  1. Anyone’s shipping still static? I ordered on the first day (9/14) and got a shipping confirmation that night. The package still apparently has not been handed over to USPS. This is really unusual for anything I get from Birchbox. I was wondering if I was the only one or if maybe they shipped out so much stuff so quickly that it’s a little backed up.

Also, if you got your package, what were your two free samples? Just curious.

    • My shipping hasn’t updated at all either & I received the tracking # on 9/15.

      • Sorry to hear that. I checked mine again this morning, and it has arrived in North Carolina, on its way to me in South Carolina. Supposedly it will be delivered on Monday, which still seems excessively long considering where it is, but whatever. At least it doesn’t seem to be lost.

        • Yes that does seem excessive!

    • Mine hasn’t updated at all either & I received tracking info on 9/15. (Sorry if this posts twice)

    • I got my order today… I got a free LOC lippie pencil (with $25 purchase) also, the two free samples were Visanti “Brighten up” exfoliating cleanser 0.7 oz. and Oribe supershine moisturizing cream 1.7 oz. very nice free samples. I’m pleased for once with Birchbox!

  2. I got mine yesterday! Fastest Birchbox shipping ever for me! I got Oribe Supershjne moisturizing cream 1.7 oz and Vasanti Brighten Up .7 oz as my 2 CAD samples. My chosen GWP was the Paula’s choice eye cream .16 oz. Very nicely done Birchbox!!!
(The Oribe and Vasanti were not in my cart either)

  3. I noticed that the mobile app still has some GWPS with ANY purchase (HUM powder, BeautyBlender cleanser packette, and Hoola luggage tag). It might be worth adding one of these to your order if it doesn’t meet the minimum for other GWPs.

  4. Baggu bag for 8 cents!!! Yayyy! Fun prints are sold out but I did get my favorite color in a solid

  5. I picked up the Indie Lee Clearing Mask, one I’ve had my eye on for a while. After my points and the 30 percent discount, I paid $33, plus got free shipping, the mystery pack and the full size Cynthia Rowley eye palette as my gift with purchase. Great deal!

    • How did you get the 30% discount? Is there a code?

      • Oh the sale page 😉

  6. Loving those free points! I got the new LE Box, and Marcelle eye makeup remover pads. Added on the myster sample pack and a hair care GWP. excited to try it all and get the extra free samples from Oribe and Vasanti!!!

  7. Finally got the Juicy perfume that I’ve been wanting, plus mystery sample box, plus Oribe and Vasanti samples, plus Best of K Beauty kit for $42. Not bad for roughly $115 worth of products.

(The Oribe and Vasanti samples didn’t show in my cart just like everyone else.)

  8. If anyone had any promo or coupon codes with purchase please share ☺️ I’m pretty excited about this bonus cash

  9. This came at the perfect time, as I’m already starting my holiday shopping. I have two BB accounts, so I was able to snag:

Account 1: For my mom, the Morrocan Oil Body Buff Fleur d’Oranger. For myself, the mystery pack + Ingredient Skincare Conscious Kit GWP. All for $18 (including tax).

Account 1: For my mom, the SuperGoop Defense Setting Mist (3.4oz). For myself, the Paula’s Choice eye cream GWP. All for $13 (including tax).

    Not bad for only $31!

The only thing I noticed was that for both purchases the Oribe & Visanti freebies didn’t automatically add to my cart like their email said they would. I’m actually okay if I don’t get these, as I really just wanted the discount, but it’d be interesting to read if others experienced the same.

    • They didn’t go into my cart automatically, either. It took so long for my order to go through that by the time I was able to place my order, I’d forgotten to look for that. Hopefully it’ll come automatically.

  10. It says free shipping on all orders on their website but I’m getting charged $5 for shipping?

    • I got the same five dollar charge and sent them a message. Of course all the cute baggu bags are gone too. I should just see if I can find them elsewhere cheaper anyway.

  11. Oh man they get me every time.

I got the Paula’s choice eye sample, mask kit and the shea black soap which is amazing for dry skin with occasional break outs. I discovered it before when i needed to add something to get a free gift. Now it’s my go HG when my skin is acting up.

  12. I posted a comment over an hour ago, and it never showed up. Subsequent comments have… Anyway, I used my points to buy two Acure facial wipes, since I use those every day. Two of them for $4 is awesome! No idea how I’m still an Ace, seeing as I haven’t had a sub in well over a year and never buy anything except when they give me free points like today.

    • And it posted finally. Probably being moderated, as a bunch of comments, including mine, popped up at once. Sorry for being impatient, mods, and sorry to everyone else for any repetition!

  13. It took forever and a day, but I finally got my order to go through. I had $10.19 in points (including the $10 in Ace points – no idea how I’m still an Ace since it’s been over a year since I had a sub, and I only buy when they give free points), so I got two packs of Acure facial wipes, since I use those every day. I was hoping to find a coupon code in the comments for a free box or something, and I found it too late (30% off as stated below). It would’ve saved me from spending anything (though I probably would have ordered a third pack of facial wipes), but oh well. I’m still pretty happy getting two of those for less than $4, plus I’m supposed to get the two free samples. Thanks, Birchbox!

