I’ve been signed up for over a year and didn’t get this email. How do you redeem for the makeover?

Hey Liz – will it be an info card redeemable in store that comes with the box, or do we just schedule a makeover? Confused about how this works!

Seems a bit unfair that you have to have been subbed for 6 months
It’s a good thing I zero interest as it is 😁

I actually enjoy the custom make-overs. I’m VIB Rouge and get free custom make-overs anyway. I try to get a few custom make-overs during the year. It is a great way to try new products. I hope there is a certificate or something so I can give it to my daughter to use.

This is disappointing! The nearest Sephora to me is a little over two hours away. So now I miss out on the loyalty gift PLUS the extra points in the monthly bag (except for one month when they lifted the in-store requirement). I understand that they feel people will make a purchase if you can get them to actually come into the store. That is so not true for me!!! If I could get points I would be on their site a lot more and would browse through the sale and/or new items. I almost always order something even if I’m just casually purusing their site. Oh well, this just secures Sephora a bottom spot in my beauty box subs. I will keep Beauty Fix, Boxycharm, Allure and Ipsy. I’m afraid Sephora will now go the way of my Macy’s sub. BTW, Sephora….you have been sorely lacking lately in the sample department. I never get the samples that I request and sometimes I don’t get any samples at all. Why don’t you just say that every purchase comes with three random surprise samples??

I don’t have a real Sephora within 2 hours of where I live and the one inside the JCP 45 mins away is a NIGHTMARE. The girls, yes girls, working there are not nice. When I tried to make a return they nearly refused to accept it and blamed me in every way possible for the problems I had with the product. I’ll never set foot in there again.

Oh, heck no! I have absolutely no interest in having a teenager working at Sephora give me any kind of “makeover”. I only did it once and regretted it. The worst part is that she felt like she really needed to pencil in my natural, dark brows. She insisted that it would actually make my brows look more natural because it would be less contrast between my light skin and dark hair in my eyebrows, but she ended up using a really dark color that looked so phony and felt like Joan Crawford on a bad makeup day. I had to walk out of the mall looking like a clown and skipped errands to go home and wash my face. NEVER AGAIN. This is not a perk. Just send us an extra item or give us extra Insider points, please!

Christine

How is this a perk? They don’t sanitize the makeup that much prior to putting it on you.

Will this work at a JCP Sephora?

I’ll reach out to my rep at Sephora and ask!

Hi Liz, How does this work? You just go there and they’ll do the makeover?

DL

A bit bummed that this is the bonus for members over 6 months. I’ve been VIB Rouge for years and have never once redeemed for the free makeovers it comes with.

Yep I’m Rouge in Canada too and won’t do any of the makeovers. My daughter even refuses to ask them questions when we go into the store! But when you know a LOT about makeup, I guess it’s pointless!

Rouge members should really get better perks…

Has anyone ever done a makeover there w their own makeup so they dont get a disease?

Omg, too funny. I had a terrible experience at a Sephora store to the point where it was bugging me days later and sent an email to the store manager. She responded apologizing and asked if I would like to come in for a free custom make over. Only thought is how there is no way those dirty testers are going on my face.

True story. Many many years ago I got contact dermatitis from an under eye concealer the salesperson assaulted me with at Bloomingdales.
