This was my first sub years ago. After several months of sub-par boxes I just finally canceled. When I couldn’t even remember the samples I received I knew it was time to let it go. Sure it was only 10 bucks…but that adds up over time! I would much rather take that 10 dollars and buy something I will actually use.

I’m thinking about canceling. The samples are so tiny and I only use about half the stuff they send me and the rest goes into a drawer. I was excited to get the coola primer this month but the sample is sooooo small! Disappointing.

Does anyone know if you can opt out of a few sample choices like you can with Ipsy?? Fragrance samples for example. I’m extremely selective when it comes to fragrance and don’t want to pay for samples. lol

You can only partially opt out of fragrance samples for no more than 6 per year.

Yes you can opt out of fragrance samples. I was filling out my profile on the app and it asked me about fragrances. So check your profile and make sure that it isn’t selected for you. 🙂

I just re-started my birch box subscription last month after taking a year off, and I’m happy to get it again! I chose the badgal mascara and I’m really excited to try it. Also, I really love the pretty box! Did anyone else notice that on the bottom of the March box, there’s a beautiful little flower and petal design? It’s so pretty! I re-use the boxes themselves as gift boxes, and the March and April ones are really pretty.

Pick all the boring ones, that is what I got. I’m done with Birchbox and will be cancelling asap. They also charged me for a year this past time when I had never been an annual subscriber so that was the final nail in the so called box/coffin for me.

I signed up today because of the free box they are offering. I really don’t need another subscription box, but a free one is hard to turn down. As of 12:30 EDT, the free box was still available in case anyone else is interested. The box is for new subscribers only, and it’s not curated based on your profile, it’s just whatever they toss in.

I would love those soaps, the deodorant, and the Acure. That is the only type of “skin care” I want from a sub box, natural or organic. Even so, I still get excited about my Birchbox each month. I will only keep two items from this box, but I usually keep most or all of them.

Quite pleased with my Birchbox. Always enjoy the products that they include and each month, I discover an item that I would have otherwise never considered. 4 out of the 5 samples are great and if I didn’t have a few extra black eyeliners already, I would have been excited for that one as well.

Of my 5 items, I think my favorite is the Jane Iredale Just Kissed lip and cheek stain in the color Forever Pink. Love it as a lip stain — So Pretty. Sample size is tiny but actually considering buying the full size of this. Wonder what the other (2) colors look like (a reddish and peachy stain). Absolutely a great discovery thanks to my Birchbox!

I’m getting the Jane Iredale lip stain too. I hope I get the pink shade you’re getting, my reveal showed that I might be getting the Forever Red shade which sadly won’t look good on me at all and will have to swap away.

Oribe dry shampoo (i hate this, I’m sick of it please stop sending it!!)

COOLA® Classic SPF 30 Dawn Patrol™ Makeup Primer – my pick for lack of better choices
Beautaniq Beauty Fill + Tame Brow Gel – cool if it’s clear or light.
Adesse New York Cupuaçu Butter Lip Balm™ – ok
While I’m not super excited about what I got, and there were other samples I would rather have had, this was probably my best Birchbox yet. Most months I’m ready to cut the rope, but they convinced me this month to give them another shot, as they got a little better. I get a lot of boxes, and this one by far is the most consistently disappointing.

😂 I realized that just now. Lol I think I went with the primer cause I have sooooo many mascara samples that they will probably go bad before I can use them. Lol I wasn’t thinking about that when I made the post, but good point. 😁 so I guess in theory I would have loved the mascara, but really it should have been in my “perfect box” lol

Birchbox REALLY needs to get an influx of new products. So many of these I’ve received from them, like, almost a year ago and they’re still circulating around. If I get another Briogeo heat protectant, when all I do is air dry, I might riot ; )

These are the steps to see all the sampled products this month on the on the App only:
1. Open Birchbox app on iOS or Android (this is not available on a desktop browser!)
2. Select the “Women” category from the Menu
3. Scroll down to the “Featured Categories” section
4. Locate “Sampled this Month”, it will be the 4th from the bottom.
5. The Current month product list is usually updated around the 10th of the month.
