Ipsy Reveals Are Up for the November 2017 Glam Bag!

I got the exact same bag as you Elena. Even the same Colourpop lip color & Tarte blush color, & the blue bag.
I really didn’t have a preference towards which bag I got but I was leaning more towards the brown and yellow but I’m fine with the blue too.
I’m not very impressed with the bag itself, it sort of reminds me of the February bag (the sort of denim blue one with the orange zipper.) I don’t mean that it looks like the February bag just that the February bag and this bag both look very cheaply made to me. I’m not sure if I would’ve felt different had I received the brown and yellow bag. The material for this bag just looks really cheap and other than having the longer wristlet, I really don’t like this bag at all. I do think I’m going to love all the items I received.
I love brushes they could send me one every other month and I would be fine with that and I’ve tried and own a few other Tarte products so I’m looking forward to using the blush hopefully the color will work for me. The Manna Kadar powder appears to be more of an ivory color than white like it appeared in the picture hopefully it’ll be translucent enough. The Colourpop lipstick is kind of sticky but so far not too drying. I haven’t had a chance to use the cleanser yet but I’m always up for skin care products.

My bag came a day early also which is great. Other than the bag itself I think I’m going to like 3-4 of the five items. This bag Makes one year with Ipsy. Trying to decide if I want to go ahead and pre-pay a year if I do I’ll start that in January.

I got my bag weirdly fast this month? (anyone else??) I received:

-the blue bag (honestly, would’ve been fine with either!)
-Codage Scrubbing Cream (holy crap- I’m gonna have to buy the full size of this one)
-MannaKadar HD Powder (the only one I was meh about, but still happy to try it out)
-Colourpop Ultra Satin Lip in Calypso
-Tarte blush in Feisty
-Crown Brush C141 Small Chisel (alright brush, synthetic but had the OBVIOUSLY synthetic, slightly plasticy feel)

Honestly though, probably my fav bag in awhile- loved 3/5 items, and the other 2 were still great additives.

I thought last month was my best bag ever but now this one is! If i get the blue bag and paper tiger shade this will be one heck of a steal for me! I didn’t even know getting a limecrime diamond crusher was a possibility! and i am always down for a lip balm. I’ve never tried a “stick” anything before so this highlighter will be something new for me.

Ok so here’s what I’m getting for my first bag ever I’m happy about everything except for the tarte blush I would love to swap for that rose gold lipgloss or any color lipgloss really that’s the only thing I didn’t get that I wanted

I’m really excited for this bag! I could use a good hand cream to use at work and I’ve already got a Tarte blush that I adore, so I’m excited for another one in a different shade! I can always use more brushes since I’m just starting out and only have a couple, and the pressed powder and Lime Crime look amazing!

(Also, I think I may in the minority in that I’d love to get the yellow bag; it reminds me of the command gold uniforms from Star Trek, haha.)

If you’re not happy with your bags, change your profile age, eye color, whatever else you want. It’s YOUR bag. You’re paying for it. Ipsy doesn’t care if you put yourself as 30 when you’re really 40. I revamp mine every 3 months if I’m getting stuff I don’t like for whatever reason (color, too many black eyeliners, etc.)
I’m still considering the swap option on this site. Right now I pass on or trade with a friend who also gets Ipsy. We almost never get the same products in our bags so it works out.

I got an email with a gif of a woman putting on makeup that matched my list except for one item, and I’m wondering if that’s how they’re sending the email instead of with a picture of the color variants you got? Did anyone else get it? In mine she had a blush, blush brush, colourpop lipstick and a mascara. I am getting all those except the mascara should be the Naked pigment powder.

Did anyone get a different gif in their email? Is it just a coincidence that most of the items matched? (I ask because I liked the colors of the items that it showed and hope that’s them revealing which ones I am getting)

I’ve been with ipsy since July and I’ve only been impressed with one other bag. This was a good one and I’ll stay with ipsy for now.

Oribe gold lust dry shampoo – I dont use dry shampoos 🙁
Colourpop eye shadow – as long as I get the rose and not the yellow color I should be okay, but neither will work well with my fair skin tone
IT cosmetics base – not a fan of IT cosmetics
Make – Lip gloss – never even heard of this brand
Skyn Iceland lip fix – another brand I’ve never heard of

Overall not at all impressed this month. The bag doesn’t bother me but I don’t even like it this time so there isn’t that to fall back on. I’ve never gotten some of my favorite brands, like Lisa Frank, tarte, makeup forever, Kat Von D, etc… I have my preferences set but I feel like i keep getting whatever is left, or whatever they feel I should like because I’m 35. I’ve never complained on here so don’t want to come off as ungrateful to those that may love what I got…if Ipsy hadnt of gotten rid of the one choice item per month, I could at least know there would be one thing I’d like. This time it’s a flat zero for me. It’s only $10 but $10 in the pocket is better than a little bag of product that isn’t for me.

I worry about the Glamour Dolls bronzer because I’m black and I don’t want it to be a bronzer that is lighter than my skin tone. I guess I’ll see. Also hope the tarte blush is a shade that works for me. I hope the sizes of the mask and scrubbing cream is good. But everything in essence if it’s the right shade, makes this a good bag.
