The box is not my favorite ever, but I’m very happy with the choices. I loved the original pink lip balm and will probably request the berry for January. But I really like the curated box, too! I’ve actually never tried any of those products, either.

So, this will be my 2nd birchbox. I did the bonus box special for this month and was disappointed because my bonus box was almost a complete duplicate and all samples were very small besides the davines shampoo. I had so much hair products in my boxes and I’m very picky as I have naturally curly hair and mainly stick to devacurl. Also hair products were not something I checked that I wanted included in my box. So my question is does birchbox include hair products in every box no matter what?

No they don’t. And if they ever send you a hair product that doesn’t match your hair (I once got a curly hair product but in my profile it says that I have straight hair), they’ll usually refund you something.

I love that Verb mask! I hope you like it if you end up choosing it. 🙂 I’m torn between that and the lip balm as my sample pick. I already know I love that mask, but I’ll only get one to two uses out of it, whereas I’m sure I’ll love the lip balm plus I’ll get a ton of uses out of it. I also really like the curated box, so I’ll be picking one of those up when they go on sale.

You’re not the only one who likes the box. I think the pastel box colors are very pretty and this is the 2nd month in a row where I think they’ve done a great job with selecting the products in the curated box.

Of course they would have something I like after my 1 year pre-paid membership is up. The Verb mask is my favorite, I use it regularly and it makes me dry, damaged, been dyed regularly for 25 years hair—super soft. ♥ Hopefully I can swap for a bunch.

I agree with some other comments that the box design is not up to snuff this month.
I bought a month-to-month sub so I could get the candle, so I actually am getting BB this month even though I usually don’t. I tried the other Arrow balm way back when it first came out, & I’ve been wanting to try the berry, so I’ll pick that. I like receiving a full size product in the box.

Hey it’s better than just the packet and I got that awhile back and btw it’s an awesome product (but pricey). For myself I don’t always use conditioner and if I do it’s a quarter of the amount or less of shampoo I use…fine hair, etc.

You know I thought when I canceled this six months ago I would have majot envy, but it hasn’t happened.
Even new box has 3-4 items I have alteady recieved from them.
When I found out the box value is usually around $25, I felt duped.

I like their online shop and points program and is one reason I stay and also the bonus with purchase items …as well as trying some new products. They do have some nice sales and offers sometimes like with this season imo.

To be fair, Birchbox was never advertised to be a good value. Their point was to be able to try samples of high end products for only $10 instead of wasting your money on a full size of something you maybe won’t like. Their commercials support this, and they were one of them first sub boxes. I think it’s the newer subscription boxes that focus more on higher value being the purpose of subscribing.

Nothing interesting here with choice or curated box. Time to cancel, too many other options out there. With all the new makeup and skincare options out there, why keep getting repeats? Isn’t that what subs are for, to try new items?

I emailed them yesterday, still waiting for a reply. I have 2 boxes, one for myself and one for my daughter. BOTH boxes have the same tracking info. They are at the distribution warehouse, USPS is waiting for it, no update for 9 days. I can understand if 1 got lost or something, but both of them? This has never happened with any of my boxes in past months, I’ve been subscribed since April. I really wanted these before the holidays too!

Umm, really Birchbox? Couldn’t do better for the start of 2018? Just looks like leftovers from 2017….I subscribe to 5 other beauty boxes and this is the worst by far for January. Still won’t cancel tho since Birchbox was my first ever sub box and I’m a bit co dependent on them LOL

I would not use any of the sample choices, so I’d have to go with the curated box if Oribe is involved. That is the only thing shown that I would use, but that alone is worth the box!
