoria on YouTube. She does a whole series.

This is wayyy overpriced!!! I would pay $40 tips on this! All small samples && drug store items. Ridiculous!

I’d even say $30 tops for me. I mean, considering what we regularly get for $30 in the Beauty Report boxes?..

This is for people unfamiliar with the beauty market. I remember first time I saw Allure Thrills, and didn’t have much experience with beauty boxes, I also thought it was a great value.

$50 tops. Again.

i agree with all the criticisms and will not be getting this set. But- for anyone who does, Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Bombshell is an awesome red shade. Gal Gadot wore it to this year’s Oscars. Of course, you can just go buy it alone and save yourself $92.

Agree on the overpriced thing. I usually wait until later in the season and then buy from whats still around since the price has dropped by then and even more if any are left in the new years day sales.

I dont Ebay anymore, so does anyone know if these calendars are being bought and then resold for even higher prices elsewhere?

Luna I need to know all the beauty bloggers you sub to. How do you get your info? Your always in the know!

Luna

Haha! I’m actually not subbed to any beauty bloggers. What’s funny to me (and makes me think I need to come out from under my rock) is when any beauty bloggers are mentioned in the MSA comments, I’m always like “who dat?”, but then never bother to look them up or forget their names as soon as I finish reading the comments. haha! I guess that’s because I’m not really into makeup, but focus more on skincare. What I’d love to find out though is who are all of the good green beauty bloggers. I can only think of Gurl Gone Green, but I know there gotta be a ton out there.

Luna,
I’m a skincare junkie. I’m just curious where you find all the new releases coming out. All the sub boxes. You just seem to be “in the know” girl I wanna be in the know too! I am constantly on the hunt for new skincare. Thanks so much for your earlier reply and I just got to say I’m a little more than jelly at all your insider info lol

Debbie

For a $100 I expect more than Revlon. If it were cheaper I’d give it a go, but not at this price point

Anna

Liz will you be doing a compilation of all the advent calendars again this year? That is really helpful!

Dea

For $100, I don’t expect to see a Palmer’s product. Pixi or even Rimmel would have been fine.

Michelle

I thought the same when I saw Revlon and Sleek.

What’s with all these overpriced advent calendars this season? And even companies from last year jacking their prices up.

NTY not a good value for me personally but also if I’m buy a gift for someone it’s more likely to be in the under $50 range. Smh.

I agree that ALL the advent calendars so far are WAAAAY overpriced. They all are close to the $100 price point. That’s far too expensive for me. I think the only one I’ll be able to afford this year is Target and Walmart! LOL!

Drminniecooper

I didn’t know that walmart even did a beauty advent calendar, but I have bought the target calendar before and liked it. 🙂

Luna

I see a ton of these being on sale in November. 🙂

I’m really disappointed with the advent calendars this year so far. I agree that come November, most of these will be on sale. I’ll stay put for now and wait for that. Then…bonanza!

Mariek

Agree. I think they’re realizing how popular subscription boxes have become and are increasing their prices. It’s just going to have the opposite affect. The reason many of us got into subscription boxes was because of how good of a deal they were.

Glad it’s not just me. The last two years have been great but this year very meh.
