I received the two boxes I ordered today, and was really disappointed. There was a discrepancy between the photo of the products and the description, so I went with the description, because that is usually what I find to be more accurate. I was expecting Swiss Ives moisturizer (and even the product insert had directions for it) but received the body lotion, and was also expecting a larger size of the serum, based on the description. Both eye shadows that completely shattered and were all over everything, so I called customer service to ask for a replacement of the eye shadows. He offered me a partial refund or a box replacement that wouldn’t ship until they received my damaged box back in the mail. That sounded like a giant pain, so I accepted the partial refund. I am unsure of the amount of the refund, because I couldn’t hear the representative well. I definitely don’t feel like I got the value with this box that I was expecting, but I guess not all beauty boxes are screaming deals!

I am not understanding though what your expectation was with the St. Ives…

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

I am guessing this is your first time ordering a Target beauty box?

They often state the sizes incorrectly.

Also, the full-size No7 serum costs $25, they wouldn’t have sent it in a $7 box as one of several items.

I had the same email that said the address was wrong. I had contacted Target and just had a frustrating experience with the customer rep who just said she didn’t know what the problem was but they were working on it.

The good news is I now got the email that other people have had that they are sending me the box and comping me for the cost. So I am happy with the resolution. But hopeful that I won’t get an exploded eyeshadow in the Box!
Thank you target.

I got my two boxes today and everything was intact, I am so happy I never have any problems I wish I could post pictures, nice pics this month! Love Target Beauty.

Got mine today and sure enough, one of the dark eyeshadows in the stupid palette busted, so I got the thickly powdered box. Some of the residue even got into the Olay wash, which does not have an inner seal. From a thoroughly sealed little palette, this is almost impressive. How crappy does a product have to be, in both design and execution, to do that so consistently? At least now we all know it is so not the product to keep in your purse or take with you when traveling. No wonder it only costs $2.99.
I used the “report issue” function in Orders, and put it in the comment section that just a $2 refund will not suffice, so we’ll see what happens. I almost think they canceled so many boxes just to not deal with the fallout of busting palettes.
I got the purple hair makeup, which I have no use for as it is the most love-or-hate, age- and occasion-sensitive color in the whole line. It is full-size, so I will try and swap it for a better color tomorrow at a store, and will post if they let me do it.

My little pallet looked like it exploded too! At first I thought it was just a dirty box, but what a total mess as I removed items from the box. I called CS and they were lovely. I was offered a partial refund ($3) because the boxes were sold out. I have never had an issue with Target boxes until this. The little compact was just loose in the box with much heavier items. I think a lot are going to be broken! They did ask for photos to see how it was packed. It is a shame, I would definitely have rather the item than a refund.

I just received this email update after telling me this morning That they were working to resolve the problem

I also received this email! Awesome!

Reply ButtonReply

Laura

Just received the email too – very nice:)

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

How did they manage to smash ALL the eyeshadow palettes? Seems to me it was defective stock to begin with – I don’t believe there could be this much damage in the mail.

Mine is coming tomorrow, I wonder now what that will look like.

Reply ButtonReply

JuJu

Oh, wow, my eyeshadow actually came intact!

After all the feedback on here, I am amazed.

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy Haley

i got 4 boxes–not a single thing wrong with any of them!

Cristina

I just got mine too, and the outside of the box was really damaged, but somehow miraculously the eyeshadow and everything else inside were fine!

Can anyone share what the “boots” Target box was about?

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

Just a Target beauty box that had a “best of” Boots No7 products in it. I can’t remember if it was last month or the month before.

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy Haley

it was january…there were 2 boxes that month–one regular, and the “boots” box

i was up ordering by 9AM, & the boots box was sold out…i vowed, “never again!” & set my alarm for this one!

An

Thank yoy Ann. 💚 I did not see it 😶

Laura

This is getting interesting. Last night I received 2 more emails after the first “cancelled box notification”. One was a UPS shipping notification saying I would be receiving a shipment from Target and the other email was from Target:

“We’re sorry we had to cancel your Target Beauty Box™ – March due to a technical issue.

We’re working as fast as possible on a solution. Hold tight – we’ll email you again soon.”

?? Did anyone else get those 2 emails?

Reply ButtonReply

50ShadesofLipstick

I just got a shipment notification email from Target, so it looks like mine did in fact ship! Hope that the rest of you that had this weird experience also get your boxes.

