I am done with Birchbox. I’ve tried all their box choices and I get a lot of stuff I neither want nor use.

October will be my last box.

The first box don’t seem to have any sample choice item in it. If you don’t choose, is there a chance Birchbox will send you random items ala ipsy?

No. If you pick that box the curated box you don’t get to pick a sample you just get the items that they showed the Stila lip gloss…primer… if you decide to pick between the Chapstick or the face moisturizer Birchbox pics the rest based on your beauty profile💌 hope that helps!😀

I mean the first box pictured is not the curated box. It don’t have either the arrow balm, oribe spray, or the avene lotion in it. Is it possible to get a totally random box?

Michelle

I always let them pick my box unless I love the sample choice. I’m not crazy about Good Genes because it contains a lot of silicone. Anything you apply after Good Genes can’t make it onto your skin barrier it just sits on top of the product. That’s why they tell you to apply the Luna then the Good Genes as your last step when normally a lactic or exfoliating acid would come first. I’ve waisted a lot of skincare before I found out about the silicone 🙁

Yeah Sunday Riley just needs to go away and never come back..I’m always shocked by the terrible ingredients.

I chose the curated box and so far have no regrets.

Irritating that the curated box has something sampled last month (no pore-blem primer).
None of the samples interest me, so I don’t want to start with something I don’t like AND take a risk on everything else.

I like Good Genes and I’ve always wanted to try thisworks – even though I have my own collection of essential oils – so I’m going with curated. So now I have to find a home for that primer from last month’s box and this one’s.

I went with the curated box as the lesser evil.
