Ipsy May 2018 Glam Bag Reveal + Spoilers!

LOVE the retro travel look of the bag!

If I don’t get one of those gorgeous teal eyeshadows I am going to CRY!! and cancel my subscription. Those are the first makeup products I have seen since I subscribed that I actually really want!! I have all my preferences set to “adventurous” colors (and greens), even my hair is set to “other” because it is BRIGHT GREEN, and I have been getting nothing but nude eyeshadows and natural lip shades that I keep having to give away because I will never wear them.

I wish there was a better multi-brand subscription box out there for those of us who like color and glitter and fun, artistic makeup.

At least Ipsy still HAS makeup, unlike the Sephora Play and Allure boxes I keep getting. It just sucks that with all the algorithms and technology and money these companies have they can’t do a little bit better with personalization?

Not very impressed. I stopped my Birchbox for Ipsy. 🙁 So it appears that I am getting nothing I hoped for.

Not that I want to be ungrateful, but I listed myself as adventurous, and the lip cream and eyeshadow are definitely not adventurous! I have no less than 5 Eyeko Eyeliners, and I am super picky about what goes in my hair.
I am excited about trying the blending brush, so there is an upside! The bag is cute too 🙂

Has anyone every tried the bronzer? If so is it good. Can’t decide if I want that or the tarte.

The bag is typique Français, j’adore !!! i hope to get the tarte powder, the 111 skin mask, the Ofra lipstick, the huda contour liner … and the toner, mascara and the huda faux cil are good too …

Shoot, can I just get, like…all of the eyeshadows instead? (maybe not the basic blue, but even the mermaid teal looks great, and both the golds look great, and that dusky rose…)

Hate all the lip colors, hope I don’t wind up with another disappointingly dull lippie.

The blur stick looks interesting. The fake lashes look like a nightmare (I will scream if I get that nonsense in my bag, I don’t even like mascara).

Everything else is kinda…meh.

I usually like lippies, but not a fan of last NYX matte lippie so hopefully this one is less drying, would have loved to try the Huda or Lord and Berry. I think I also got the Elizabeth Mott shadow before as well but in a different color.

Overall, it’s a good mix of items but would have liked to try different brands.

According to Ipsy hacks I have seen a pink beauty blender is also featured this month. I hope I do not get that!! I am seeing NYX lippies, Elizabeth Mott eyeshadow, blur stick, face mist, and tarte finishing powder as most common item found in bags. I have not seen lashes which does not surprise me they are $18. I did see a few lip liners though.

I’d love for the DERMA E Radiance Toner – as I have a few Derma E items that I absolutely love. If you’re ever looking for a ‘real’ microdermabrasion scrub for your face I’d recommend Derma E – though for sensitive skin it can feel like glass on the face if you scrub to hard!!. ;o

The blue eyeshadows would be love too – as well for the sheet mask (Simple and easy trial) – or the nail polish. <3

Oooooo!!! I love the bag! Usually I could care less about the bag but I’m a huge fan of retro travel stamps so I love it! I would love to get the Elizabeth Mott shadow in Mermaid Teal and the blue polish and lots of COLOR this month!!!

I’m not a fan of the bag design. Happy I skipped.

I like the idea of picking out a dream bag!
I’d choose the facial mist, purple nail polish, mini matte blur stick, Derma E tonier, and Nomad eyeshadow in pretty blue.

I am praying for those Huda lashes, I can’t unsubscribe since they started offering Huda Beauty items.

Love the bag design! And I hope I get that Nelson mask or that First Aid serum.

I am really hoping to get one of the bright eyeshadow shades. I’ve tried Elizabeth Mott shadows in the past, & I do like the texture. I also said “yes” to the Nomad shadow (though it was pictured in a different shade) via the Improve your Glambag feature, hoping that they’d be sending a brighter color, too.

I’d love to try the Trestique balm & see how it compares to the Milk blur stick.