Reply ButtonReply

50ShadesofLipstick

Me!

I ordered one and also got an email saying that it was cancelled due to a technical issue/”bad address” (eyeroll). But yesterday I just got a shipping notification from UPS (I have that service where they email you when a package is coming your way), and it was from Target.com. Since I hadn’t placed any other orders nor did anyone send us anything, I can only conclude that they shipped the box out to me anyway, despite it being cancelled earlier. Weird but for the confusion, Target customer service gave me a $5 gift card when I called them about it. So maybe the rest of you that had your orders cancelled will receive them anyway, as it seems to be a technical issue that they are trying to resolve and maybe not that the orders that went through got cancelled due to low stock. Good luck to you guys!

Reply ButtonReply

Panda

I just received an email canceling my March boxes due to a “technical issue.” I had sent one to myself, one to my daughter and one to my niece and they were all canceled. Not happy.

Reply ButtonReply

Michelle

My box shipped this morning per email I received.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

Did anyone else receive broken eye shadow? Mine was smashed and all over the box.

Reply ButtonReply

Tina

My eyeshadow was broken and all over the inside of the box. It was a mess to clean up. Not a big deal but disappointing nonetheless.
Really disappointed that I did not receive a Dry Shampoo and had 2 conditioners instead.

Reply ButtonReply

kim

Yep, glitter all over every freaking thing!

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

It was really weird because the box was perfectly intact, but I could see some product dust under the plastic wrapping. I opened it up and that stuff was everywhere, BUT the actual container for the eye shadow was seriously still sealed up. Like it took me using scissors to get those two tape seal deals off it and even then I had to pry, yet somehow the product got out?

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

I really wish we could post pictures, because this had me seriously dumbfounded. Two of the eye shadow slots were completely shattered and almost empty, but the product got out of a the compact/whatnot.

susancarter1219

Yes MY EYESHAWDOW WAS CRUSHED AND MY WASH WAS ALSO THO OUTSIDE OF BOX FINE! THEY OFFERED ME 2 DOLLAR REFUND! IM THRU WITH TARGET THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE BAD.

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

I took pics of the box and contained items covered in the muck and sent those to the CS person.

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

Yes! I chatted with CS and they are sending me a replacement box for it. They’ll give you a refund, if you prefer that.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

What? I got a measly $2 off coupon and was told l could go buy the eye shadow. 😬

Sarah

Mine was broken too! I went to my order page on Target.com, clicked on “report an issue”, reported it as damaged, and they are giving me a refund. Target usually has great customer service when it comes to this type of thing.

Reply ButtonReply

Jessica

YES! Same thing happened to me. It was such a disappointment. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy Haley

poop! I hate that for you!

no broken shadow here, and “amethyst” for the hair “make-up” color…

Reply ButtonReply

Ann

I thought everyone would get the same color. I got purple. Hope I get a different color (red) in my replacement box!

Anne

Mine also smashed and all over everything. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

L

Disappointed with you Target. On the day you released the box I ordered it before lunch came. And today you emailed me that my order was canceled due to my address?! Really? I order from you all the time with my Target debit card and no changes on my address. Geez the one month I like your box.

Reply ButtonReply

Lunalee

The same thing happened to me and I just received an email that they’re working on it and will let me know as soon as possible. I don’t think I even want the boxes anymore.

Reply ButtonReply

Danielle

I got that same email! I constantly order from them with the same address. Now they are out of stock!

Reply ButtonReply

Jenny

Same thing happened to me….

DeeBeeTee

I just got the email today saying my order had been cancelled as well. I phoned them and they’re telling me it’s a computer glitch and they’re working on the problem. I was really looking forward to this box as I’d cancelled all my subs and this was going to be the only one I’d receive this month…oh well. 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

Brigitte

I got the same email 🙁 When I called them, I was first told that this was due to a bad address. I have had the same address for 32 years, so this could not be true. The website said, that the item was sold out. I then asked to speak with a supervisor, who stated, that this is a known glitch and has nothing to do with the address. I was assured, that they are working on the problem and that we can reorder either today, or tomorrow. It is disappointing, especially, since Target is a struggling company and should be trying harder.

Reply ButtonReply

Panda

One of my boxes was lost in the mail for months because they sent it to the wrong zip code, Even though I’ve had the address saved on their system for a year!

L

Maybe it’s too much to ask but why do we need reorder? They should fix the problem and send us the box without us having to do anything?!

