Honest Company Baby Wipes Recalled


The Honest Company has voluntarily recalled their Baby Wipes. Details below:

The Honest Company is voluntarily recalling certain lots of Wipes. This product is distributed in the United States and Canada in the following configurations:

  • 10 count packages, UPC 0817810011276, 0816645024079, 0817810011276
  • 72 count packages, UPC 0817810011863, 7000000011863, 0816645023584, 0816645023591
  • 288 count packages, UPC 0817810014680
  • 576 count packages, UPC 0817810028540

Please note that wipes are also included in Honest Diaper Cakes, Baby Basics Gift Set and Baby Arrival Gift Set.

Certain lots of these Wipes are being voluntarily recalled due to the possible presence of mold. We believe the affected product is not likely to cause adverse health consequences, however, impacted wipes do have a spotted discoloration and the aesthetics are unacceptable. Out of an abundance of caution, The Honest Company has decided to voluntarily recall certain lots of this product.

Consumers may return affected product to their point of purchase for a full refund.

  1. I got through with CS and four of my packs are part of the recall (from two separate bundles). They told me to dispose of them, no need to ship them, and since they do not currently have enough wipes they will not ship them not but will notify me when they are available. She also said I was being refunded, so idk if Im being refunded or if Im going to be backordered for new wipes?

    • They replied to my e-mail. They told me to discard the wipes and the amount they wee refunding (I had 3 affected packs from them). Then I got a separate e-mail saying my refund was processed and:
      “Please note: Depending on your bank, it may take 3-5 business days for this refund to be reflected in your account.”

      So, I would expect a refund to show up in your account in 3 – 5 business days.

  2. You can return them to target for a refund if that’s where you bought them. If they came from a bundle you can email/call or chat with them and they will refund you and you dispose of them yourself. No need to ship

  3. Babyganics posted on facebook about an issue as well. They must use the same manufacturer. I have been doing the bundle for nearly 3 years so my stash is HUGE. :/

  4. There is a link in the e-mail Honest Co. Sent to me that allows you to check the lot number. I have no idea why they would list the UPCs but then tell you hiw to check the lot number. Since they told me they were low on wipes and could not send them with my bundle I bought a 4 pack at Target (opened the packaging if course). All of the wipes are from the affected lot. Would gave been nice if they were “honest” upfront. I wouldn’t have bought their wipes. The 1-888 number is busy. I’m going to e-mail them.

    • Thanks for the link. Mine is part of the recall. It was included in one of my Target Baby Boxes. Wonder how you can get a refund for these?

      • I contacted Target Guest Service by email and included my order # and was just refunded the full amount and I don’t have to return the box.

    • I have 4 packs that are being recalled, one of which only has like 3 wipes left in it. If we got them in a bundle, do they expect us to ship them back to them????

    • Return them to target and get a refund. It doesn’t matter if opened since it’s part of the recall

  5. My lot number is 49183 20:40 04 EXP2020 01 18. Have my honest wipes been recalled?
