Ipsy Reveals Are Up for the April 2018 Glam Bag!

New point rewards I am getting lip scrub and maybe eyeshadow.

I just got my first IPSY. I keep having to remind myself it was just $10. I got an eye brush, a liquid liner that is full size and has a star stamp, a leave in conditioner I haven’t tried yet, an eye shadow with good pigmentation, and a small clay mask I’m not complaining because it’s $10. But I think Ipsy is not for me, I will see what next month offers, but I think there are just better deals out there. For me, anyway.

it’s sad that it takes an irate email to Ipsy for them to send a well put together glam bag with 2 full size items. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the bag design. It’s perfect for the spring

Does anyone know if the ‘weighing in at’ on the reduction details page is always correct? It seems to be, cause if you look at say, a hair treatment it will say weighing in at 20 ml, and the full size in the shop will say 250ml. I only question it, because it looks like forof my items in one of my bags are full size! (Well, really three, cause one is a brush): ciate fierce flicks, trust fund beauty liquid highlighter, and merch and Mia loose shadow. If so, wow!

It would have been nice to get a different brush instead of another one for eyes…same thing with the eye shadow. Would really like to get a lip or blush…something with color in it. At my age, I really don’t need the star stamps LOL…but will give it to my daughter. All in all tho, I’m pretty happy with this bag. I can use everything in it, including the Starstruck if I use only the liner part. But I think my daughter would have fun with this one, so I’ll give it to her. I’m just glad I didn’t get the tweezers…hahaha 😉

A black liner I’m actually very happy I got. The star stamp has the potential to be lots of fun!

MEECH AND MIA Loose Eyeshadow in Copper
Could have done without this. Messy loose pigment, and yet another copper, which I’m sick of getting. Would have liked one of the highlights instead.

REALHER Moisturizing Lipstick in Girl Power
Would have preferred the gloss or a balm, or a brighter color, but I am happy they didn’t send a liquid lip or a matte again, so overall pretty happy!

Super happy for this! I love this brands hand creams!

TRISSOLA Leave-in Conditioner
I do love leave in conditioners, but at the same time I’m on a bit of overload haha.

Overall a pretty good bag. I do wish the eyeshadow and lipstick weren’t the same colors I always get, but 3.5/5 good products is overall a good bag to me!

Wow, I’m getting a great bag for my preferences, and all but one item is full sized, and the one that isn’t is something I really wanted, even in a sample. I’m getting:
PRETTY WOMAN Nail Polish in Girl Boss (have bought others by this brand and liked them a lot!)
TRIFLE Sugar Bunny Lip Scrub (I will totally use this!)
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (hoping for a color that works well on me, but always excited to try a brand I know I can afford to see if I like it enough for more colors)
LUNA BY LUNA Eyeshadow in Selene or Spiced Pumpkin (I bought a combo pack of this brand a while back and love them. Hoping for the pumpkin because it’s different than the others, but the selene would be a good color for me too)

New items available for points! I’m thinking about getting the PureHeals Propolis 80 cream but I’m not sure. I’ve been eyeing up the EVA NYC curl cream but can’t decide on that either. I’m always so hesitant to redeem points because I worry something better will be added and I won’t have enough points for it lol

For the first time in over 4 years of subbing, I’m super bummed I didn’t get a certain product. I really wanted the Smashbox lippie in that EXACT colour – I was at an event that had a Smashbox tent & ‘Miss Conduct’ was the shade the MA used for me. It was GORG but I’m on a ‘no new buys’ diet until I get through my stash…if it arrived in my Ipsy bag tho, that’s not cheating! When I checked my spoilers, I admit to being a little pouty when I got the Aurora lip stain instead. Oh well. My friend’s daughter will be happy to get it. The others products are: The Mudmasky Mask, Ciate Eyeliner Stamp, Ruby Brush & the Bubble T Hand Cream. I got an eyeshadow brush & mud mask last month so it’s a little repetitive but whatevs.

On a side note, I used one of those eyeliner stamps when I went to a concert with my husband & mother last year; y’know, just for a bit of fun. On the way there, we stopped at a cafe in a small town. These 3 old ladies kept LOOKING our way & ‘whispering’. They were louder than they realized so we could hear them saying, “it’s such a shame!”, “she’s RUINED her face!!!” & “Tsk! Terrible!”. It took a while but finally it dawned on us that they were talking about the ‘tattoos’ on my face. My Mum, Hubs & I were dying laughing listening to their clucks of disapproval. I wish I had the stamp with me so I could’ve gone into the bathroom, applied a bunch more & given those biddies an even better story. ‘The Girl With The Face Tattoo’ was probably the most exciting thing that had happened in a looooong time in that sleepy little place. Glad I’m getting another one this month: Disapproving Elders of the world – Look out! 😉

I’m getting 2 bags, but only 1 item I really wanted. And I selected it on my “how to improve your bag” survey. If anyone wants to trade for any of my items, I’d really like the star stamp liner or the Real Her lipstick in girlpower, but I’m open to other things too.

This may be my favorite bag ever (and I’ve subscribed since 2014!) I’m getting theorie hair mask, Marc jacobs foundation, Luna eye shadow, the tweezers and lip scrub!

I was bummed that I wasn’t one of the people who gets the “improve my glam bag” option, especially since I have been subscribed for so long and others who just joined have it, but after reading comments it doesn’t help much, maybe I shouldn’t be that mad. So worth the 10 dollars!

Second month in a row that I’m really disappointed in what I’m getting. Ipsy was mostly a hit with me up until two months ago. That also happens to coincide with when I discovered the “Improve Glam Bag” link in my profile. Not only are they now mostly giving me none of the items I specify I would like there, but they are also sending me a lot of items I do not have checked as preferences in my profile. What gives? I review every month. Seems my bags should be getting better, not worse. Might be time to take an Ipsy break.

Is anyone surprised at all that Liz got the Sunday Riley? I wrote that in one of the previous posts- as soon as I saw that SR was an option- only Liz and other lucky bloggers will get that sample. The rest of us will get some “the balm” or other cheap stuff… “regular” subscribers never get the good expensive samples 🙁 I have been with ipsy for 3 years now, and never once did I get an “expensive” sample… not even the “it” concealer that has been going out for months. Yet I got every single one of the 7 (!!!) samples by “the balm” that ipsy has sent in the past 3 years… That’s why I am about to cancel.

Overall, pretty happy with my bag. I’ve never done the swap thing but I think I may start — this is the 2nd nail polish I’ve gotten and I know I’ll never use it.

Anyone care to comment on swapping here and how it’s worked out for them?

I wanted to try the Bubble T lemongrass hand cream so I added hand cream to my profile for the first time ever. So Ipsy tricked me by giving me the Delectable hand cream instead. Oh well, maybe they do look at the profile after all.