Sorry just frustrated. haha

Adele

I was wondering why it was taking so long for the box to sell out. Based on the comments, it seemed like it would be typical of their boxes that sold out in a few hours. Guess maybe that really was the case.

Reply ButtonReply

Nicole

I think Target should put a limit of 1 box per person. That way more people have a chance to get one. People are ordering 4, 5 boxes apiece. No wonder there’s not enough.

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy Haley

set an alarm and get up at 4:00 AM…that’s what i did

…and, sometimes there ARE quantity limits, and those boxes end up sitting unordered for a week…

don’t be jelly…nobody “took something” away from you

Reply ButtonReply

Panda

I order several – for several people in different states. Nothing wrong with that.

Reply ButtonReply

Andrea

I contacted target customer service. They said everyone’s order was cancelled and the address message is a glitch in the system. The best they could do is tell me to keep checking the site and once it’s fixed we should be able to reorder.

Reply ButtonReply

Rebecca Farmer

I just got an email that Target cancelled my 2 orders.. they said it was because they couldn’t verify my address although it’s the same address I’ve been ordering stuff for a couple years now . This is what they sent me

Unfortunately, a technical issue allowed your order to be placed even though we couldn’t process your address

Reply ButtonReply

Nancy

I got the same thing…I called and they said it was a glitch and they are working on it. The e-mail also I wouldn’t be charged but I was. Will wait and see.

Reply ButtonReply

Heidi

I haven’t got any email or anything,I checked my target account to a few minutes ago to see if my box was shipped, and it said that the order was cancled. I’m very upset, this is he 3rd time I’ve been done his way, and they never give me an explanation. It’s b.s.

Reply ButtonReply

Jan

I received the exact e-mail this morning, indicating that there was a problem with my address. I checked my credit card account, and discovered that it has indeed been charged for this box. I responded to Target CS with an e-mail, letting them know that my account has been charged, and that my current address has remained the same for the past twenty years. I have bought numerous boxes from them in the past, using the same credit card, and obviously the same address. Anyone have any additional insight as to what my next step should be in this process? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I also got the same notice this morning. I just got off the phone with cs. I was told she did not know why my order was canceled and she would have to speak to her supervisor. I was put on eternal hold. I ended up ringing over to another rep. She informed that I was not the only one this had happened to. She said there was a glitch in the system. I asked her how she was going to make it right. She said the issue should be corrected in a couple of hours. She took my cell # and said she would call me back to place the order. I told her the box was sold out and she stated that it was not??? Now just waiting on a call back…

Amy English

I got the same email that said I had an address issue. I’ve lived here for 12 years and never had that problem with target. I think they oversold.

Lacy

I got the same email! And all CS said was, “I understand how you feel, I would be upset too”. Thanks Target for validating my feelings lol.
Whatever. Guess it saves me $14?

Tammy Haley

just got an email from “beauty brands”,ladies…they have 3 sample try-me kits, one for nails is only $10 and there are 2 more, for $15 each…
they charge shipping, but there’s an automatic $3.50 off…

maybe make up for the target box no-shows…?

Reply ButtonReply

Tina

I too got the e-mail about a problem with my address. When I called customer service I was told there was not a problem with my address but that there was not enough stock. BOO

Reply ButtonReply

lindsey r

FYI-I ordered 2 target boxes (as I have done multiple times in the past), got confirmation of my order, then got an email today stating my order was cancelled due to “address issues”. I order online with my target account and the same address all the time. When I chatted with a representative online, the problem went from being an “address issue” to an “address restriction” to a “demand issue”, basically what I gathered is that although the website will let you order, the box is not available everywhere, which is not stated anywhere. Poor customer service, will not be ordering again as I have no idea if I would actually get the product!

Reply ButtonReply

lilly

that’s exactly what I got, although my address has been the same for the past 10 years!!! now, the box is sold out 🙁

Reply ButtonReply

V

I got the same email this morning. What a b.s. I’ve beeb using the same address forever with target orders!

Reply ButtonReply

Jaymie M Heishman

Got the same email about address issue. Getting ready to get ahold of them. I bet it gets interesting.

