This is only my second box and i like the curated box but i am curious about their algorithm (ala ipsy and play) if I don’t choose anything instead (their website says they’ll do the work for me). I’m not sure though if it’s worth one box to satisfy my curiosity lol.

They offer the curated box for purchase, so you can buy that AND have them send you a box with random, personalized samples. This is what I usually do if I’m digging the curated box. In my experience, their “no choice” boxes are tons better than their sample choice boxes. I’ve found some great HGs in those, BUT sometimes that curated box is too good to pass up! (The curated is only $10 in the shop if you’re a subscriber.)

Newbie! Can someone tell me the difference in boxes? I see the option to pick or be surprised and then I see a box for $15/you can get for $10.. help!

The box you see for both $15 & $10 is the curated box you can purchase separate from a subscription. If you’re a current subscriber you can purchase the curated box for $10, but if you’re not a current subscriber the curated box will cost you $15.

You have the option to pick one of the sample options and let them pick the rest or you can pick the curated box and know everything that’s in it.

Curated box looks good and I could use every item.

This is my first box (I signed up with the Wander promo to get the Wander lipstick duo a few days ago – it has good reviews and the shades look nice!)

I picked the Winky Lux highlighter. I don’t need another highlighter, but I got a Winky Lux eyeshadow in my Ipsy bag that I really liked. The pink cream looks like it might be good for an eye highlighter as well for center lid and inner corner. It has good reviews online as well.

I can’t choose until tomorrow (sigh) but I’m hoping to select the Davines heat protectant spray. I love their hair products, and a little seems to go a long way!

I went with winky lux highlighter…this is my second box, so I can’t wait to see the other 4 items…

I went with the Winky Lux highlighter!
Would have chosen the curated box but received the ittse eyeshadow in my Sept. box and received the Sand & Sky from their latest Limited Edition Box.
What did the rest of you pick?

I haven’t subbed for awhile but just signed up for 3 months to get the Wander lipstick and because the October curated box looked pretty good to me. So I got the curated. I also picked up the September curated box (from the shop) so I guess I’ve been liking their choices a bit better lately.

I’m going with the curated box, even though I also received the ittse shadow in my Sept. box. I really do like it, so I guess I’ll have a backup. Everything else looks good so at least I’m guaranteed to have all useful items!

I ended up choosing the Winky Lux highlighter. Only reason I didn’t go for the curated is because I received the Ittse eyeshadow in my Sept. box and received the Sand & Sky from their latest Limited Edition Box.

What did everyone else choose?
