Macy’s Beauty Box October 2017 FULL SPOILERS!

Guys, you are gonna laugh – Macy’s beauty box has a waitlist now!

Macy’s has a 10 Days of Glam event that started today. That means 50% off whatever are the items of the day.
For today it seems like I already missed anything exciting, but I’ll follow for the next nine days to use that $5 coupon I got in my box the other day. 🙂

This was my first Macy’s bag and I really kinda love it! The bag itself is really good quality vs the Ipsy bags (although its been a long time since I subbed with them). Being a subscriber of BoxyCharm and Sephora Play I was excited to receive a box that focused on skin care. IMO, learning the best of the skin care lines is MORE important than the makeup products. You can’t paint a pretty picture on a dirty canvas! My favorite part, though, is the mask. Like, I want a mask in EVERY sub box!!!

The bag says “life is short buy lipstick” yet they did not give us a sample lipstick in the bag. Lol

Got my box today, so glade I didn’t cancel cause i almost did. I really love the Macy bags! And the products are my kind of things. I’m looking forward to my November box.

Am I the only one that didn’t receive the coupon?

I am really annoyed with this bag…..there are no make up samples in here at all. I enjoyed my first two bags but this is all stuff for the face i will most likely not use as i have sensitive skin. Macy’s need to step it up of they are going to compete with Ipsy and Boxycharm. I mean they couldnt even theme a bag to go with October. more like a spring time theme if you ask me. ….annoyed to the fullest extent.

It’s my first month actually getting the box after they screwed up the first two months. I do like skincare, but I would also hope for some variety. At least there’s fragrance, so I’m glad about that, and the primer, but it seems like it’s very skincare heavy. Tip to Macy’s: you can NEVER go wrong by throwing in a lipstick. Even though no matter what shade you pick, at least 80% of the subscribers will claim they can’t wear it, it makes the box/bag more fun.

If anyone chooses to keep the subscription I have a helpful tip regarding the $5 coupon. There’s a unique online code plus you get free shipping on beauty boxes.
There’s a bar code on the back so you can take the coupon in store and take $5 again.

Although new makeup colors are fun, I’m glad to be getting a skincare based box for a change. They are pricey items that I hesitate to buy without trying first, and so I think that this is a very good value box. Yeah, I’m familiar with the Lancome stuff, but still, I will use it and I think this is a higher value box than those with primarily make up items. My only grip about this is that Macys sends the same box to everyone and I really don’t use drying products like clay masks.

I think it’s a good deal to get a trial size for $2.50 each product. Very surprised at all the complaints. Walmart has trial sizes of lotions and toothpaste for this much.

I would have thought Macy’s would have been better then this so glad I didn’t subscribe. I don’t see it lasting too long if they don’t up their game a little. Allure blows them away at the $15 price point and Ipsy blows them away at the $10 price point. Just my opinion.

I really thought Ｍacy’s was going to be difficult. Very disappointed. They just charged my card and now showing spoilers. It would’ve been really cool if they gave us some of the new holiday stuff. Like a mini bite lipstick, SOME different. But I do like buying cosmetics there bc of free shipping . 😏

I have gotten better GWPs than this selection for free. So glad I cancelled after the first month.

Nope. I’m cancelling as soon as I leave here. I’m sure some people are all about trying new skincare items, but I’ve got extremely sensitive skin. The last 3 skincare items they’ve sent have caused me to break out worse than I have since I was a teenager, (and I’m old). On top of that, I’ve been unable to use any of the $5 off coupons. When I try to use them online I get a notice that there’s a “technical error” and am told to call customer service about it. I’m not going to deal with customer service over a $5 item. I gave them 3 months. I’m not impressed, and I’m done.

I cancelled with my last box in September. After seeing the October spoilers I am relieved and have no regrets that I cancelled!!!

This box just keeps getting worse and worse.

I also decided I would give it 3 months – the boxes have been ok, but I can spend $15 on better than ok elsewhere. Cancelled!

You would think with all that Macy’s spends on advertising they would outdo everyone else on the $10 sub box sample market because these are the people that would buy full sized products from them instead as people have said they’re sending out samples you get free at the counter and getting bad press on the forums here.

I just finished my cancellation. Something tells me they had a max exodus. This is all the GWP leftovers. Remember when samples were the norm at cosmetics counter? Especially when you made a large purchase. Now they act like you’re requesting part of their paycheck.

I told myself I would give them three months. After seeing this, it’s time to go. It’s the shortest I’ve been with a subscription box when I wasn’t signing up for a specific box or promo. Shame. It had a lot of promise.

As a newbie to sub boxes (june 2017). I will say I like the 5$ off. Macy’s has free shipping on beauty products so I bargain shop with that $5 off. NYX is not a bad brand, and if your already starting with $5 off and free shipping, pick a product and try it, in 2 months of using coupon ive gotten 2 full sized products for 3.00 total. Just my opinion.

I think that for a subs 3rd month this isn’t terrible. I think as they go on and get more input they may get better with time. Some of my other subs have had crappy months too. I don’t think anything will ever be 100%. I love birchbox and look fantastic. I just started getting beauty fix. I cancelled sephora play to get macys. I kept getting stuff i didnt use. I love skincare stuff. Now if I only I can come up with a plan to try it all…..lol!