Reply ButtonReply

lindsey r

Good luck!! they offered me a $2 coupon-no thanks lol

lindsey r

They tried to offer me a $2 coupon to use next time. I said “no thanks, as I have no way of knowing if there would be an “address issue” next time” lol

Tammy Haley

even more interesting–i ordered 4 boxes, they took my $, received 2 boxes yesterday, no emails today from target…

uh, oh…

lindsey r

“I understand your concern, as the product is on high demand were are not able to process the order to every orders. However, our merchandise team are trying there best to deliver the product to every guest.”-per target rep on online chat

Reply ButtonReply

Sara

Just received mine today. The hair color is a rose red. It was promptly snatched up by my 12 year old.

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy Haley

I got amethyst!

Reply ButtonReply

Cristina

I hope I get that color too!

Reply ButtonReply

Kay

I just got mine in the mail and the eyeshadow exploaded all over the inside of the box. Grey/purple dust got all over the other products and my desk when I opened it. I didn’t really want the eyeshadow, just the other items so I probably won’t send anything to target’s customer service, but it’s kind of a major bummer that all my stuff is stained looking and dirty.

Reply ButtonReply

Ela Avar

I went through the link in my shipping email and within an hour I had an email with a $7.48 Target gift card. The refunded the entire cost of the box, tax included. Odd that people who called got a very different outcome!

Reply ButtonReply

Meg

I filled out the online form for issue with the order (my eyeshadow exploded over the whole box too) and was refunded back the whole price of the box.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy

Kay,
Same here. I called customer service and was refunded $2.

Reply ButtonReply

Amy O

Same here. I called and was refunded $2.

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy Haley

sorry for everyone who wanted one but didn’t get one!

i missed the “boots” box in january, & i was just *distraught* over it!😔

i feel quite guilty, & i must confess…i got 4…because, i wanted a full-sized no7 product, anyway…i kinda justfied it like, “ok…got a full-on no7, for $28, free ship…that’s how much it is, so, i get all the other stuff FREE!”

but, now i feel bad…

poop

Reply ButtonReply

Ela Avar

Don’t feel bad, that was really smart!!😄😁

Reply ButtonReply

Kay

It’s actually not a full sized No7. The size was incorrectly listed, the picture shows the proper size.

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy Haley

yeah, i know…that would be why i purchased 4 boxes, so i would have a full-sized product, & feel like i essentially get all the rest for free

but, now i feel guilty seeing how many of us didn’t get even one

😕

Kay

I just realized you meant adding the total for 4 boxes is one full sized. Sorry for misreading.

Heather

This is the first month they actually sold out within the day they were released in quite some time. Super bummed that I didn’t catch this one, so my fingers are crossed that they’re making corrections on that No 7 size issue. And more boxes would be released? I’m not holding my breath though. Congrats to everybody who got one!

Reply ButtonReply

Tammy Haley

well, they sold out of the “boots” box in january super-quick, within hours, i do remember that…
but, if you think that target is going to fall on the sword, and send out a full-size “no 7” product…no, that’s not going to happen

this is why companies use “disclaimers”, such as “may”, & “might”–and words like “substitutions” & “could”…

you gotta be smarter than the ad copy…or, you live in a constant state of disappointment…i mean, c’mon…

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

To be clear, I meant that I was hoping the description needed a correction, they suspended sales and they may resume. Guess I’m just naive? Also, I never believe the ad copy…working in graphic design and advertising.

Heather

I never even saw the Boots box. Nor did I want this one *just* for the No. 7 item. I’ve been trying to get it every month for my mom. Did I say something that caused you to think those things?

Dawna

There’s really no need to be so rude about it. Target has a pretty good history of boldly showing the sizes of the products listed in the box only to send out much smaller sizes. If it’s advertised that size, it should be that size. I mean… c’mon… Target is not paying for these products. They are free to target to put in these boxes. The price we pay is to cover The packaging, shipping and packing the boxes.

Holly

Sold out

Reply ButtonReply

brownsteindl

Just tried to order, but it sold out pretty quickly. Unless perhaps they are just correcting the box description?

Reply ButtonReply

Melanie

it is always sold out fast because they do not have a purchase limit on them and people are selfish and buy like 5 of them at a time. like really? why do you need 5.

Reply ButtonReply

Angelina

I agree. And you know some of those people are going on to resell/upsell the boxes (or a hodgepodge of their contents) on other sites. Everyone has to have a hustle, I guess, but laughable to claim that people hoard always in pursuit of some more “noble cause”.

Tammy Haley

many times, they do put a limit on them

i set my alarm, got up at 3:00AM, and waited for the email

then, i bought 4

felt guilty about it, till i read your comment

thanks!

you could have got up, too
