I hate when companies describe themselves as all natural, organic, vegan. It sounds all good until you realize they don’t say cruelty-free. Somehow a vegan item that isn’t also cruelty-free just doesn’t make sense. Or maybe they hope consumers don’t realize that vegan and cruelty-free are not synonymous.

Jane, I checked their website and it does say their products are cruelty-free. Sort of buried at the bottom of the page. It makes me wonder though, why down there when up at the top of the page, in all caps, they proudly list all the things not in their products. Such as parabens, sulfates, and a whole slew of other buzzword *bad* ingredients. With all the information they provided for this post they should also say they are cruelty-free. I had no interest in looking further into their products until you pointed it out. Taren, I know what you mean. I’ve had to do so much research in my quest to go cruelty-free. So many companies work real hard at blurring the lines.

People also confuse “organic”, assuming it means no animal byproducts, or “not tested in animals” to mean vegan also, or assuming vegan means organic! Lol, I could go on and on! I work in the cosmetics industry & have to explain this all the time.

I’ve never heard of Delia Organics before. I’m always so impressed with new brand discoveries, especially in the natural beauty boxes, so now I’m extra excited for next month’s box. 🙂