  14. used coupon code LIMITED for 30% off. got power of beauty limited edition box, off duty hair kit and mystery sample pack. all for under $37

    • This didn’t work for me 🙁

      • Maybe it’s only for orders over a certain amount? I was sad that I missed it for my $14 order, but maybe it wouldn’t have worked anyway.

        • I think it only works for a couple of the limited edition boxes.

  15. The website wasn’t working for me either. I couldn’t get my order through, so I kept trying and it finally worked…but the $11 in points I had applied to my order wasn’t included. Already contacted customer service so hopefully they take care of the issue. 😯

    • Wow, I got a super fast response from customer service that also gave me a nice laugh…

“I’ve retroactively applied 113 Birchbox Points to your Order #11.30 and refunded you the difference of $122103304. ”

Oh, I wish Birchbox. I wish! Imagine all the sub boxes I could buy then. 😂

      • Wow, I could pay off my student loans with that kind of refund, then maybe buy a latte (because that’s all I would have left over).

  16. I purchased the 100% pure organic coffee bean eye cream. Was nice to get $10 off and a free lip pencil (LOC Cupid’s bow lip gloss pencil).

  17. The site is stalling for me as well. I can’t add any items to my cart…it says “service unavailable”.

    • Order went through, and I was able to add a gwp before the $10 off was applied!
I didn’t see the other two items added to the cart, but at least I got to choose 1 and get a huge discount. I’ll cross my fingers that the Oribe and Vasanti products are included as well.

      Thank you Birchbox!

……And thank you MSA for reminding us about this event!!

  18. FYI, the 20% off upgrade is only good for 12 month sub, not 6, according to the customer service rep i was just chatting with on their site.

  19. Their site isn’t working for me now, I was trying to checkout and it froze up forever. Now the screen is just blank

  20. Okay.. 20% off a sub? Thats pretty good. In your experience would you say this is the best deal they offer? Was considering waiting for Black Friday, but after looking at last BF sales, it didn’t seem like Birchbox offered a great BF deal for new subs. Should I wait or go for it?

    • I got 30% off on Black Friday year before last but not sure I’ve seen that since?
I’m personally done subbing to Birchbox… but depends what you’re looking for – may not want to do a 12 month commitment!

      • I’m kind of a basics girl with beauty and I want to branch out and find new products, expand my very minimal collection. I like that birchbox doesn’t just do makeup, but hair and skincare too. Why are you unsubbing?

        • Michelle, I think you will enjoy receiving Birchbox. I have only received Beauty boxes for a year, so almost everything I receive is new and usable. I believe that in my ten months, only one box was a total disappointment. When I contacted them about receiving so many products that were not relevant to my profile, BB credited me an additional box on my subscription.

          • Thanks, Alyce! I went ahead and purchased the 12 month sub. I got it for $88 so a little over $7 a box. Can’t beat that!! I think it will be worth it for me. I really hate the idea of going out and buying a full size product that I end up hating or not using all of. PLUS, I really don’t wear a huge amount of makeup daily, so I think sample sizes are actually perfect for me. Why buy full size and then hardly use it? That’s my major thought process for Birchbox.

  21. Got the Shiseido Facial Cottons for free 🙂

  22. Yay for free points, thanks BB!! I’ve been wanting to try a pair of the Bomba no-show socks as I love the ankle pair that I believe was included in an LE box a while ago, but never could justify $12. With these gift points, I was able to pick them up for $2! Score! 😀

  23. They also have (new? I haven’t seen them yet) limited-edition boxes. I just bought the no-makeup makeup one, which costs $22 and includes Lipstick Queen frog prince.

    • the lipstick is travel-sized, I don’t want to mislead.

  24. Nice! I had $7.50 in points; so plus the $10 was able to get a full size bottle of Living Proof Dry Shampoo for $4.50!

    • Good pick- I love that stuff!

  25. does a limited edition box count as a full-size item in order to receive the two extra samples?

    • I was wondering the same. Probably not!

      • nope 🙁

    • Yes, it does. I ordered a LE box, mystery sample pack, ingredient concious GWP and did chat with a CS who said my two free samples will be included. You can also use full size promo codes with LE boxes, I have done several times before.

  26. I bought 3 OPI Sheer Tint Polishes for under $8 out of pocket. Nice!

  27. I got a full size Acure day cream and an Acure Wonderfluff, plus a free Smith and Cult Lip Lacquer for spending $35+. $25 out of pocket with points (including some I had banked). Pretty nice deal! I hope the Vasanti item included will be the scrub — my favorite. I haven’t been a Birchbox subscriber for over a year, but I am trying to maintain my Ace status. I do love shopping with Birchbox when they do things like this.

    • How do you stay an ace without being subscribed? I haven’t been happen with my boxes for a while but haven’t pulled the plug because I like the ace perks.

      • *happy

      • You’re supposed to spend at least $300 in a calendar year either in the Birchbox store, through your subscription payments, or through gift subscriptions that you purchase to become an Ace.

  28. I’m always happy to have some extra money – $10 is a nice gift.
