Julep Maven May 2017 Selection Time + Free Gift Coupon!

This post may contain referral/affiliate links. Read the full disclosure.

It is selection time for the Julep Maven May collection! Here are the items you can pick from:

Tousled beach hair, softest flip-flop feet and super lightweight sun protection—our May collection is all about getting you primed for sunshine. Add to that our new boho-bright polishes, and you’re ready for all the summer fun coming your way.

We channeled the beaches of Belize for our new collection of boho brights. These surf-worthy matte shimmers look the part at desert festivals too.

Whatever sun-kissed fun comes your way, keep your skin extra protected with No Excuses Invisible Sunscreen Gel SPF 40. It’s totally transparent and lightweight—perfect for everyday use. With sun protection that feels this good, you have NO excuses not to wear it on the daily.

Fresh-from-the-beach waves and tip-top tootsies are SO easy with our customer faves Sea Salt Texture Spray and Mint Condition Pedi Crème. The texturizing hair mist plays up your hair’s natural waves and feel without ever drying it out. And of course, sandal season wouldn’t be complete without smooth feet. Our skin-quenching cucumber mint formula soothes and moisturizes while Alpha Hydroxy Acid gently exfoliates rough, dry skin. Now you’re ready to hang ten!

  1. I liked the nail polish colors but overall, I wasn’t feeling this box, so i decided to skip. I’m sure I’ll be a bit sad when I don’t get a box, but the last mystery box was such a BUST for me, I think I need a month’s break from Julep, even if I’m a super fan girl.

  2. All of the colors are gorgeous but I SO wish they weren’t matte! I decided to skip the polishes this month because of it. ☹️ I was also hoping that the facial oil would be an option this month or at least as an add on. Oh well! I’m getting the sunscreen, foot cream and some rhinestone decals instead. This is still my favorite sub.

  3. I LOVE the colors! I subscribed up to buy them, BUT I’m a little worried because I received a Julep polish in a subscription box once and it chipped off in less than a week. I believe I used a Sally Hansen base coat and 1 coat of Julep. Does anyone have any advice on how to make Julep last longer? Thanks for any tips! 😀

    • “Less than a week” i need what youve got bc im lucky if i get 2 days with my juleps 😣 (i have gotten upto 5 with a few though- my nails are paper thin…and peel. I do remember bfore using julep, my polish would last very well, and my nails never peeled…but…ohhhh prettyyyyy coollloorrs)

      • I put on some Julep polish last night and by late this morning it was already chipping. 🙁 Their polishes are pretty low quality.

    • I have a lot of luck when I use one of their top coats with it. I do a lot of stuff with my hands (plus my nails grow FAST) But I can manage about ten days with it looking somewhat decent, if I use a top coat.

    • My Julep polish last a week. I might last longer but I do my nails every Sunday. I put one coat of Julep polish, and then top coat. Very happy with it.

    • Thanks for the feedback everyone! I’m going to experiment with the Julep base and top coats and see how it goes.

      • Try the nails inc nail kale base, my juleps last 2 weeks typically unless it’s a bad formula.

    • I would definitely suggest at least two coats. I can’t get one coat of any nail polish to stay on for more than two days without chipping, even with base and top coat. Plus multiple coats give a deeper color and more even coverage.

  4. I skipped polishes. While I don’t mind matte, I don’t like the glitter. I chose the box with the sunscreen, sea salt spray, and foot cream for an extra $5.

    • How is it only an extra $5? I show it for an extra $13.

  5. I skipped again this month – I don’t like matte polishes and overall the colors are a miss for me (again). Come on Julep! I’ve got enough Jules for a free box, but they just haven’t been winning the past few months.

  6. I chose sunscreen and stick that cleans your face and of course added three polishes as add on.

  7. After reading reviews on the free box of polish, I was very happy that I chose 30% off 6-month subscription over the free polishes 🙂
    I used coupon code “SPRING30”

    • I loved my free box of polish. There were a few colors that were too mature for me, but it’s a $168 value that I got for free, so I’m nonot mad. I don’t know who was saying bad things about the free set. It was awesome, and it came with a 50% off any order.

  8. I’m getting the sunscreen and the foot cream. I’m not much of a matte girl, so I skipped on the polishes.
