Doggone it, everything in this months’ box is a no-win for me. ANOTHER pair of false eyelashes? I think this is the fourth pair I’ve received in sub boxes recently, and I dont wear them. Not in Real Life anyway. Nice that they included the glue, so I can include that if I end up selling them on eBay with the other pairs. The red lipstick is the one color (other than brown) that I never, ever wear. I’ve sampled the Drunk Elephant Sukari Babyfacial before and it burned my skin like mad, and I had to wash it off within a minute or two. I was thinking after seeing these first three spoilers that if only they’d spoil a dry shampoo or hair product, a highlighter or bronzer, or a mascara or mascara primer, then I would just toss the whole box into my GoodWill “donate” box” without even opening it. Now I see – ta-daaaa ~ a coconut oil gel for hair. Hmmmmm….. will Allure now drop in that dreaded highlighter, bronzer, mascara or lash primer I’ve been hoping not to get? It’s the last box on my yearly sub, and I’m kind of wishing that August had been my last box. I really dont want any of this stuff. Is this how Sub Box burnout starts….. or ends?

On the other hand, I am dying to get the Fall Margot Elena box next month. It’ll be my third and they have been FABULOUS, and everything in them is a win-win-win!! So luxe and beautifully packaged, and a real delight to debox and use!

I am right there with you!

I buy both those lashes and glue already and they’re great!!! The lashes are so pretty and full but not too dramatic. I trim mine a little from the inside. The glue is white and you’ll see it on you as a white pearl color BUT when it dries it’s completely clear. I always make sure to use plenty on the outter part of the lashes so they don’t lift. The glue is pretty easy to use, make sure to let it have some dry time (30 seconds-ish) get tacky so they stick. I’m really excited for this box!!

I’m probably going to trade my lashes, I just don’t see myself wearing them. But I have got to give credit to Allure for including the adhesive! While it seems obvious that lash glue should be included with lashes, I don’t believe any other sub has done this! Good job Allure!

Hooray! The box with lashes is finally coming with adhesive!!

Wait, how long have people been asking for that?

I hope the lash glue is CLEAR. I have tried false lashes only twice. I received “natural” lashes in another sample box, ones that did not require trimming. They were very nice and blended really well with my lashes. They didn’t look ridiculous or feel uncomfortable at all…I actually forgot I even had them on. I decided to try them one day, to experiment, and used a clear glue and I was able to place and and glue them on my lashline and glue them successfully my very first time! and I wore them to Trivia night at the bar. They didn’t fall off or get loose, and were easy to remove at the end of the night. 🙂 The second time I tried MAC black glue and I had a hell of a mess! So I’ve stayed away from the false lashes ever since. Prior to wearing them I watched a lot of tutorials, but you will only find the technique that works for you by actually practicing. So don’t wait to try them on the actual day/evening of a special event…try them on a day before running errands. And take your glue with you, just in case they loosen up. I look forward to trying lashes again, and yes its fantastic allure is including glue…I only hope the glue is CLEAR!

Probably white but dries clear, but just guessing

I wear the Tarte lashes and use the glue daily. They are my go to. The style Goddess are my faves right now. So, I am incredibly excited about next months box!! I just received August’s box today. It was ok.. I’ll get use out of everything. But the shampoo has an odd scent to it. Hopefully it won’t linger too long.

Awesome! When I saw the lashes in the other spoiler, I put lash adhesive on my list but now I don’t have to.

Could someone tell me how soon does Allure ship the box if I sign up today? I understand that I’ll be getting an August box but I’m just curious about their shipping schedule. Thank you 😊

Reply ButtonReply

Barbara

For some reason first box usually takes a while to ship. It gets better with second box. My guess is you would get August and September box few days apart.

Reply ButtonReply

Juliya

Thank you so much, Barbara! I got worried after reading comments on other post where people were complaining about not getting the tracking numbers, and other shipping issues. 🙁

Bonnie

Here’s hoping I get the pink lipstick. There just seem to be so many reds coming out and I’m not a red lips every day kind of girl. I do have a smaller version of Ruby Woo already as well though, and as reds go, it’s pretty nice.

