I have a question first- I have the Himalayan Salt kit with the metal scraper and the wood block. But, I don’t think it’s sanitary to have salt sitting out on a kitchen cabinet or in a drawer, either. What do the rest of you who have this item cover it with?
TIA!!
I liked all the boxes this year. As with any seasonal box containing as many items as FFF sends, there are going to be hits and misses..
Here’s what I especially liked, and one or two items which are always ” misses” for me and I am hoping not to get them in ’18 boxes!
Spring and Summer- In no particular order, there are some things which make the box purchases and unpacking fun and ” fab” for me, I think. I like my pouches. I have ” Beach Please”, which I really like, and ” Slay All Day” which is kind of “unusual” for me personally, but I like the pouch itself . I use mine in tote bags for general storage of categories of items in my bag because we have our own pool, and my luggage collection has a great ” wet/ dirty laundry” built in storage system section in the major pieces. I also like the Michael Stars ruanas. I have the blue one and the black tie dye one. LOVE the face masks by Karuna. Always up for moisturizing good quality face masks.
The really weird thing for me is that I live in a very mild climate part of the country and as far as usefulness, the Spring and Summer boxes of ALL subscriptions should be the ones I ” go to” overwhelmingly. However, I am almost dis-interested in boxes containing sun products, and especially intensely dislike and will not use beachy hair wave sprays, face bronzers, and dry shampoo.
Thus, my favorite boxes, FFF and other subs, and the LE/ SE boxes are the Fall and Winter seasonal themed boxes..
FALL- I love the art design of the box ( shallow, I know, but I mailed my mother’s birthday present in it, it was so pretty).
I especially like the ACV shampoo/ rinse, the blush knitted cap ( they sent me both colors of the hat and the belt), both of the belts work with my Boho style ( I swear I just typed ” Hobo”).
WINTER BOX– I LOVE the Ahava hand cream- it’s my favorite hand cream normally but I usually end up using whatever is handy from a sub box.. The super size is fantastic of them to make for FFF subscribers. : ).
I love the socks. My blue- teal ones kind of coordinate with my teal scarf from the Fall box, although I just wear the socks around the house.
I am able to use the ExfoliKate, even with sensitive skin. I just don’t use it as often as a younger lady can.
I think the gold necklace is classy and fun, but I’ve developed a sensitivity to something in the base metals of non- precious jewelry. This is a new thing for me and I’m hoping it goes away because I can’t have fashionable jewelry in all 18 kt. or Platinum. I’m not a Rockefeller and didn’t win either lottery this week, ha.
Adore the eye palette I chose- ( I think it’s called ” smoky”- the one with mostly icy purple and gray colors.) I took out the icy blue and silver from a smaller FFF Doucce palette in an Editor’s Box from the summer, I think, and put them in where the brown toned shadows had been.. Now, it has all the colors I use if I use eye makeup.
Sorry this is long. I think FFF boxes are like great big treasure chests when they arrive.. a little of this, a bit of that, and overall, fun.
I would nominate the ” Art Kit” for the sub box Hall Of Shame, though. I’m not in the stage of life to have children or grandchildren or friends with children young enough to play with something like that, if I was brave enough to give it to someone else, as much as I disliked it.
I think it was a rare ” total fail” for FFF, for me, anyway. That’s saying a lot, as I’ve subbed to most of the lifestyle boxes reviewed here from their beginnings.
