Soooo……can someone please explain. …do they put the sales out all at one time, or do they put them out at separate times throughout the whole day?!

I’m trying to figure out, if they release only a couple at a time, and say you want 5/6 deals…….and they are not released at the same time, you obviously have to check out, because if you leave them in the cart they sell out…..but does that mean if we manage to catch the deals that come out, and it’s 5/6 different times, do we pay for shipping each time?

I’m kinda confused on how they do this (my first year of doing this) and kinda trying to get an idea of what to expect, but if they don’t have free shipping all day that day, and they don’t release everything at once to let people shop, I would think shipping would add up, and it would be kind of hetic to know when the items you’re interested in will be released..

Does anyone please have any thoughts, tips, or ideas on how this goes down??

Sorry to keep asking , but kinda hoping a sephora black friday veteran can explain what to expect, and how they remembered it worked past years.

Thank you 😀
I hope everyone has a happy holiday season! !

Just Miss Jamey-
I believe yes you would have to pay for shipping each order. So I say go for it and pay the $10 for flash shipping! Or at least I think that’s how much it was. It’s $10 for a whole year of flash two day shipping- just remember to cancel a year from now if you don’t want to continue it and you don’t want them to charge you again.

Shiree,

Okay, ordered something and now added the flash shipping…..bring on the sales!!!! Haha…..how often do they release the sales?? Like do they release 3/4 things at a time, every half hour like, or every hour?!

Thank you soooo very much..I’ve been panicking..lol…I don’t have a lot of money, so these sales will help me get a few of my friends some things I think they will really like.

JJamiah

For the first time ever, I don’t see anything that I want at Sephora for Black Friday.

Now they are..go figure..okay….I’m new at black friday sephora, there in not a store with in 50 maybe even 65 miles from me….so I buy online….I read here (missy I believe ) said sephora only releases black friday specials every little bit…like they don’t just put them out, first come and first serve…..how would that work?? We have to sit around refreshing the screen constantly, and then if we see one item, we put it in cart and buy it?? I’m sure if we left it in cart, after the end of the sale, most would be sold out…so do we purchase these sale by sale through out the day and pay separate shipping (which would get super expensive ) .
Or how does this work?! I’ve never tried this…I always avoid the holidays because I have no family, so this year thanks to msa I decided to get into makeup, and want to hit some sales up of items I’ve wanted to try….but how do you know when they are putting out the it s you want, and then when they do we have 6/7 orders that we pay shipping for?!I guess I just kinda am asking what to expect. …

I would think they put everything out and people load up their carts and shop, then check out because most people will also be out and about getting local deals too….but idk.

So how does this work?! (Missy, I believe ) is saying last year they put sale items out at different times…how does that work??

Like if they put something different out , say every half hour or what have you, for one you can’t just leave items sitting in your cart until you are done shopping because they will be sold out, and say you are interested in 6/7 different deals that come out at different times, are we supposed to pay 6/7 different shipping fees, and have them all shipped separately and pay all the extra money to try and have them shipped?? I guess if you live close to a sephora ( I do not, I’m 60 plus miles from the closest store) you could get whatever, but for the ladies (and gents) that are doing our shopping online…how would this work?? And are we supposed to just sit around all day refreshing the page in hopes we catch what we are looking for?!

This will be my first sephora black friday. .I usually hide and pretend the holidays are not happening. .lol…but I’m going to try something different this year, but it seems like they don’t just put everything out at once online and let us shop, so I’m wondering how others went about it last year?!

Thanks 🙂

Okay, this 2 I’ll be my first black friday at sephora…..I have a couple questions I sure hope some of you ladies (or gents) can give me some advice. ..

1. “Black Friday” is at midnight on the night of/next day of thanksgiving, which is the 24th?!?

2. Can someone tell me which midnight are we to go by?!? Haha, I know this seems like a funny questions, but those time zones confuse me, and I’d like to have my fingers warmed up and ready to use them 😀

3. Since this is my first sephora black friday, I’ve read (I believe missy) saying that sephora does not do what “normal” people would expect them to do, or any site to do during a sale……release all the products and let people shop as they please. …

BUT

She recalled last year, something about sephora not doing that, something (which this is really where I am confused ) ..that they put radon sales out during a 24 hour period and not all at once like a “normal” store would…so how does this work?? Do we have to sit all day and refresh the screen in hopes we catch the sale items that we are wanting to get?! Then when we do (thank goodness she said last year limit 3, I hope that at least saves some for everyone that would like to legit purchase items and not just to resell , I digress) anyways, if this is the case,
1. I assume we can’t just leave items in our carts without checking out and paying for them because of you waited all day, and kept adding an item here amdntjerw, by the time you have collected the things you wanted, I’m sure the majority will be out of stock, so do we purchase our items just a couple at a time and have 10 things all shipped separately, while we pay shipping per each item we would like, or how does this work?? I’m kinda confused.

