I got the pastel box, and I love it. I got:
-skip the brush, blush stick in sweet peach. Very pretty, stealth glitter, though, didn’t realize it had any when I swatched it until I put it on my face. Oh, well, still pretty
-Sheer moisturizing lip gloss in delighted. Lovely color, definitely one I will use often
-4 nail polishes: Fifi, Teri, Linda, and then I gave one away, it was a light pink but a matte finish, which I don’t like, and I don’t remember its name. (I also did an add on and got Danielle from the mystery wave polish, and it is beautiful, kind of a duochrome effect)
I love this box. I wish I had gotten all three, honestly. But I did sign up for a three month sub, and I got the 12 free polishes, which are amazing, a few reds, oranges and greens, all definitely colors I would wear.
The blush stick and lip gloss I would certainly buy full price. I was really impressed.

This is my first experience with Julep and I think it’s all great quality, but I probably should have gotten the neutrals box for shades I can wear everyday. But, that eyeliner…love it!

Question for regular Julep customers- today when I added a mystery box to my cart then browsed around and added some $5 special polishes to my cart, they showed up as $14 whenever I clicked on my cart. I started to feel like I was nuts….go to the shopping screen: $5. Add to cart: $14. What gives? This was before trying to use the code for a regular priced polish. I emailed CS but haven’t heard back yet.

I’m so glad they divided up the boxes this way, as I do not like neutrals and dislike them even more since I’ve been getting beauty bags, which are usually neutral overload.

Swapping on MSA is directly responsible for me buying more mystery boxes and subscriptions than I normally would be I just think “oh, it’s okay, if I don’t like something I can just swap it away!” There are plenty of folks who are as happy to get my neutrals as they are to send me their bolds, yay!

I wish they would at least let us know the number of products that will be beauty vs. nail polish. I’d jump if I had a better idea.

I was deciding between the pastels and neutrals but I went with neutral bc I like to do a natural look sometimes and I’m always looking for new neutral products. I didn’t get a mystery box for a while so I’m excited to finally see one that I’m interested in

I would totally cave but I like my lip and eye colors neutral and my polish colors bold, plus normally there’s a spoiler so you’ll know you like at least one thing. With addons opening today I’ll take a money save anywhere I can get it. 😛

I caved and bought the pastels mystery box and added a nail polish for free – thank you Liz! I have been wanting to try Julep and depending on how this turns out, I might sub. I am learning how to apply polish and now that I know a bit and it doesn’t look too amateur – really want a nail polish sub that is reasonable.

Does anyone else have problems with julep’s cream polishes? I tried several pastels this spring and had a hard time getting an even coat. Something about the formula.

Caved and got the bold box. Neutrals and pastels are not my thing, so I really appreciated that I could opt for a bold. I hope I’m not disappointed. I’m a regular maven and this will be my first mystery box (besides the mystery polish grab bags awhile bag).

I’ve had my eye on this sub for a while, so I caved and bought the bold box. I hope I like it.

I have skipped Julep boxes throughout the year and haven’t purchased any Julep products since November or December. I’m tempted to jump on this deal because hopefully I won’t receive any dupes from what I already have. Hmm…

I’d buy all three in a heartbeat if they were all nail polish but since I have more makeup than I’ll ever use in a lifetime, I’ll pass!

Ah, they are wrong about me — I can’t stand neutrals! So boring. I want bright, obnoxious, bold colors. Easy pass.

aarrgghh! must…..resist…..temptation……too strong! why do I feel like I NEED all three? 🙂
