Has anyone heard anything more recent about August boxes? I cancelled last month because of the July issues (which I had forgiven them for) and August! Two months in a row is not a good sign! August is supposed to be my last box, but I feel bad for the people who paid for a year up front and still have a good bit of money invested! Hope they let people know something soon! I know it looks very bad on them!
My friend lives there and she just went back to college because it opened back up. I think this business just used this as an excuse because it was already going down
Katina, I agree with you. The hurricane struck there 8/21/17, and by that time, all August boxes should be mailed. Also, there were hurricane warning for at lease four days prior the hurricane, you think that business would hassle to send off the product to its customer in these pre-warning days, instead let it sit in warehouse and get flooded.
Ok I live in Texas and Houston has been hit really hard .That said shipping should have already started so in my heart I hope their just not using it as an excuses as others have stated. I’ll pray everyone is safe because that’s all that really matters in the big picture .
I agree with you. I ordered my box on August 4th and I’ve yet to get a shipping update or anything from BB5.

I looked back at my records (yeah, geeky, I record all incoming mail) and they always ship the last week of the month anyway, so I’m okay with that and glad that they are keeping customers in the loop (this time at least).
Like other people and myself has said, they should have started shipping 1 or 2 weeks BEFORE the hurricane.
I myself don’t think this box is low quality, I think it’s MUCH better than Birchbox and Allure. I’m wondering if Birchbox or Allure are now sending all full size products like BB5? If so, I will sign back up with them.
Yes, I’m worried, I’m prepaid thru February – I am definitely cancelling then. Not because of these delays, but just fear of them going under, and most of what i get from them is low quality.
Wow. I’m not even surprised they used this as an excuse. If you look at their Facebook page ppl have been complaining for months to no avail. Shame on them for using the hurricane as copout
I do not want to sound like a b..ch, and my heart goes who suffers from this hurricane, but I feel like this company uses hurricane as an excuse. The hurricane started 8/25, and the boxes should be shipped way before that. I think the August box was due to be delayed with or without hurricane.
I was thinking the same thing. I still like BB5 and am okay with my box being late, since I get so many subs, but for those that don’t have a lot they are looking forward to this, and August 25th does seem ridiculously late to be starting your shipment. It’s not the delay that bothers me – it’s the dishonesty.
100% agree. We pray for the innocent people and animals in Texas. Shame on BB5 for using the hurricane as an excuse. They stated at the beginning of the month that they would ship the August boxes on the 18th. Wonder what their excuse will be when the October boxes don’t go out in October.