Super excited for this box. I almost bought lash glue yesterday, glad I didn’t! Thinking Ipsy and Sephora Play should step up their game to keep up with Allure.

Lol I can’t stop laughing! I FINALLY went and bought lash glue 2 days ago to try all the lashes I have accumulated and had no use for. Then…then one of these boxes are kin enough to include lash glue. Lol, I would obviously be more excited had I not already bought some, but seriously this is a great curation. Kudos to Allure for getting it right.

Nika

Same Here … have 4 different sets of lashes and no glue (I believe, they should come with a small tube just like fake nails). Got one from Kiss brand for 2 bucks! Now, will have a pricier one from tarte …
time to learn how to put my lashes on!

Mimi

I’m still going to the dollar store to get some cheap lashes and glue to practice with. I have zero experience putting falsies on. I can watch youtube videos all day but i ain’t gonna learn til I try it myself.

Kudos to Allure for thinking about this though. Makes me feel a little better slugging it out with the so-so August box

Aweeee…I was about to do the same exact thing! I held out though, and I can wait another month to get this glue. I have some really great lashes that I’ve gotten over the past few months from subs. I’ve never used lashes, but hey….why not give them a try? I think Allure is going to be awesome the next few months! I can’t wait to see what is in the December special edition collaboration box!!

When can I sign up to get the September box. I don’t want the August box.

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

I’d wait until September 1st. I don’t think they’re going to run out of August early.

Reply ButtonReply

sylvia

Thank you – yea- August isn’t too thrilling –

Dorothy

I don’t suppose there is a way to increase my chances of getting the pink lipstick instead of the red?

Reply ButtonReply

Kari

I want the red! Want to swap if it comes up?

Reply ButtonReply

Christine

I think Allure is the first subscription box to actually include eyelash glue with lashes . . . and latex-free, no less. Now there are no excuses. 🙂

Reply ButtonReply

Finally, a subscription box thought to include glue. I keep getting eyelashes but don’t bother to try them since I don’t have glue. I may actually try it out now. Thanks.

Reply ButtonReply

Rosette

First glance I went, “Ugh” then I realized that maybe a huge thing of glue would be more useful than the little tube that comes with other lashes lol

Reply ButtonReply

Susan

Finally! A discovery box that understands lashes are a two-part process. One does not simply stick lashes to one’s face. (I’m talking to you, Boxy!) I don’t even WEAR lashes, and I’m thrilled with this curation. Having all the pieces makes it easy for me to try this out. Great job, Allure!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Heather P

I was totally going to skip this box, but as someone with a latex allergy, it’s really hard to find latex-free lash glue. Well guess what? Both the lashes & the glue are latex-free! YAY!!!!!! And Allure you just reeled me back in!

Reply ButtonReply

Kari

Wow! Just subscribed! Gonna pull the plug on Boxy. It was fun but for $10 this is a deal!

Reply ButtonReply

Susan

Allure is killing it! And to think I almost dropped them a couple months back (the KVD box did nothing for me).
I LOVE the idea of mask month!

Reply ButtonReply

Lawna

Finally a sub box that includes adhesive with the lasjes. Kudos to Allure. I am excited abput next months box. Shoot, all the spoilers for the rest of the year look awesome!!

BRAVA…now THIS is great curation! How many times have I gotten lashes from a beauty box but never an adhesive? Far too many….and it seems that Allure is sensitive to just that issue. Man, this is dedication…thank you ALLURE!

💋

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

Yay, finally a subscription is going to send adhesive to go with the lashes!

Reply ButtonReply

Jennyjenny

Wow bars awesome. While I don’t remember the last time I wore lashes, I think I’d be more likely to try now that they are including glue! Maybe I’ll put them on for a fancy run to the grocery store, or kindergarten drop off lol

Barbara

jennyjenny: I think I might love you 💖

Reply ButtonReply

Jennyjenny

Haha. Interesting typo on my part. Since leaving my job and moving back to America in December, having my second in February…my reasons to get “fancy” are far and few between!
Man I wish you could put pictures in the comments here!

Cady

Wow that’s awesome they’re including lash glue for the lashes!
