Enchantment Box “Pink & Palms” May 2018 Review

Here is the info sheet on the items in the box, along with coupons for the brands included.

Little Arrow Monstera Leaves Stud Earrings -

Little Arrow Monstera Leaves Stud Earrings - Retail Value $15

These are some of the most adorable stud earrings out there, and they are perfect for wearing all summer! These enamel earrings are plated with 22k gold and are super light and comfortable to wear. I wish I had a beach vacation coming up so I could rock these while sitting on the beach drinking out of a coconut!

Pink Flamingo Drink Float

Pink Flamingo Drink Float - Listed Value $3.75 (buy a similar pack of three for $9.99 here)

Floats like these are super trendy, and I know they’ve made appearances in other subscription boxes. This is my first pool floaty, however, and I am smitten! I had this blown up completely with two breaths, and I may bring this into my bath tonight for some flamingo fun.

Rescue Bar Cocoa Cookie Bar, 5 oz

Rescue Bar Cocoa Cookie Bar, 5 oz - Retail Value $4

This is an organic and vegan snack bar designed to come to the rescue when the hunger (or hanger) pains strike! This packs 10 grams of protein and only 10 grams of sugar, which I think is a fair amount considering that this snack bar could satisfy a sweet tooth while calming the hanger within. This 5 oz size is super generous, too! I took a bite for test purposes (and I liked it), and I’m going to eat the rest tomorrow as my morning snack between breakfast and lunch.

Galexie Glister in Palm Dreams, .5 oz - Listed Value $12

Find me a festival to go to because I am so ready with this gel cosmetic glitter. This is a custom color combination for the box, but all other jars retail for $12. This is so fun for dramatic glitter face and hair applications, but it washes off easily too. My only complaint is I wish the glitter was more densely packed!

New Orleans Yoga Apparel Koa-Ban in Pink & Palms

New Orleans Yoga Apparel Koa-Ban in Pink & Palms - Listed Value $12

This headwrap confused me a little— the info sheet said that this came from the New Orleans Yoga Apparel company, but I couldn't find head wraps on the website (they do have some awesome yoga pants in the same pattern, however). It wasn't until I was going through my photos that I realized that there was a website on the packaging, and that website led me to find other head wraps (which is great, because I was going to be heartbroken if I couldn't buy more), but none in this style. Maybe the two companies are owned by the same group? I am not sure. All of that aside, I absolutely love this yoga head wrap! This is a comfortable headband, but I have discovered it is actually the most comfortable hair tie to hold my hair up in a bun I’ve ever used. I wrapped it around my hair three times, and my hair hasn’t escaped but there’s no tightness or pulling on my scalp. Plus, these are made just an hour south of me out of recycled plastic bottles in New Orleans!

Here I am wearing the glitter with the head wrap around my head.

And here I am using the head wrap as a ponytail holder.

NCLA Nail Wraps in Wallpaper Goals

NCLA Nail Wraps in Wallpaper Goals - Retail Value $16

I once had an unfortunate incident involving my finger getting stuck between the mixing hands on an electric mixer, and it resulted in the death of one of my nails. The acrylic had to come off while my nail healed, and I used these NCLA wraps for fun nail art during that time. I love how these match the earrings perfectly, and I think they are so neat. Application-wise I’ve had some difficulty, however, since my nails are pointy and not squared or rounded. I have more wrinkles than normal, and the wrap on my thumb keeps wanting to peel back. These are so cute I’m going to try and top coat them to death in order to keep them on!

Beverly to 5th Island Coconut Coffee Scrub, 7 oz - Retail Value $19.99

This smells luscious and provided a gentle exfoliation while Also hydrating my skin. I love that every ingredient in this scrub is something I know and pronounce, and most ingredients are ones you will find in your pantry! This 7 oz bag has a lot of heft, so I will be smelling good for the foreseeable future. I think this would be a great pick-me-up in the morning when I’m showering and half asleep.

The Verdict: I have been subscribing to various boxes for the past 4 years, and I have read almost every subscription box review MSA has posted. With that being said, I think this is one of the best curated boxes on the market. This is the second month in a row where everything fits the theme perfectly without feeling like “filler” item. I continue to be enchanted with the Enchantment Box, and I can’t wait to see what the June box will bring (it is Alice in Wonderland themed!) Value-wise, I calculated a total value of $82.74, which meets their promise of having at least $75 in value in the box.

To Wrap Up:

Can you get this box if you still sign up today? I believe you will start with the June box, but if you really want this box I recommend reaching out and seeing if any boxes are left!

Value Breakdown: This box cost $57.90 ($49.95 + $7.95 shipping)  and I calculated a value of $82.74 which means you are paying approximately the following per item:

  • Earrings: $10.50
  • Flamingo Drink Float: $2.62
  • Rescue Bar: $2.80
  • Galexie Glister: $8.40
  • Head Wrap: $8.40

Great review and you look adorbs in the photo! But this seems really expensive to me. I could get all this stuff for TJ Maxx + CVS for so much less.

Thanks for the review but I think $60 is a bit pricey for what you get, will be following though.
