I’m so “meh” about this one that I’m tempted to cancel Ipsy again…

I found out yesterday that all my kvetching about opt outs & exclusions was for naught. I guess I canceled before the August deadline.

So you just request one of the products via email & you get it? Is it an extra item or considered as one of your 5?
Also I know everyone pays for these subscription boxes & have every right to complain (I have complained more than once myself) but just an idea…I piled all the products I don’t use/like from my multiple subscriptions into all those extra ipsy bags & donated them to a domestic violence shelter. Omg, the amazing feeling I got from the feedback from the shelter’s rep makes me WANT to get items I don’t like. I also was able to clear space from my sub box “hoarding”.

Yay! I’m so glad I waited to request an item, I wasn’t keen on anything before the Hey Honey facial scrub. Great brand. I also added bronzers to my opt outs (previously just eyeliners), and they said that the opt-outs are now FOREVER instead of 3 months! I just have to let Ipsy know if I want to start receiving them again. Awesome.

I asked for the belif aqua balm and got a really refreshing customer service email back saying they had made sure I would get the aqua balm.

Wow, I’m pretty sure that’s all the spoilers now and I actually do not want ANY of these items. It’s never happened in the years I’ve subscribed that I didn’t like SOMETHING in the spoilers. It’s all good though, the last 2 months have been AWESOME! So I can roll with it. I hope there’s some nice stuff (particularly lip items) that’s not in the spoilers. If I could, I would opt INto last month’s leftovers even if they’re repeats, hehe! 🙂

I requested the Steve Laurant liquid black eyeliner and was told it would be in my August bag! Sure hope so… I’m almost out! Hopefully, it’s a good one!

Can I ask *not* to get nail polish from them? At all? I was so disappointed when I got some last month. It was a nice color, but I never wear nail polish (can’t stand the feel of it).

Is that going to be the bag? the good vibes one?

I’m excited about the huge number of products available. I hope I get something good!

I sent a request for the Josie Maran foundation back on the 10th and was told they couldn’t guarantee I’d have it in my bag, but if I’d like to select anything from this short list (first spoiler group with black eyeliner, black mascara, face masks, etc) they’d be sure to put it in my bag. :/ I declined to choose anything from that list of meh. I wanted to send back the Gutadema meme!

By saying those two products that will be sampled this month, does it mean that every subscriber will get them?

That peeper perfect isn’t even on their site.

I haven’t seen any lip products listed, but hopefully there are some coming in the full list. The lipsticks/glosses/balms tend to be my favorite items.

What is the winky lux peeper perfect? A primer? I can’t find any info on it.

Going to be brave and just go with whatever Ipsy picks this month. Hopefully, the sample gods are kind. They still have a lot of making up to do for the horrid June box.

Has anyone used that Gavee Gold product? If so, what did you think of it? Also, is it a moisturizer or a serum?

I had two in my stash, but had to toss one because it was basically empty, and what was in there was all gummy. The other one looks fine, and I was planning on using it soon as a serum, but wasn’t sure if that’s what it’s meant to be, and their sight doesn’t really say. Thanks!

Does anyone else think that zipper pull might be a tassel rather than metal? It seems to have the right shape and shading. That would be extra awesomeness for me; I love tassels and fringe.
