Thanks for the feedback everyone. We start shipping the August collection this week and we have fewer than a dozen left! If you’re on the fence … time to jump in with the MSA discount code ($10 off). For the budget conscious, the coupon reduces the price of your first box to $39. The August collection has a value of just under $105.00. Come join us!

Maybe a skip option could help people who wanted the box quarterly or every other month take the plunge on this box at a rate that is comfortable for them?

beth

Yes! If you contact us, we can set a skip for you, easy peasy. Thank you for pointing that out!

I love this box! I’ve cut down on my other subs because I think this one is so much more unique with higher quality items. I agree I am beginning to accumulate so much stuff but if the items are different and useful I’m ok with that. Most of CA found items also make excellent gifts! I’m afraid if the price was lowered too much, the quality of items would go down too. I don’t want another box of mass produced junk.

Hi All! Thanks for the ongoing feedback. It really helps as we continue to grow and refine the California Found offering. With regard to price, value, frequency … are you saying:

– you’d prefer a lower price point with fewer items monthly
– you’d prefer the same number of items but with less frequency, price point is fair
– you don’t see $49 of value in the contents (our promised retail value is $90 or more, but we’ve always been higher).

Perhaps it’s time for a customer survey! Any further thoughts would be awesome!

I love your boxes but would also love a quarterly opti on.

Don’t change a thing! I think you are perfect. I would be sad if you went to bi-monthly.

Thank you, Sunshine. We have no plans to change to bi-monthly or quarterly, but will consider *adding* that option. I think you’re perfect too. 🙂

Love, love the bracelet!! Beth, you have really been knocking it out of the park!! I may be the minority here on this forum, but I think the price point is more than fair in regards to the quality of the artisans and items featured. I have actually made further purchases from some in which customer service has been excellent with all. I would be perfectly fine in continuing to pay monthly as long as the quality continues. And honestly, the boxes seem to only be getting better. This box definitely speaks to me as far as style and vibe. I’ve loved just about everything and I would definitely prefer to get locally made, unusual items than bulk scarves, bags, and jewelry that is made in China, and frankly can be kinda gaudy. I’m happy that this is more of a lifestyle box as I get my skincare and makeup from other boxes. Even the snacks have been great!! I have an order on the way from Vive from the last box. All in all, this is just my opinion, but Beth, again, keep it up. No matter if you stay monthly, go bi-monthly, or seasonally, I will always continue to subscribe. Also, it’s super easy to skip a month if I’ve accumulated too much stuff.

Thanks Ashley! (and I hope you’re not in the minority!!) 🙂 I’m delighted to hear that you’ve made additional purchases from our artisan partners!

Keep the comments and feedback coming!

This is a GREAT box. But, like others have said, every other month would be great!

I agree for the quarterly or every other month. If it changed to that, I would resubscribe. I used to subscribe and loved it, but just too much stuff.

This is my favorite sub. I have been having fun with subscription boxes for a few years now and at one point I was subbing to 20+ boxes. Needless to say, at some point I had way too much of everything so I have gradually cut down the number of subs I get. I now have 2 subscription boxes and California Found is one of them…my favorite one.

I’d be happier if it were quarterly or even every other month. Monthly ends up just being too much stuff for me.

I’ve liked seeing the reviews of this box over the past several months. And I do like this spoiler, but the price point of the box is too much IMO. I think if it were more in the 30-35 dollar range, they would get me to sub.

If it fits in your budget, I would give it a shot for a month so you can experience it for yourself. It’s truly worth the price point. The quality is consistently outstanding. All from small batch brands or individual makers. No mass-market brands or same-old, ho-hum stuff. Just my two cents. (lol)

Thanks, Amy. We work really hard to deliver value in every collection that exceeds are promised $90. So far, we’ve hit that mark in every collection (we’re on our 10th). No mass market stuff here – I curate every piece and get to know each artisan personally. The vast majority of our partners happen to be women-owned businesses as well – which we love. Your two cents is invaluable! Keep it coming!

Kristin

The price has kept me from signing up too.
