I would like to say I love this box! I still haven’t received my August box. I got my 1st box in July and thought it was awesome, but for $ reasons tried to cancel. They offered a discount for the next 3 or 4 months. I’ve emailed them 3 times and they always respond with so sorry it’ll ship this week. Now it’s almost time to get charged for September. Anyone else having this issue?

I love Allure,I am able to try out many skincare and makeup brands I would never purchase on my own. Even if the products are deluxe samples the value is always way more than the $15 I pay per month.

I went for it. the next 3 months look great! I dropped boxycharm in the spring and I’ve been considering this for a while/

Paula

I get this box for $10 A month because I canceled (unsuccessfully.. .lol).

Both the Sept and Oct boxes are AWESOME value!!! I’m impressed!

I think I should be canceling my Macy’s box instead…

I was hoping to get this cleanser in a full size (Too high expectations lol), but I’m happy with the box, and the high brands launched. I can’t complain about it, we are just paying $15.

Has anyone been charged for their Allure box? I haven’t yet

Jennifer

Just got charged today for the September box ! Can’t wait!!

Danielle

I was charged about 5 minutes ago. I’ve been a subscriber for a while and I usually get charged between the 10th and the 18th of the month.

Laura

No yet.

Dang, I was hoping for a full sized skin care item. Now I’m just hoping it’s not a full sized lipstick again. I appreciate the brand names and fancy items, but c’mon Allure, if you’re not going to keep sending full sized items regularly then don’t send them almost every month and then just stop. Learn from the mistake that other subs have made (looking at you Ricky’s).

Jamie, reminder – its a 15USD box.

Okay, since I am an expert on Ceramic Slip, that cleanser will last two weeks for 2 uses a day. Remember to shake it up before you use it and you only need a dime sized dollop.

I really wanted full size because I am out and having a financial crunch but guess I’ll just suck it up.

Also, Barneys always has the full size for $35.

Sarah

Has anybody been billed yet this month?

Reply ButtonReply

Jamie

I usually get billed on either the 8th, 9th or 11th. Hope that helps!

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah

Same here. Just wondered. Seems like Allure runs late when there’s a holiday at the beginning of the month.

Pib

They bill on the 10th normally I believe

I’m happy to get skincare and the other items will end up in my daughter’s hands at Christmas. Unless I love the lip stain. However, I agree with some others on Allure’s claims of the value of some items here. BS!

Reply ButtonReply

Mel

So I’m going to call BS on their “value” they’re listing the Good Genes for.

Sephora sells this Flash Fix kit of the Good Genes and Ceramic Slip for 28.00. That kit comes with Ceramic Slip in 30ml, same size we’re getting, and 8ml of Good Genes. I’m happy to get more Good Genes, but let’s not call it a 28.30 value for both, when I can go to Sephora right this minute, and get both in a kit, for 28.00 with more product.

If they only want to send 5ml, that’s fine, it’s still more than what I’m paying for the box in total and I’m not greedy, but let’s not inflate, either.

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

Rv is always the value for the stand alone product (adjusted for product size) – not what it is in another companies package deal or on sale.

Reply ButtonReply

Kimberlee Ryan

That kit is only $28 but the value of the items inside is $40. I do agree that the prices are probably higher then they really are but it’s probably because they are calculating them off of value. (If that makes sense) i have always questioned the prices they give these items.

Reply ButtonReply

Jill M

Again, MSA lists those price values. Not Allure…this box is $15! If anyone expects full size Sunday Riley for that, then thats insanity! The value of the box is more than covered as always. One can’t expect sooo much from a sub box! This world is way too spoiled! Also, It’s very smart to know exactly what one is commenting on and about when placing a comment. Just because something is not exactly what was wanted, these companies get bashed on a daily basis for no good reason, and it’s not right. Most of them provide a service and great products to us at a very reasonable cost, and I don’t think you will find it cheaper elsewhere. Congrats to anyone that can! There is an option to cancel and try to if ones not happy with the box. This comment is not directed towards any one person either. It’s just a compilation of what I’ve been reading lately and I think it’s time to get back to a place in this world where people can be happy again. There’s no reason for all the complaints all the time and horrible commenting that social media and reviews have brought upon this world the past 20 years or so. “Can’t we all just get along?” Beauty is not just on the outside. It’s also on the inside and what we portray about our personalities. Sorry for the rant, but I feel very strongly about this.

Reply ButtonReply

Oma

Mmmm hmmm… Talk about a reflection of someone’s personality??? Wow.

Debbie

☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻☝🏻 👏👏👏 yes! I second this.

Liz Cadman

Hi Mel,

Sorry for any confusion. Those values were calculated by me, the same way I do all value calculations – by using the price per ounce of the standard size. (I was not aware of the kit you mentioned.)

Anyway – just wanted to let you know that’s on me and not Allure! 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Gidget

I totally agree with you on that one. This is not the 1st time they’ve claimed something they’ sending is worth a higher value than it really is. I’m still a little salty over them playing favorites with the bauble bar earrings as extra gifts for special customers.

Reply ButtonReply

Jill M

I disagree because I dont think its Allure putting those prices and the earrings were a one year anniversary gift for loyal subscribers. Also, I think its great they remember the long time subscribers instead of just the people that sign up for a box to get a free gift and then cancel on them. Oh yeah, I’ve only been a subscriber for 3 months just in case anyone thinks I’m being bias.

Kristin

I believe the earrings were more like an anniversary gift, similar to what Sundae Home did this month.

Emilia

Here we go again: you can’t alter the size of your pores!

Reply ButtonReply

Denise

It’s how they word it. It”visibly” reduces the size. Meaning they look smaller. That’s how they doublespeak. Then people scream when they don’t shrink lol

Reply ButtonReply

Rosette

I guess next month is all small sample or deluxe samples? I really thought the full sized one would be the one of the Sunday Riley’s lol
Probably the same size for the Hourglass that Ipsy gave out then a mini YSL?

Reply ButtonReply

Mimi

I’m wondering the same thing. I suppose the extra $5 is worth it (?) to not play roulette like ipsy. If I like the bkr balm, etc, I’m guaranteed to get it instead of hoping i get the variation with it. I don’t see myself being loyal to allure (just purchase the months i like) but when the month’s box is good, credit is due

Reply ButtonReply

Tara

I’m curious if they will have a full size this month! That leaves the hourglass mascara and the lip stain

Reply ButtonReply

Charlotte

I’m hoping the lip stain is full size; I’ve been wanting to try it FOREVER.

Reply ButtonReply

Jamie

I hope not! We are already getting a full sized lipstick for September and it’s a 50/50 chance of that one being red. We can only go through so many lipsticks so fast.
