I was soooo bummed when I opened my curated box today. I didn’t pay close enough attention when I chose it and thought I was getting an actual beauty blender. I have used the beauty protector before and loved it, so a part of me had a hard time passing it up, but I really wanted to finally try a beauty blender. When I discovered it was just a little “foam sampler” that I can’t really use (maybe for concealer?) I really regretted not selecting the BP 🙁 Not really excited about the other products in the curated box either, only picked it for the beauty blender, but Red Earth water cream might be nice since I tend to enjoy gel moisturizers. Oh well, live and learn, hopefully next month will make up for it.

You are so right Sara!! Omgosh I had cancelled my box in Dec after we received our boxes, I really enjoy the eye lash curler they gave us for Christmas lol!! The only thing they have going for them this month is the box itself. I really loved just the boxes themselves, they are so stinken cute!! I had a hard time canceling but I couldn’t justify spending the $10 for just a box, even with those tiny a$$ little samples that’s what it seemed like we were getting just a plain ole box!! I did the math and that’s $120 bucks for the year, that’s at least 6 months of Boxycharm and with them we are getting FULL SIZED products. It makes so much more sense than a tiny little box lol, as I was writing it I’m thinking jeeze even the box was tiny lol. I tell you one thing they had to have been losing money though with all the free products I was getting, they could never get there act str8, every time I ordered from the shop my orders were always wrong, I’m talking they’d send me things I never ordered and NOT send me the things I did actually order!! I just finally pulled the plug on them and figured I wasn’t receiving what I ordered anyway so there was no love loss when I did finally cancel. That BP they have as a sample I did receive as a sample and I liked it so I bought the full sized they sent me the right product that time, but when I ordered something else they sent me that BP again as a set with the hair towel wrap thingy so they told me to keep it they didn’t want it back and they will send my original order!! That happened a few times, it’s nice to get extras but I just wanted what I ordered not the other crap ya know, it gets old not to get what you ordered.

Honestly I get alot of subscription boxes and this month Birchbox and allure were my favorites! It even beat glossy and boxy in my opinion. I get two BBs a month and I haven’t gotten the same products and I received all products I have never tried before! Love my Birchboxes 💓

I signed back up just to be able to select the beauty protector. It’s my favorite product discovery from Birchbox, and I need a (new) travel size– I foolishly tossed the last sample bottle since I’d purchased the full size. They used to sell a mini in in the shop by itself but no more, and there weren’t any on eBay at a price I was willing to pay the last time I checked. LOL. So I’m looking forward to getting my new BP bottle even if I don’t like any of the other samples (which will probably be TokyoMilk perfume, another mascara, something from acure/balanceme/clarins, and another Amika hair product).

Glad I canceled last month.
So in addition to the 2 Beauty Protector items I got last month, it’s one of the 3 I can choose the following month? Nope. BP is nice, but come on. Also, I got tired of never getting any of the good items they’d show as possible samples. I’d hope for something cool but get old inventory and more Briogeo 🙄.

I just had to purchase the curated box even though I’m no longer a BB subscriber. I’ve been wanting to try anything from Red Earth for a while, and I can never say no to anything from Davines. 🙂
