Hello everyone! Quick question….I signed up for my first Allure box on January 5, 2018. I just got the box in the mail it is the December 2017 box!! I am very confused. Does that mean I will skip the January box? Why would I get a box from a month when I was not charged (or a member) during that month?

I’m a new subscriber, so January should be my first box. Is there somewhere to fill out profile info for skin tone, hair color, etc? I looked but didn’t see anything, but if they are going to be sending out foundation in March I must need to fill out something, right?

Ive been wondering the same thing. This will be my first Box and I have looked into mum account on their website with nothing of the sort to fill out. From what I’ve heard from long time subscribers is that they have no way of knowing because they have never asked so who knows why they are sending out Foundation, who exactly will it work for and the logic behind it. I also hate that they include this as it takes up a spot that could have been filled with a product that anyone could use or it to work for

I know, right? I am fair so I usually get the lightest colors in any foundation. I bet they are sending a medium shade which will be pretty useless for me. I daresay a great number of subscribers will not fall into the “medium” category either. 😠

Has anyone who ordered during the black Friday sale gotten any details even on the mega box we were supposed to get? LMK because I was totally stoked to get one and have not heard a peep!!

I posted this on the Jan. Allure thread, and wanted to put it on one of the Feb. box threads as well.
Not sure everyone knows this, but Allure doesn’t allow a person to have multiple accounts, even with different emails if the shipping address is the same.

What to do? If you have one account and want multiple boxes, use the GIFT SUBSCRIPTION option to yourself, your dog, your child, it doesn’t matter who the recipient is.

I had 3 payments refunded to my card since mid- December without explanation. After 40 minutes on hold today, I found out why, and got all 3 converted to ” gift subscriptions”.

I’ll never be able to get the Sunday Riley CEO serum at this price again, and also like the other items spoiled. At my age, the CEO serum from Glossybox really is making a huge difference on my face and the tops of my hands.

Hope this info about the ordering helps someone : ).

Mandy, I am a long time subscriber. I wanted two of the January boxes so I signed up with same address and different email. The new sub was supposed to be $10 for the first box and a mystery gift. I signed up in December so I knew I would get two of December as well as two January boxes. Both boxes (original and new sub) arrived in December without issue to same address. I am assuming that I will receive two boxes in January. Maybe the trick is paying with a different card? I did use a new payment method for the new sub. No sign of mystery gift but I heard several people say that it took forever to get the bonus.

Mint’s a classic for ” fresh breath”, so I guess that’s why they chose it.

I’m fine with most scents and fragrances other than Lavender. I am allergic and actually have had Lavender- infused lip balms show up in natural beauty sub boxes before. I couldn’t believe it.

I am ok with mint, but I hate (not enough to not try it) the squeeze tubes😜

I agree I hate the squeeze tube! So inconvenient and easy to end up with wasted product that you just can’t squeeze out

I was charged and then refunded on the ninth. Don’t ask me why. No one has gotten back to me yet.

I called their CS over another issue and had no wait time and was provided with excellent helpful service which I suggest you do because they will never email you back. Also you can subscribe through amazon and it’s a completely different system and all in that you can have an account through Allure and another one through amazon and they won’t cancel each other out. I did that because I was worried that I didn’t get subscribed correctly through Allure website so I tried through amazon and the CS rep from Allure on the phone told me that they are completely different from each other and have different systems and that having an account with both wouldn’t even possibly show up on Allure’s system. Sure enough I got tracking for both my boxes and now just have to decide which one of the two I should keep my account with.

I just posted about why this happened and what to do about it. They will NEVER email you about why you were refunded.
Call them, and if you have one subscription live already, you’ll need to do subsequent subs. as gift subscriptions to yourself.

It’s very outdated and strange, but that’s how they have it set up. If you don’t have any live subscriptions, definitely call them and be prepared to be on hold for 40 minutes or so. This is not something they are addressing well in any email.

Liz could you answer a question that I’m completely confused over. Does Allure send out variations of their boxes? I was under the impression due to the spoilers that everyone got the same box. Could you clear this up for me please

I’m not Liz, but I’ve been a subscriber for over 3 years. Allure sends out only minor variations, such as different shades of the same brand of nail polish or eyeshadow. Occasionally they’ll also send out a different skincare item from the same brand. So, most of the time, everyone gets the same box.

Thank you so much for clarifying this. I got freaked out when I read about variations and was relying entirely on the spoilers listed on MSA. Glad to know it’s nothing extreme or to be worried about.

I signed up at the very end of December and this January Box will be my first and I got the Shipping email a few days ago and I tracked it and they are still awaiting the item but have an estimated time of delivery for late next week

I have a yearly subscription, and i didnt get my december one until last week (the 1st week of January! It shipped last day of Dec.) My mother however, got her December one in the middle of Dec., I bought her a monthly sub., so idk.

I’ve been getting Allure for several years and the latest it usually ships is the 15th. It ships from Glendale Heights IL, via one stop mailing. If you haven’t signed up for USPS informed delivery I’d suggest doing so.

Ugh I envy you! I’ve been trying to get Informed Delivery for months and yesterday called USPS and after being on hold for an hour they told me that although my zip code is eligible the back that I live in a condo is the reason why I can’t and that they could not do anything about this and advised me to keep trying every month as they continue to expand and include more addresses. I’ve personally been doing that since it came out. Such a bummer but glad that you have it and like it

These boxes are probably the best out of the other boxes that are similar like Sephora Play, Ipsy, Birchbox. You get an extraordinary curation and selection of products that include many full sized ones as well making this boxes value fantastic. I’m so happy that you have posted these spoilers because I just subscribed mostly to receive the Sunday Riley Serum and wasn’t sure if I was going to continue my subscription after just this January box but I’m convinced now that I should definitely continue! I’m excited for the upcoming selections minus a couple products but overall these boxes will get used.

I tried to to cancel last August and they offered me 4 months for $10 each so I stayed (all the communication was by email) I was planning to cancel it after that but I decided to stay for January (love Sunday Riley CEO serum). Now thinking about staying until further notice because I’m liking all the spoilers (sigh)