If they released them all at one time, and we get to shop around, add all the items we would like to our carts and then check out that would be what I would expect, but if they released a few at a time, then how exactly would we go about getting deals we wamt, knowing when those exact ones time wise be released, and what about shipping??

If this is confusing, I’m truly sorry. …lol…..I just have no clue now I’ve read these comments about them being released randomly through out the day (which I think is bad) but I’d like to buy a thing or two for myself, and then a thing or two for a couple friends of mine for Christmas (and yes, they are all different sets, and I don’t plan on ordering more then 1 items per sale price lol)

Liz-

For some reason pictures aren’t loading for me on the MSA website, it’s doing it on the swap site too. Do you have any ideas of why it might be doing this and what I could do? Pictures are loading on other websites I go to so I’m not sure what the deal is?

Missy

Definitely hoping I can get a few of the BENEFIT tarte nest tocca & buxom sets.

HEREs HOPING they don’t sell them the same way they did last year when they only released certain sets at certain times with a 3 of one item per one account max. They didn’t release the sets I wanted to get all together and the ones I wanted to buy sold out fast like the tarte & buxom ones.
PLEASE PLEASE SEPHORA just release them all at once this year!
Last year was a mess! U had to wait literally hours all day to get the sets u wanted!

Reply ButtonReply

justmissjamey

Heck, I sure hope they do put limits on items because I am sure there won’t be 1 for everyone that would like to buy one, let alone 3 plus……so this will be my first sephora “black friday” what happens, they only release a couple random things throughout the whole day and you have to hope to catch it???

Simone Rubin

Are there going to be any sales on full-sized items or just these?

Reply ButtonReply

Missy

It’s usually just sets like these that are on sale from what I remember

Reply ButtonReply

Natalia

Hi! When will these Black Friday items be available to purchase? I can’t currently find them online. Thank you!

Reply ButtonReply

Missy

Don’t forget last year they put different sets on sale in different time increments. So for instance certain sets would be on sale you would have I think an hour for those certain sets (and a limit of 3 of each I think((under one account))) then release more sets. It was a chaotic mess I thought! The sets I wanted weren’t released at the same time so I had to do multiple check outs! Anyone else remember this??

Setzie

Available in the app.

Natalia

Setzie, are they really? 🙂

Kelly

For these you will actually have to wait until Black Friday, or rather midnight of Thanksgiving. The really popular ones might sell out if you wait until morning/ afternoon.

Reply ButtonReply

Natalia

Thank you, Kelly! Thanks for the info! There are a few good ones I would really like. I held off on the 20% off sale because I knew Black Friday would be fun. 🙂

Nancy

I always shop them right after midnite on Thanksgiving.. You can have a bit of trouble getting on the site since everyone has the same idea. Definitely worth it, tho..

Korey

I wish the Clean Reserve was part of the sale 🙁

Sarah

AT ULTA they have a sale on the Clean products until tomorrow 11/18. You also get some tumblers and coasters with a $40 fragrance purchase.

I know they had a rollerball set last year because I bought a couple of them. I think they were $10 or $15.

Thanks to beauty boxes I’ve been able to pass on so many things. I have so much already but a lot of these are great prices for gifts.

I think I’m going to get that IT cosmetics set. I’ve wanted to try out those items. Plus, I might get the Tocca set too.

Artemis

Been wanting to try some Tocca perfumes, so this is great.

The orange one is my favorite: Stella.

Artemis

Ooh, good to know. Just looked it up and apparently it’s a big fan favorite. Thanks!

Samantha

I wanna try the it cosmetics glow tonic in that set. So im for sure getting that!

Marion

Phew! Nothing I “need”.

I’m surprised by the white chocolate chip palette. I thought they did that already, & everyone hated it?

Reply ButtonReply

Kelly

The chocolate chip was a mini palette that looked like it was for dolls. The pans were laughably tiny. This appears to be a full sized bar palette.

Marion

Oh, interesting. I remember hearing (well, reading) that the formula was chalky & not pigmented.
