I had really looked forward to this box; unfortunately nothing went right for anyone I don’t think. The box was super late, then when recieved I do say it was well presented though. The contents were a mixed bag. I thought the orange olive oil, the wrap, and the tiny little dish were worthless. Just about everyone anymore has tried orange olive oil and this particular brand is nothing special (though at least it was usable), the wrap just looked like something you’d get at an import table at a big fleamart, and the tiny dish…? The hair oil was really good, the scrub which was in the same line had a horrible off-putting smell, and because I live in Hawaii I’ve never even opened up the self bronzer. Ironically the thing I loved the most was the small foil sample container of the lemon olives. I could been happy with a whole box of those.

Then we got the notice that they wer reducing shipments and doubling the cost; like a few folks I thought I’d see how it went since I’d already paid for it at the lower price. Once again it was really, really late and I finally requested a refund. Never heard anything, and then wrote a polite but very honest message about community perception and managing expectations. I got an email back direct from Shalini appologizing profusely, siting that they had had some logistic issues, and that she would refund me immediately, but would also send me the box anyway to try. She said she was ccing some Director of something, which to his/their credit he too responded and issued the refund promptly. However, I never received the second box (Tibetan) as indicated, nor can I find any reference to it. Such a shame.

I’ll stay for the next box, but that will probably be my last one. That’s quite a price increase.

$100 for $200 value of who knows what?!? No thank you.

I’m not sure if they handled this the right way either…I don’t know if I will stay after this next box. Definitely will need more value in the boxes to justify $99.

After seeing the first box and realizing it was more than just beauty, I went to their website to possibly subscribe and saw that it went up to $99. I don’t think they are established enough to double their price. Also, will it be more product or the same thing but higher priced? $99 for any subscription to me is high. Even if its quarterly, its still $99 at once.

Exactly, unless they’re planning on doubling the goods- why such an increase with no explanation… Seems a bit much.

For a 100% increase in price, it’s too bad they didn’t say what the typical value of the new box would be vs the old value.
